Pantlas Appreciation Week, Day 6: āØHappily Ever AfterāØ
Oh my goodness do I have thoughts. So first of all, I sincerely believe that Panto and Silas should become Francisās dads. I know heās technically like 60 but itās not like he had time to develop emotionally or socially, heās been in a coma inside a top secret government facility for about 50 of those 60 years. In Wendimoor heās a child again, and he can grow up properly there, but he absolutely needs parental love and guidance. So, who better to raise this child-god than the men whose love has literally ended a war? Panto and Silas have managed to bring stability to Wendimoor, and I firmly believe they would be amazing parents for this obviously troubled boy. Panto can teach him the ways of the scissor sword, how to be a proper gentleman to everyone he meets, the humble but rewarding life of a farmer, and how to dance, of course. Silas handles The Boyās academic and artistic studies, teaches him the intricacies of life in the royal court and what it means to rule over a land, and has him help tend to the messenger parrots to learn responsibility. Farson is overjoyed, heās finally not the baby of the family anymore, and he takes his new nephew out into the woods to explore and learn about the creatures and plants that Francis has created here, they go and visit Watki often and she teaches him how to utilize the pools so he can communicate with his friends in the old world. Litzibitz spoils the absolute shit out of Francis, she will get him pretty much literally anything he asks for. Wygar is not sure how to approach this small human but he can see that Silas and Farson love him so he vows to protect the child as if it were his own, just like he has with all the Dengdamors. Panto and Silas can often be found watching Francis from the windows of their newly combined throne room, as he plays out on the castle greens. There are three thrones, a pink silk one for Panto, a deep green velvet one for Silas, and in between them is the largest, a gold and red throne that is much too big for Francis right now, but Panto and Silas will glance at each other over it and share a smile because they know theyāre raising a magnificent king. With no war to fight, Wendimoor is entering a golden age of peace and prosperity, and the people adore the new blended royal family. There are public feasts, balls with beautiful and elaborate decorations, everything is as it should be and the only person who can find cause for unhappiness is locked away in the sky-train where no one can hear her venomous words and the moon glares at her whenever it catches her looking.
@pantlasappreciationweek this was a good prompt š
@pantlasappreciationweek Day #6: Happily Ever After
Six years of marriage later, and Panto and Silas are still as sappy as ever. Fortunately, little Bartine is still too young to be embarrassed by her parentsā soppy antics.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
I just published my 100th fic on ao3 which is a big deal wow!Ā
Itās a Panto X Silas soulmate au for @pantlasappreciationweek day 4 - AU. Sorry itās late, it got deleted when I was half way through and I had to restart
No, not him.
Panto almost dropped his sword as stared transfixed at the exposed skin of Silasā hand. His glove had fallen off during their duel (and he was being rather generous calling it that) but it wasnāt till Panto had disarmed and knocked Silas down onto the damp forest floor that he noticed the blossoming flower marking the back of his hand.
No, not a Dengamor.
Seeing anyoneās soulmate mark was rare - least of all his enemyās. Seeing anyoneās soulmark was often seen as an intimate experience. Usually such marks were hidden by the leather gloves that were in fashion for that exact reason. Silas was no exception and on the rare occasions that Panto saw him, he had never seen his mark. Expect from now, in the aftermath of their fight, Silas had lost his left glove, exposing his soulmark.
Panto could have used it to his advantage if it didnāt match his own.
day 6 of @pantlasappreciationweek: happily ever after ššššš

Day 6 - Happily Ever After
The boys getting their happily ever after is so beautiful! I will forever love this scene.
Pantlas Appreciation Week: Day 5- Angst
Iām not very good at writing angst for this ship, but here is what I have.
When Panto and Silas died, do you think they went to the Backstage of Reality?
Or were they just stuck in some sort of limbo, like the inactive part of Molochās mind?
when you want to be together but there's all this other stuff in the way, like a civil war
Day 5 - Angst
a short playlist for u all
@pantlasappreciationweek day 5: angst
I was thinking of doing the death scene but I couldnāt get myself to draw that, this isnāt as angsty but itās my take on pantlas angst. Panto is waiting for Silas at their usual time and place, but Silas is late. Panto grows worried that Silas could have gotten caught and it would be his fault and starts to panick because he canāt do anything about it, being in a secret relationship is always stressful and scary and it takes its toll on them
Pantlas Apperciation Week
Day 5 - AngstĀ
The death scene killed me too is the most painful thing to watch.
Ā I unfortunately had this spoiled for me long before I was able to watch the episode, and I remember the day I found out I bawled my eyes out despite barely knowing the characters yet. I was upset and angry that the gay couple die, ashamed that the infamous ābury your gaysā trope would be in my favourite show. I did not expect this at all and the day I found out was very painful for me. The week waiting for the finale I was so tense, but had slight hopeĀ that they could come back, knowing the genre was fantasy, and IMDB had Chris and Lee in ep 10 too but I thought it could be a flashback or something.Ā
Iāve done this post for āangstā because it is the death of two men we love, and for a week, or however long it was between when you watched episode 9 and 10, they were dead to us too, and we never really saw them be happy. Itās so painful because they finally just told their family that they were in love and their parents seemed willing to listen to what they were saying about preventing any more deaths.Ā
And it just gets worse that Panto is killed in front of Bart, so for her, her only real friend dies suddenly and then she has no one, leading to her going back to blackwing just to see Ken because hey, my old friend said he wonāt hurt me and I have no one else despite desperately not wanting to go back to blackwing. Plus she never finds out that Panto and Silas are alive.
