āWe had protests five years ago. Ā The movement lasted 79 days, and it was quite peaceful compared to whatās happening now. Ā We occupied Central and closed all the roads. Ā Back then I felt so good. Ā I was sleeping in a tent on the street. Ā Weād never had such a large scale political movement in the history of Hong Kong, and I felt like a participant. Ā I felt so connected to everyone on the street. Ā We were fighting for a common goal. Ā It felt like we could change the future. Ā But eventually some of our leaders were arrested and the movement dispersed. Ā The next few years were painful for me. Ā There were no large scale protests. Ā Nothing. Ā I felt isolated. Ā Nobody seemed to care about democracy. Ā And now all these years later, weāre suddenly having another movement. Ā But Iāve changed. Ā I feel old. Ā I feel like my parents. Ā Whenever my phone notifies me of breaking news, I get nervous and worried. Ā I ask myself: āShould I go there now? Ā Immediately?ā Ā But at the same time, I donāt want to be arrested. Ā Itās not worth the risk. Ā Because itās all going to end in misery, anyway. Ā The path is set. Ā Our freedoms will narrow. Ā The government will not change. Ā The only rational decision is to leave. Ā But then I ask myself: āAm I being rational? Ā Or am I being a coward?āā (Hong Kong)
Japanese Sumo robots
this is the funniest gif iāve seen all week what the fuck is going on
the best part is this isnāt even HALF the relentless bullshit insanity that goes on in robot sumo wrestling, a sport where the contestants are all hyperfast robots with scoop attachments and preprogrammed moves.Ā
(this one wants to be a beyblade when it grows up)
the idea is to include as many unique moves as you can, to make your shrieking deathbot difficult to counter
or dodging. that works too.
also, some of the speed demons have⦠unorthodox attachments to fool other botās sensors
WIIINGS MOTHERFUCKERRRRRRR
robot sumo is also a sport where spectators may end up taking a small robot to the shins if they arenāt careful.
FLYYYYYYY
I hope you enjoyed our foray into madness!
IT GOT BETTER!!!
Yāall. Looking at professionally made sumo robots is great. You know whatās better though? Looking at extremely UNprofessionally made sumo robots.
Here enjoy.
oh my god please watch this video
āshe gave up looking for the robot and sent us a photo of her having a beer. the crowd applauded this act of supreme crappiness.ā
one robot is just a kleenex box with a bunch of dildos on it, one does nothing but shake a packet of instant soup, i love humanity so much right now
!!!
lads im goin into cardiac arrest
shoutout to the robot reacting to sound, transfixed at the cheering audience instead of its opponent

Simon: Did you know?
Emily: I knew you had a secret. But when you were little you were so carefree. But these last few years more and more itās almost like I can feel you holding your breath. I wanted to ask you about it, but I didnāt want to pry. Maybe I made a mistake.
Simon: No. No mom, you didnāt make a mistake.
Emily: Being gay is your thing. There are parts of it you have to go through alone. I hate that. As soon as you came out you said, āMom, Iām still me.ā I need you to hear this: You are still you, Simon. You are still the same son who I love to tease and who your father depends on for just about everything. And your the same brother who always compliments his sister on her food, even when it sucks. You get to exhale now, Simon. You get to be more you than you have been in, in a very long time. You deserve everything you want.
We know sheās just mad cause they have more melanin than sheās used to seeing
Lol I used to work at target and know for a fact that thatās literally one aisle sandwiched between several containing several an array of bland white dolls why would you fake a struggle like this?? Itās so flawed š©š
^^^^^^^
White girls are so pathetic
Andā¦thereās absolutely no reason she couldnātāve bought one of those for her cousin, anyway? (I mean, no reason beyond āthat cousin is probably being raised just like her and would do terrible things to the dollā)
i found this post on facebook this morning and went to My Generation to tally their dolls by skin color just to see how absolutely out of proportion the OP was blowing things. they have 106 dolls total on targetās website. 87 of these dolls are white. 46 of those white dolls are blonde. counting all their total dolls of color, you get 19 (and thatās being generous and tallying any exceptionally tan ones). only one of these dolls resembles someone east asian. so yeah, this lady only found 8 dolls (two of which are from seperate brands) and sheās still steamed when the brand she was looking at has 87 white dolls for her racist ass to choose from.
It got better!
āIām only 19ā¦ā
91% said NO redemption for you
As usual for this era, I am disgusted but not at all surprised.

I know the internet likes to make fun of Buzzfeed a lot, but come on, they do some good work.
āI love walking around the city. I catch the Metro North train at 11:40 every morning. I go to the same gym that Iāve been going to for forty years. Then I just start walking. If you take big strides it really stretches you out. And there are millions of other people walking around. You never feel alone. People smile at you. On weekends Iāll bring my granddaughters with me and weāll tour different neighborhoods. Weāve seen ten or twelve so far. Sometimes I get to borrow them for the whole afternoon. But theyāre at sleep away camp right now so Iām missing them a lot. And thatās about it. I do a little shopping at the thrift store. I stop and read the paper. I eat at outdoor restaurants. Itās simple but I found what makes me happy and Iām doing it. And when Iām heading home at night, sometimes I think: āI just had the best day of my life.āā
