Don't copy plush artists designs!

Just don’t do it! If they sell the patten, buy it. If they don’t make the patten available, respect that and don’t try to mimic them. Not only is it super disrespectful to them, it’s a huge disservice to yourself. If you are talented enough to copy a plush just looking at the photo, don’t waste your talent copying something that’s already been done. Make your own designs. Sell them, release then for free, hoard them, just… Bring more creativity into the world instead of tearing other artists down! And don’t assume slight changes will throw us off. We know our patterns and our seam placements better than anyone else. When you copy them, we know!

YeAH also, don’t bloody ask OTHER artists to COPY someone elses designs! I just got a commission request asking me to make one of Lisa Toms’ forest spirits. How insulting is that? Who the hell do you think I am? “Oh well just change the colour of the eyes or change the legs a bit”… WHAT? on yer bike!!

It really kills me when I see other people that have blatantly been asked by a commissioner to copy my design.. As Magna said, I and many other plush artists check out plushes online daily. We will see it.

I don’t have an embroidery machine sadly. Everything is done with a normal machine or by hand.
