The first time Remus lost Sirius was when Sirius was sent to Azkaban. Back then, Remus thought he would never know greater pain.

James and Lily had just died, Sirius being the betrayer. Peter was dead by Sirius' hands as far as Remus knew.

But Remus still loved him, despite what he did. It was a feeling that he couldn't change even if he tried.

The second time Remus lost Sirius was in the Department of Mysteries. And this time there was no prison cell keeping them apart. There was no extra time or do-overs. He was gone, and he was gone for good.

Remus hated death. Death had taken so much from him. It had taken his best friends, and now Remus was left alone.

Again.

So the second time Remus lost Sirius, it put him in agonizing pain. Pain from the fact that he couldn't forget him. Pain from the fact that he still loved him after all this time. Pain from the fact that he would never see him again.

As years went by, Remus went on; things changed, he changed.

But the only thing that was constant was that he still loved Sirius.

And in all that time, he never did love anyone again.

Except it's Regulus talking to James right before he breaks up with him for the war, his parents, and ideals he never truly believed in.

The only thing Regulus knew was that he loved James, but that wasn't enough. He had a duty to his family, one he would never escape.

The only thing James knew was that he loved Regulus, and that their love could save them both if they let it.

So they parted ways, Regulus accepting his fate, James vowing that they would find their way back to each other.

In the end, they never did see each other again...

I will never understand Regulus hate. He was born and brought up in a cult and saw firsthand with his brother and cousin what happens when you go against the family. God forbid a CHILD try to survive in a culty household and war. People who hate him only see him as a death eater like hello??? Are u forgetting the main part of his story where he walks into his death destroying a horcrux??????? He ALONE at 17 discovered Voldys secret and died destroying a horcrux and people are hating on him????? HES A MFING WAR HERO!!!!

When I got back from Comic Con I was on the train and there was this drag queen getting ready for a show opposite me and my friends and started talking to us... I kid you not it was 1 of the best and funniest experiences I've had

Sirius Black is left handed

Remus first learns this when they are sitting with their hands interlocked doing work and Sirius just casually writes his essay with his left hand because his right is holding Remus’

And Remus is shocked because how has he never noticed??

And he’s not writing in his perfect Black cursive, his handwriting with his left hand is a lot messier, a lot more ‘him’

But the next day he is taking notes in class with his right hand and the perfect handwriting is back and Remus is so confused

So he finally asks Sirius about it and he tells him about how he was born a leftie

But his parents couldn’t have a defected heir, so they forced him to learn with his right hand

So now he can write pretty well with both but just defaults to the right because that’s what he’s always done

And Remus just decides at every opportunity to sit on Sirius’ right and hold his hand so he has to write with his left

Because it’s so beautiful and true and him

My biggest fear is one of my family members snatching my phone while it's on, and on a fanfic I was reading. Oh, the embarrassment. 🫣
