like corbyn hasn’t exactly shown himself to be the people’s champion and who the fuck knows what the lib dems are doing

ANYONE BUT THE TORIES is a valid stance and tactical voting is your friend.

Here is a great spread sheet showing every constituency with reccomendations on how to vote to keep the Tories out of as many seats as possible. Every seat they don’t win this time around counts, basically. At this stage realistically it’s not about getting Theresa May out, it’s about reducing the absolutely terrifying prospect of her with a 140-strong majority in Parliament.

Disclaimer: I’m not exactly Corbyns no.1 fan but for the next six weeks that has to come second to the election.

Important info: some of the spreadsheets for tactical voting that are being circulated are partially inaccurate or out of date - a lot of constituencies changed hands in the last election, so use them as a guideline but make sure to double-check the 2015 results of your contituency as well (Wikipedia is rly good for this and has easy-to-understand articles for every constituency).

Theresa May has announced there will be a snap election, a GENERAL ELECTION, on June 8th of this year, 2017.

This is not a lot of time for any of us to get our actions into order, whilst you may already know on an instant reaction who you will vote for in June, some people may be not ready or decided in such a short amount of time. Therefore you should be considering to help educate yourselves and the people around you in order to make a decision that benefits all of us in the best way.

Don’t forget that Irish and Commonwealth citizens can also vote in UK general elections!

That means if you live in the UK and you’re from Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, or any of the other Commonwealth countries on this list, you are eligible to vote in this election. (EU citizens are not eligible.)

It is super easy to register to vote online – I just re-registered last month after moving house. If you’re not sure whether you’re registered, you can go through the online registration form just to be sure! There’s no harm in re-submitting your details to the Electoral Commission.

Although note that you cannot register to vote in Northern Ireland online – if you live in Northern Ireland you can download a registration form here.
