❀ sleepyhead❀ [killua x reader]
Prompt: Killua using Y/N’s lap as a pillow.
I used a prompt generator for the idea and I liked this one a lot. Take note I added some plot so it ain’t just a short scenario. ^__^
The five of you, Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Leorio and you, had to spend the time that Leorio gambled in the Trick Tower in a room.
All of you were doing your own thing. Leorio was taking a rest on the couch with his blue suit-jacket off and tie undone. Kurapika was busy reading a book from the bunch he found. Meanwhile, you were busy trying out Killua’s skateboard along with Gon. The two boys were teaching you how to ride the skateboard.
“I have never rode a skateboard before. This is nerve-racking.” You admitted, watching Killua set the skateboard down on the floor for you try.
“You can do it [Name]-chan! Just do what Killua told you, relax.” Gon cheered for you, giving you a thumbs-up. He just had to insist Killua for you to try his skateboard first before him.
Killua nodded in agreement and gave you a reassuring smile. It was the same smile that he flashed at you when he first met you back at the First Phase of the Hunter’s Exam. The same smile that made your heart melt and chest fuzzy all inside. “Don’t worry too much, it’s not like you’re gonna die [Name].” He stifled a laugh. “Come on.”
A sigh escaped your lips, “Fine, whatever.”
You shakily raised a foot and slowly got on the skateboard. Both of your arms were stretched out wide in the open space as you attempted to keep your balance. The skateboard rolled back and forth ever from your weight. You were actually doing quite good, you still haven’t fallen off.
“You’re doing great [Name]-chan!” Gon praised you.
“Are you just going to stand there?” Killua laughed which made you feel uneasy and flustered at the same time. His laugh was contagious. You were pretty sure your face was flushed in a shade of red. His laughter was cute.“Come on, move! Use your foot to slide you forward.”
“Okay, okay.” You took your right foot off the skateboard in order to slide it against the floor to give you a boost to move. However, as soon as you lifted a foot. The skateboard suddenly rolled backwards causing you to lose balance and fall frontwards. “Crap–!!”
Lucky for you, Killua was in front of you and he caught you right on time before you could hit the ground. You couldn’t make out the look on Killua’s face because you had your head resting on his shoulder with his arms around you to support you. You hear Gon snicker at the two of you. You and Killua looked like you were hugging each other.
“S-sorry!” You stammered, immediately pushing yourself away from Killua. Now that’s when you saw the look on his face. His cheeks were dusted in pink, he had an amused expression though. He shook his head at the sides and coolly ran his fingers through his silver-hair
“Pssh. It’s nothing!” He claimed, faking confidence. “I guess skateboard ain’t just your forte huh?”
“I just told you but you and Gon didn’t listen.” You huffed in annoyance, face still a bit red from earlier’s incident. You turned your head to Gon, “Your turn.”
You and Killua watch as Gon attempted the skateboard. You watched in surprise as the skateboard flew in the air and hit Leorio in the face. At least you didn’t do too bad unlike he did. What a relief. You and Killua stifled a fit of laughter, you two were trying your hardest not to laugh as you two watched Gon get scolded by Leorio.
The three of you were banned from using the skateboard after that so you looked for something else to mess with being the teenagers you are. The three of you ended up playing a game that Killua taught you and Gon in order to kill time. After that, you started to play with Gon’s fishing rod along with them.
But eventually the three of you had gotten tired after messing around. You had just finished changing into a comfortable shirt for the mean time. You turned your head to see Leorio snoring on the couch and Kurapika leaning by the wall with his head in between his legs as he slept peacefully. Your eyes continued to wander and eventually you found Gon fast asleep on the futon. Then there was Killua who was still wide awake. He was doing some neat tricks with his skateboard.
You decided to walk up to him, “Aren’t you sleepy?” You asked.
Killua got off his skateboard with a finishing trick before turning his attention towards you. He smiled and shook his head, “Not yet. You?”
“I’m not yet sleepy either.” You said, taking a seat with your knees on the other futon that was laid out on the floor. You futon was located on Gon’s right side.
Killua placed away his skateboard, placing it down besides Gon’s bag that was located in the corner of the room. He trotted towards his own futon that was beside yours and took a seat as well. He turned his head to face you, watching you comb your hair to get rid of the tangles.
You could feel his gaze on you even if you weren’t look straight at him in his piercing, ocean eyes. You could feel your face burn red again at thought of his gaze on you. The way he smiled and stare at you made you melt and weak on the knees. Everything about him was so intriguing. He may be an assassin, well, ex-assassin but he had this soft look.
He actually looked a cloud because of his hair.
Your eyes snapped wide as you felt something tap your shoulder. You lifted your gaze to see Killua, his face leaning against his knuckles as his elbow rested on his thigh. “You alright?” He asked, a smirk tugging on his lips which made your face contort into a look of confusion.
“Um, yeah? Why?” You managed to say.
“Your face is red. Are you blushing?”
You hung your head, letting your loose hair cover your face and for extra measure, you covered your face with your bare palms. “NO.”
“Yes, you are! Why are you so red, [Name]?”
You bit your tongue and shook your head.
You heard him click his tongue. You proceeded to shield your face with your hands and loose hair. You didn’t dare to take a peek of what’s going on as the atmosphere grew silent. You hoped he’d leave you alone and just sleep on his futon.
Your ears perked at the sound of shuffling. ‘He probably went to sleep already did he? God I hope he did, that cheeky bas- WHAT IS THAT?!’
You swear you felt your heart drop for a brief second as you felt something lay on your lap. It was fluffy and it was tickling your thighs. Suddenly, your hands were swatted away from your face by force as you felt something grab your wrists and the next you knew, you were staring into a pair of mesmerizing blue eyes. Killua was laying his head on your lap as if it’s nothing at all, he had that smug look written all over his face as he met your gaze.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Your heart was practically racing to the point that it could rip out from your chest if you fail to contain yourself. So many thoughts and emotions were running across your head right now. They were all mixed up altogether. You looked like a fuse that was about to blow in short notice.
“Laying on your lap obviously.” Killua said bluntly. “It’s pretty comfortable actually.”
Let’s just say, you fell short for words. You weren’t actually uncomfortable. In fact, you didn’t mind Killua using your lap as a pillow. You were enjoying it to be honest. You have never been this close to him before so it was a whole new experience for you. But it was so sudden that it caught you completely off guard.
“Hey.” You mustered out after a couple of seconds. “Killua? Oh–”
It took you a moment to realize that he had released your wrists and he had shut an eye already. Killua had fallen asleep on your lap. You stared at him intently, observing the tranquility that his face held as he softly snored in his sleep.
You sighed, tucking the loose strands of your hair behind your ear. “Liar, you said you weren’t sleepy yet. But look at you, sleepyhead.”
