i think so much about that quote âa child weaned on poison considers harm a comfortâ by Gillian Flynn because thats basically female socialization in a nutshell. Weâre taught to hate ourselves and our bodies so self destruction looks pleasant and romantic.

Everyone is different. What works for one person might not work for you or someone you know.Â
âShe knew the power of her mind so she programmed it for success.â

but she said, âyou cannot be my other half. because I am whole, and I will never break for love again.â

âThe saddest end to a relationship is one where you have to break up with somebody when youâre still in love with them. It sounds bizarre but it happens, because the truth is, as powerfull and as thrilling as it may be, being in love doesnât always mean youâre happy. You can continue to love someone even after theyâve hurt you, but you know deep inside that it wonât ever be the same again.â
ââI had the fairy tale, but I walked away from it,â I say hoarsely. âWhy the hell do I deserve another shot at happiness?â âBecause that wasnât the right fairy tale for you. You say you were the villain in that story. And I say you were in the wrong story. Stop thinking of yourself as the big bad. Stop punishing yourself for not knowing better then, and start celebrating the fact that you know better now. Take that knowledge and live the life you risked your soul for.â