Thankfully the boys get their happy ending but that will never make this scene any less painful.
Pantlas Week Day #5: Angst
@pantlasappreciationweek
Silas and Panto got their happy ending, but at a price.
Itās easy to forget, sometimes, when theyāre ruling side by side, watching over their kingdom, their children, sharing in this perfect world theyāve built together. Thereās no reason to be afraid now, they know this.
But that doesnāt stop Silas waking in a cold sweat when the sound of roaring, rattling gunfire echoes in his dreams. Doesnāt stop the panic, the shortness of breath when for a long, agonising moment he can feel every point of impact from those bullets- thereās not a scar to be found, but their placement is engraved in his memory.
When Pantoās hands find him, pull him in close and stroke his hair, he can feel it there, too. Cold, clammy, shaking. Itās strange, how often their nightmares seem to coincide. Or maybe not, considering how much theyāve shared- sometimes it feels like theyāre just two halves or a whole.
For Panto, itās more than a sound or a feeling- itās an image. An image of Silas, riddled with dark, angry wounds, collapsing to the ground. Of their hands, reaching out to one another, but never quite making it. Never quite finding each other. He travelled so far, saw so much, found his way back to his love and then, when all was nearly right with the worldā¦
As Silas is catching his breath, Panto is crying into his shoulder. And thereās little either of them can do beside just hold on tight, to each other, to warmth and safety, to what they have now. Sometimes it helps, to remind themselves of what they have.
Sometimes, though, it just reminds them what they had to lose.
Pantlas Appreciation Week, Day 5: ANGST
So, I had to think long and hard about this one. Iām really honestly more about the fluffy happy aspects of this relationship, but I do have plenty of angst to spare so I will give this a shot.
We know Silasās heart absolutely aches every moment Panto is away, so please imagine teenage Silas, newly in love, but having to keep that love a secret from his family because of their feud. He spends all his free time either locked up in his room or moping around the darkest, gloomiest parts of the castle he can find. He stares at the moon and cries a lot. He writes edgy poetry about being wrongfully separated from his love, maybe even a few songs. Eventually, tiny 10-year-old Farson has to take him aside and say āDude, wtf, you are acting SUPER weirdā and Silas (because he is the worst at keeping secrets in all of Wendimoor) immediately breaks down in tears and tells his baby brother everything. This is the moment when Farson first decides that the war with the Trosts is unfair, because it hurts his older brother. Meanwhile, on the Trost farms, Panto is equally mopey. Heās not trying in sword practice anymore, and heās been losing all of his sparring matches. While he would normally be super willing to do any task on the farm, lately heās been letting things go undone for days at a time, and Litzibitz is furious with him because sheās the one picking up all his slack. Heās grown his hair out and it covers his face almost all the time. He disappears alone, for hours at a time, into the forests and no one knows what heās doing out there. One day Litzibitz follows him and finds out that all this time heās just been sneaking off so he can have some time to himself to cry. Sheās immediately in big sister mode and they talk about whatās wrong, and she tells him about the prophecy for the first time in his life, about the man who can end the fighting so that Panto and Silas can be together. They make a sibling pact that one of them WILL find Dirk Gently someday, and do a special handshake to seal the deal.
This maybe wasnāt as angsty as it couldāve been but I tried š¬

@pantlasappreciationweek day five: angst ā³ for fear of that, i still will stay with thee, and never from this palace of dim night depart again. here, here will i remain with worms that are thy chamber maids. oh, here will I set up my everlasting rest, and shake the yoke of inauspicious stars from this world-wearied flesh. eyes, look your last. arms, take your last embrace. and, lips, o you the doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss a dateless bargain to engrossing death.
Day 4 - AUs
This is absolutely straight-up the most ridiculous AU Iāve ever posted about, butĀ
so thereās a webcomic most of you have probably heard of called Check, Please!Ā about a young man named EricĀ āBittyā Bittle who runs a vlog about his life and about baking, is about 5ā²6ā³, is gay, and is on a very good college hockey team. He falls in love with the tall, brooding Jack Zimmermann, who has ice-blue eyes and is very, very good at hockey.Ā
Iāve been playing with a Silas/Panto AU for this comic forever. Yes, an AU where theyāre on a college hockey team together. Silas is sweet and warm-hearted and a little finicky and on the short side for a college hockey player, and Panto is maybe the best hockey player in Wendimoor heās ever met, tall and intense and brusque and disgraced, and THEY FALL IN LOVE and itās GREAT.Ā
I wish I had a ficlet ready, but I donāt. Someone else can write this if they want to!Ā
Day 4 - AUsĀ
Thereās an old movie calledĀ āThe Shop Around the Cornerā that was remade in the 1990s asĀ āYouāve Got Mailā. The basic plot: Two people who loathe each other donāt realize that the anonymous pen pal they have who theyāre falling in love with is the person they hate.Ā
I think it would be just beautiful (and Iām thinking about writing it, but as any idea I toss around on this blog, anyoneās welcome to it) to have Silas and Panto as two people who hate each other on principle based on their families who accidentally fall in love through whatever the Wendimoorian version of anonymous pen pals may be.
Just a little sneak peak of my modern instagram bakery AU for Pantlas Appreciation Week :)Ā
@pantlasappreciationweek day 4: AUs!!!!
Rival bands AUĀ
Panto is the drummer of the Trosts and Silas is the keyboard player and backup vocalist of the Dengdamors. Their parents (and managers) hate each other, but Silas and Panto just want to make good music and be in love.
