Actually, question: if you could make a like Intro To Cameramen: A 101 on Jared and Luca like syllabus or whatever, what would you put on it? like what do you think is good study material here?
every* cameraman reference in nirvanna the band the show / ntbts, ME! lol. — if i had the strength i would remake this entire thing because i feel like i missed so much but it does its job. would also just highly recommend watching the show from a camera point of view, thinking about why they chose to do certain shots the way they did and noticing what they choose to focus/zoom on.

Jew-Boy, Jared Raab — semi-autobiographical(?) script for his student film
Symbiopsychotaxiplasm: Take One (1968), William Greaves — fun fact, i cannot find it now but i believe this is one of luca's top 4 on letterboxd ^_^
Messingkauf Dialogues, Bertolt Brecht — it has been a while since i read Brecht but i know Matt talks about Verfremdungseffekt and this did change how i engage with performance, theatre and improv so i can't not mention it
How To with John Wilson (2020), John Wilson
Creep (2014), Patrick Brice
Other things that do not quite fit above but talk about the lines between reality and performance and/or constant surveillance:
