Now available: limited edition Beet Poot jars!
@pandorkful sculpted these live on twitch, then worked for weeks to get the scale just right for printing out perfectly. They even have a lovingly sculpted booty ass. Optional wizard hats fit all of the poots!
All the proceeds from this are going right back to the artist so that we can make even more poot tomfoolery.
ShopShifty 3d nonsense
Bonus: If you have the limited run Feet Poot, they fit on this one like a terlet. A++
Demon Gnat Damon Gant head and prisoner bust sculpted by fellow old man yaoi connoisseur and Gankaru collaborator SpockoMyMan <3 (who I'd tag but I have no idea what his username actually is on tunglr lmao)
We both ended up sculpting Gant and Manfred heads around the same time, and he asked if I could print his version of Gant out so he could see it at 1/6th scale and check that the neck hole was wide enough. :3
Printed on my Bambu Lab P1S, with Bambu Matte Caramel, Bambu Silk+ White, and Ziro Matte Tricolor Indigo Space. :3
Ghaleon and Soldier Story body for scale:
Also this was my first multi-filament print, and I learned about all the ways I could optimize the filament usage AS the bust was printing LMAO
So look upon his poops and despair:
No regrets tho, it was an invaluable learning experience and he printed out PERFECTLY.
I need to, like, blog about my doll projects again. It's been awhile.
Sooooo, I got a 3d printerrrrrrr... 💅
It's a Bambu P1S with an AMS, and I love herrrrrrrrrr 💖💖💖💖💖
Haven't actually printed many doll specific things with it yet, but I've printed a couple friends for Ghaleon:
(Ziro's tricolor matte PLA is so cool. Vladislav cats both found on myminifactory, tho I did modify the smoother Vladislav to be printable without supports.)
And I've been sculpting heads in Blenderrrr.... 💅
Gant and Von Karma cuz I've been on a Gankaru bender for the past 5 months or something
And my own take on Ghaleon, though of course I could never retire the Obitsu Slim Male 01 head for him! I just require infinite Ghaleons, in lieu of him being a real live slutty elf man.
(Head and hair sculpted by me, body is a free mini I found on thingiverse and decapitated because Ghaleon wanted the dress.)
Gonna print him out after I've finally succeeded printing Butt Jars for @shiftythrifting , slowly ironing out problems with the 3rd party filament I chose... oh, I was gonna post pics here but I forgot mobile tumblr has that 10 photo limit. Imagine Beet Poot, but he's got a bad case of chin acne.
Anyway, that's what I've been up to lately!
Still wanna do a big doll parts destash at some point, tho it's even harder and more expensive than ever to mail stuff. =_= One of these days, tho.
Printed some spiked collars in Sirayatech Fast Tough Grey which is similar to the Sirayatech Fast/Tenacious mix that people suggest for making TTRPG minis with skinny details resist breaking. It's more flexible. So the collars can fit on like a choker without having to take the heads off (there's just a small gap in the back)
Made the simpler ones in TinkerCAD because I have a kind of stylized collar in some of my artwork.
The more complex one I got from here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/cyber-ooak-spiked-choker-for-monster-high-bjd
It's a nice model, but definitely more finicky to print those smaller rings. I snapped them in some of my test prints. >_<
I'm not sure if I am gonna paint the spiked collars like metal or something more abstract
Or maybe candy paint I bought way too much metallic and candy paint due to gunpla because it's so hard to tell how these colors look in person and every candy coat looks different with different metallic base coats Might make one more version with maximum length spikes but that is Later Kaxen's problem because it turns into like an 8 hour print lol
Czes's larger spikes took 5ever to print (like 7 or 8 hours). I didn't notice the automatic supports having an error so I had to do it twice because some of the spikes failed and I didn't notice until the entire print finished.
I'm pretty sure I am coloring them some variant of candy paint because hooboy I have so much candy paint and metallics sfjgsgfh
Also not sure if anyone wants some of the extra prints.
They will fit some 1/6 dolls.
Or be a very inadvisable ring for humans!!!
The Sirayatech Tough resin is flexible, but it's still pretty stabby. I stabbed myself once while sanding.
I love candy paint jobs even though I have to wear so much PPE because lacquer paints want to kill me
(Spike collars for some dolls)
made another troll, this time with extra moss. i managed to find some green fluffy yarn, and my partner gave me a piece of fuzzy knit fabric, and i put them to use immediately. the sticks and bark are, as usual, real. the staff & the troll's hand have magnets in them, so the staff stays on nicely and even supports the doll.
one day i will take one of my forest creatures out into the woods to photograph, but not today. too hot & sunny to even poke my nose outside. me and this creature share the desire to sleep under moss in a cool, shaded forest until the rest of the world also becomes a bit more cool & shaded.
i made. a video. you can watch it. for free.
the original design belongs to savannahalexandraart as i reiterate 1000x in the video so hopefully thats enough times
This is. half reindeer girl.
I think... I'm finally gonna try putting together random doll destash boxes this summer...
Need to double-check how expensive flat-rate boxes are to mail these days tho.
But yeah I gotta get these doll parts moved out, and I'm so close to being able to pay for a 3d printer... it would be a nice way to tick off both boxes at once.
Remember her?
ooooooo
Too $$$ for me for how many I'd want/need, but nice nonetheless, and JUST tall enough for playscale dolls.
AG and AG sized furniture I did not buy.
I got this little lattice-y wall candleholder some months back and have tried it in various places with no good success. I just now hung it here and immediately wanted to put my Emoto-Tronic Furby in it so bad.
I knew she would be too big to sit into the balcony part, but I'm doing it anyway. Cause I love how she suits the spot, it's just perfect.
what a trip eh
the EVOLUTION <3
every time you update your doll case i admire how fun and perfect it is, and then you always go and make it even COOLER <3
doll customizers will buy 3 dolls from the thrift store just to steal all their hands
do newer doll collectors know about the plastic wrap trick for getting dolls dressed?
I was redressing a doll without removable hands and thought about it. You put a little plastic wrap over a doll's hand so it'll slide through the sleeves without their fingers catching on the threads.
I use doll socks (and in fact have a dedicated pair of doll socks I keep with the hand knit doll cardigans.) I'll have to remember the plastic wrap when the socks are too bulky.
