Watercolor Practice
Work in progress
Theres a Chilean Author called Francisca Solar, these are some of the protagonists from her books from a series called Claytonverse. They are historical novels, and I looooveee them. So I fanarted them.
from top to bottom:
Abigail Clayton from Los Últimos Días de Clayton & Co.
Laura Villa-Smith from Bluebells
Fatima Aguirre fron El Buzón de las Impuras (I like this book the best, soooo good)
Theres a another book from the series but I havent read it yet.. there are very loosly linked so you can read one and it would be a finished story...
Some girls
Watercolor practice. For this I used Winsor & Newton watercolors, Vaohong pap
er, Caran d'ache water color pencils, sakura white gouahe, and procreate editing.
Experimenting with watercolors.
Hey Paln-k, are you planning on reading Life and Death? :)
Hi, oh my god, my reading list is so looongggg, im a slack. Im currently reading "el buzon de las impuras"
Brown ink and some procreate lazy coloring.
Colored ink is so satisfying.
May is just arround the corner...
Technicalpencil, colors and effects in procreate.
A Girl, maybe Elain Archeron...
Lotus. Done in watercolor and made some corrections in procreate (mainly darkened the bg color).
THOUGHTS ON BOOK A.I FANART.
Do you think A.I has ruined book fanart? Or, Do you think it gave people who cannot draw accurately from their imagination the oportunity to see (and let other people see) their characters from their perspective rather than another artist version?
I have mixed feelings, I used to love to read and then fanart book scenes and characters... but now A.I can do it so much better than I can, its frustrating. I know I can still do it and maybe enjoy it, but its never gonna be the same for me. I loved bringing my version of the characters to page and then share it, and maybe it was an ego feeding situation for me, for many times people would comment how they liked my interpretation of the characters or how they looked exactly how they too imagined them, or maybe an author got to see my art and share it and It was aweome!!! and that was a fuel for me to want to draw more fanart. Now A.I is so acurrate, and fast and complete, and artist communities have gone in a complete different way (less sharing, less interaction) that I no longer feel fueled to fanart. I still enjoy making art, dont get me wrong, that I do for myself and I dont reallly need an internet fuel, but for fanart...yeah, no. Its never gonna be the same.
I am happy for people who can now bring their vision of characters to "life" independantly of their drawing talent (although sometimes , many times, A.I makes all character look kinda the same, and that makes me sad, not happy)
I refuse to use A.I, for art.
Like the viral quote by Joanna “I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that I can do my laundry and dishes"
Have a beautiful day. Im go and read Fae smut and not make fanart of it.
(Sorry for any misspelling, remember english is not my first language)
