La la land has made it to my list of favorite movies
A little something I’m attempting this week
Through vast jungles, scorching deserts, endless oceans, You taught me to live without fear. The words of kindness and comfort slipped into Me like a pill spreading numbness towards my heart. I followed blindly, unable to see the path And with one last loving word You let me go Into the emptiness you lead me to.

Through seas of torment and misery, You lay in the bondage of oppressors And I gave you the means to be set free. Before then you came to nest here. A place not your own which you called home. I let you and sacrificed a place to rest near. I’ve witnessed chains on those forced to roam, Witnessed hundreds rise for what’s right, United to fix what is set in stone. Have you ceased and given up the fight? New wars arise inside and out, Will you fall at oppressors and yield to the night? The very thing you fought against since the beginning You have become, there is no winning.

Keep them close to your heart, Let the words bind your soul to mine. This shining amulet, An emerald swinging pendulum, It’s hypnotic rhythm casting a spell. Our paths and hearts now intertwined, My heart remains inside the amulet.

Little one’s minds wrapped in awe. Colors, shapes, and light of joy. Sands in hourglass slip through. Hands now clasp reality. Few find true wonder in everyday. The seekers never cease their praise.

Pattering of rain on window pane, Melody of oceans piercing hearts, A storm wages inside minds. Yet why does my soul remain calm? The sand so far away brought close; I cross the line in hope of moving forward, In hope of committing to the changing tide Yet why does my soul find peace? Waves crash against solid rock, Hands laid on top other’s grief, I lift my voice amidst the salt tears, Yet why does my soul find joy?

Time takes what it does not have. Our days must be used and treasured. Regret waits at the corner of wasters. And time steals again. Our days must be used and treasured. Every second is a gift uncertain. And time steals again. Worries cloud our next judgement. Every second is a gift uncertain. Minutes are spent to decide what's next. Worries cloud our next judgement. Time steals our seconds spent in thought. Minutes are spent to decide what's next. Time steals our seconds spent in thought. Regret waits at the corner of wasters. Time takes what it does not have.
Greedy time and worried wasters | 3/6/17
Words take different forms as a river is never the same, but Life, It shouldn't be determined by what's convenient. Now if culture could stop playing god, Stop building altars out of sacrificed bodies, Life, The word itself would make a little more sens

I am lost in a world that doesn’t exist, a thousand faces and two thousand empty eyes gaze at me from behind lilac clouds, through the sky I fall, only to be dropped into an impossible river, bubbling over dreams on the way to a future so bright it seems to be made of starlight.

This day has been a glowing hope in my chest for years: the day we jump the ocean, the day we break through the roadblocks keeping us apart. Our family was like a river with a rock placed in the current and now that that rock has been removed we can flow freely, laughing and loving. Nature stood no chance against us – against our strength, against the determination of our love.

No one knows, but I look for you in a crowd: the flame I turn my eyes to when everything is spinning. When everything is chaos, you’re still the north my compass finds time and time again. We are noiseless but we are loud in our own way: flashing neon, spotless dancefloors and the cool fingers against my skin.

he’s like a rhythm that makes my feet want to dance; he’s the sunset after a long day when the world is getting quiet and i’m left to myself. he makes flowers grow in the marrow of my bones and light sprout in my ribcage and he is my boy to hold.
he made me euphoric simply by being him // abby, day 255 // prompt for anon (via elysianink)
I’m a sweet summer girl with cherries on her tongue and laughter ground into her skin like the freckles I got from too much sunshine – I should be thinking about a summer boy, with light in his eyes and sunrays for fingers, but all I can see is your winter smile and your cool hands and your love like a warm sweater or a fireplace. God forbid I should ever let summer take you from me.
