a lot of people r saying “omg yes the new avatar remake has to be accurate to their ethnicities!” and then turning around and saying an asian person should play katara. no. there are already so so few roles for indigenous people in the media, we are not erasing katara and sokkas ethnicities. and this is in no way taking away any roles for asians!! there are significantly more main roles for asians in avatar than indigenous people. ie: the only main water tribe (indigenous) characters are sokka and katara (i cant really count yue bc she was only in like 3 episodes), while the other nations (asian) have 4x as many (aang, toph, suki, zuko, iroh azula, ty lee, mai etc). poc aren’t interchangeable

edit: just to clarify, I mean non-indigenous asians should not be cast as people from the water tribe. sorry for the confusion!

except he’s fucking superman so the bullets just fell off his chest into his lunch and clark just had to pretend nothing happened and hope lois wouldn’t notice that someone just fucking shot him

the hitman thinks maybe he just missed and gets ready to shoot him again, but then he’s watching through the scope as clark starts to eat the fucking bullets to hide the fucking evidence, acting like everything is totally normal as he noshes down on lead

i distinctly remembered the closeup on clark’s fucking teeth but misremembered it as being relevant to the story when it was actually just. there. the sniper didn’t notice and just thought his gun fucked up.

hi i'm sorry but your post about being the racist in your own life made me question something: are you not supposed to call a headscarf a hijab? are there other terms that would actually be correct but have been trampled over by white western people?

there are multiple uhh different kinds of headscarves and modesty coverings. usually people refer to all the kinds as “hijab” kinda like a catchall, but that’s incorrect.
