and then alternatively there are jay's delighted comments that are purely about matt's appearance (buff/yoked/handsome matt) which are genuine and teasing simultaneously. it's like. i am someone who loves you and thinks you are beautiful inside and out and i will keep saying these things to tease you affectionately and also in the hopes that you believe me and if even a fraction of my physical (and metaphysical) appreciation of you permeates your self-loathing barrier and your very real struggles that is a win in my books. and i will keep saying these things btw. because you are so beautiful and special to me. as ive said before.
