Simple, sweet nicknames were easy for Lynn to remember. And Adranil's was no exception. Her own stage persona repeated back at her, as her friend greeted her warmly. "Oh, believe me my life has felt like a never ending whirlpool of rehearsals and delivery requests," the brunette chuckled.

Lumiose was a lot bigger and busier these days. With the inclusion of wild zones and most the new gym leaders had stayed congregated around the city. It felt more ...clustered..as Lynn would put it. But it also meant there was something exciting always happening there.

"Ah, I know a certain pyukumuku that has the same impulses," she bemused while watching Aster fuss over the attention it was receiving.

"Alas, Uzume has joined me on the shopping trip today," she said gesturing at the shiny luvdisc floating nearby. "I was hoping to find something that might match with her. Wanna switch things up on the stage, y'know?"

With that she straightened herself up more. A curious tilt of her head followed. "Should I assume you have came to these boutiques for inspiration, too?"

"I guess life and Mother Nature decided to bombard all of us with being extra preoccupied this season." There was no retaining the defeated sigh that escaped Adranil.

It had really been a long time since she had been in Lumiose. There was a lot that had changed in the past few months. It almost seemed like a different region entirely. Not that she was complaining, it meant variety and new opportunities to discover.

She tucked Aster under her arm like a sack of potatoes. The small Pokémon trying to wriggle out of the grasp slowly before going limp in the hold. "Even so, he's my little baby."

"Hi there, Uzume! Pretty as always." Adranil greeted jovially, waving with her free hand. Brown eyes watching the shiny Luvdisc. She turned her attention back to her friend. "You guessed it! Using the same designs over and over is gonna bore the audience, especially in this profession. So we performers gotta keep changing and adapting. And what better way then to get inspiration from one of the biggest fashion capitals in the world right now."

All these clothing boutiques around Lumiose City and she still couldn't find those iconic beachwear outfits that Alola had. Heck, it was the middle of summer. They had to have something around here. Alas, it seemed like she would instead have to work on constructiing her own outfit this time around.

And that meant gathering the materials...

During her train of thought she vaguely heard a pattering, that may have been getting....oh! Suddenly she felt something collide into her leg. She look immediately stepped back, blinking as she gazed upon the ground. The espurr was lying there in a daze, recovering from the mishap.

Slowly, she went to kneel down to examine the feline like psychic type. Even her own luvdisc was curious until they perked up at the sound of a familiar voice.

"Ehhh?? Addy?" Lynn returned the other coordinator's name with just as much confusion in her tone. "I haven't seen you in forever!~" she exclaimed, then making an ahem before turning her attention at the dazed pokemon...

"And this has be Aster, right?~"

"Lynnie! It is you!" Adranil smiled warmly at the sound of her nickname. It really had been a good while since the two had last seen each other. Them being at the same shopping district was either a coincidence or life's plan. Either way, it was great to see a familiar face after so long. "Life decided to throw Wing Attacks at me recently, I've hardly been able to leave Artazon, let alone Paldea."

She knelt down to brush dust from her espurr's fur. The psychic-type trilling at his trainer's fussing, enjoying the touch and attention. "Ya vez, tesoro? This is what happens when you don't stay close."

"Yeah, this is Aster. The youngest of my team. I'd like to say he's sorry for bumping into you, but he's clearly a spoiled baby and regrets nothing." Adranil picked up the small feline.

Mesagoza at this time of year was definitely warm. Not scorching or sweltering, but perfect for a cool item, beverages or ice cream. Smiling at the kids and Pokémon running by, Adranil watched them play about.

There, she noticed a person trying to read a map in the Paldean language. She didn't know every person in Paldea, but she sometimes made it her business to help those in need. "Um, hi there! Did you need any help?"

"Aster, don't go too far." She called out to her Espurr who trotted in front of her.

Adranil had traveled to Kalos, on the hunt for new costume inspirations. With how busy she had been at home in Artazon, as well as helping at the Academy in Mesagoza, it had been quite some time since she had traveled at all.

She sighed, checking her phone for any important notifications. The sound of her Pokémon toppling over garnered her attention. Aster laid on the ground, stun-locked at having run into something. "Aster, tesoro, I take my eye off of you for one second- I'm sorry about my little guy, he-.... Lynn?"

If anyone ever tries her, she once watched someone try to judge her brother for his Lopunny and he clapped back with, "I am man enough to admit I like cute things, BunLi included because she was a Buneary. I am also man enough to deduce that you are projecting an insecurity, so either you leave or I will challenge you to a battle and BunLi will expose what kind of Pokémon you have."

OOC: I'm alive!

I'm so sorry that it's been two months!!!!! Ale is finally free (mostly). For now, I'm still working on new icons (resizing and coloring) but if anyone wants an interaction/starter, like the post (Or DM me) and I'll try to work on some.

Non-important life updates under the cut. TL;DR: A ton of stuff broke down at home and some other cool stuff happened.

First off.... I GOT TO SEE BTS LIVE!? My friend got us tickets bc he knew I'm a kpop fan (He's not) and I had so much more fun than I expected. (I'm not the biggest BTS fan for petty reasons against a former classmate). Anyway, that was cool.

After that, I was very busy with making my senior theater students some gifts, as well as my nephew graduating. Got emotional seeing them walk the halls in their caps and gowns, then across the stage.

Then my dad's car broke down, got fixed, then broke down again and as of yesterday (6/27/26) is fixed AGAIN. During that time, our fridge/freezer also broke down. My dog got really sick. And my dryer is also threatening to give out but is still hanging in there.

Pokémon Headcanon Meme: Always Accepting

Like other trainers, she's close to everyone on her team. And while she's had three pokémon who have been with her since childhood, her partner pokémon is and always will be her Gengar; Susto.

Susto tends to stay out of his pokéball unless it's necessary (mostly for travel... or when he's flustered). When he's not lazing about or by her side, he hides in her shadow to stay close.

He's been her protector since the first time she ever captivated him. Susto is her partner-in-crime, but that doesn't always mean being up to mischief. He's always helping make situations lighter and keeping her out of the dark on certain days.

"On that note, if anyone sees Crystella fuming for the next ten minutes. I have no idea what she was going to tell us, but she started with "Can someone tell me why-" and belting "AIN'T NOTHING BUT A HEARTACHE" at the top of our lungs was not the appropriate reaction, apparently ."
