âYeah, I lived right on the beach so I spent almost all of my time there. Have you ever been?â Was he exaggerating a bit? Sure. But she didnât need to know that he lived in a van, it wasnât important at that time. Ryder laughed, nodding, âHow does tomorrow work for you?â He questioned, cocking a brow. âOh, youâre looking to get drunk then?â He smirked, pulling out a flask from his back pocket and handing it over to her. âWell, I think I can help you out with that⊠This stuff is pretty strong.â He grinned before nodding once more. âYep, simple as that. Spun the globe, here I am. I like to fly by the seat of my pants, I guess; keeps life interesting.â He hummed, âWell, you can be glad youâve met me, then, I can help you get loose. Iâm here to help however possible, including getting loose.â He clicked his tongue, leaning back on his palms, âWell Iâm not one to judge, but it might be part of your problem. Whatâs the last spontaneous thing youâve ever done?â
âthe beach? god no, not in a long time,â she thought about it for a moment. she might have been a senior in high school the last time she went to one. now thinking on it, when was the last time she left the area? other than her monthly trips to newark. âtomorrow is fine. iâm off work. hence the drinking.â her life resided behind that bakery door, she would not have come out if it had been a question. taking the flask from him, pandora let the liquid slip past her lips before handing it back. her face scrunched up at the burn but she swallowed it with little issue. âlast time i did something spontaneous? i donât really do spontaneous.â it might have been time she started living her life instead going through the motions. âyou know what? that stops right now.â
