Just a thought at 1am after watching episode 3. A dumb scene I want to see happen. 'cause it makes me chuckle.

Since I don’t have many big projects this year (just a little bit for SW Celebration in a few weeks) I decided I was finally going to get to the alterations and fixings I wanted to do on a bunch of clothes and what have yous.

First project is my fun Disney princess print dress I made like in 2015. It was already almost too small on me when I made it - wore it once and then it really wasn’t going to happen again - so it needed a bit of work. Originally it was the sleeveless version of #Simplicity 1755, so for the altering I decided to add the sleeves in the swiss dot fabric I had accented it with. I added a little bit of fabric to the side, the bust area and back to make it cover more, and also added a built in belt in case I didn’t want to wear the actual belt.

I wore it at the beginning of February during a short WDW trip, specially to Epcot during the Festival of the Arts and thankfully it fit really well.

Next up is my Disney Dress Shop Tiki dress (which has actually already been altered but will be posted later, haha)

One of my bffs is going on a (hopefully not too cold and rainy) Star Trek cruise this weekend. So, so she can tote around a few essentials on the ship, I made her a bag in the shape of Badgey from Lower Decks.

Was a nice challenge to get the shape to work out and his spindly appendages.

(Will this appear in my shop? Will I ever open it again? xD Who knows!)

Many many many moons ago, my sister got me the Disney Dress Shop Tiki room dress. I always loved it but it sat a bit weird on me and also was generally - like so many of these dresses - was super long.

So aside from shortening the length, I added a too band to the top to allow the bust area to fit better (using the bits of what I cut off from the bottom, hurray!). I also shorted then midsection and readjusted the straps (which I might end up changing again later xD).

I also decided to make a matching cardigan because why not! Both knit fabrics from JoAnn and using #Simplicity 8951. And since I had, still a little more of the Tiki fabric, I was able to also make a headband.

#medalmonday, a week late (because I felt blah when I got home xD) and this time featuring Dollop! (I couldn’t find Confetti at the time). She lasted all of ten seconds before she realized she didn’t like it. Only two of the four runs done but that’s okay! We’ll try again some other time - not next year, no, putting my foot down. Day two complete ~ Mr Toad, Mr Water Rat and Mr Mole got through the 10k and got the deed to Toad Manor back but not without some trouble along the way. Sadly, this seems to be the end of our Dopey 2023 journey. At least for me, as my cough/cold progressed to the point I needed to go to urgent care to get meds. My two cohorts could probably keep going, though Stev seems to also troubled by his cough and Karolyne doesn’t want to go go it alone (very understandably). Annoying that forces seem to be against us for this weekend’s runs. Thought I’d go all simple on the droid tree this year since I’m leaving close to New Years to go do Dopey (ohgodwhy)…..

…. When I decided all the droids near the tree needed santa hats. So I made them all hats….

Happy Halloween! Finally finished something I’ve wanted to make for a little while ~ Lydia Deetz’s poncho from the the Beetlejuice cartoon, but as a cape.

I attempted to make it all last year and thought I could do it in like a day or two. I couldn’t. So finished it this year ~ in a day or two.

In 2019 I actually started on this comic book version of Leia (after seeing a few other cosplayers make it. Cause it’s neat!) I didn’t finish it then and added more to my Bespin Leia running costume instead. This year I intended to make a more legit version of Bespin Leia but knew I didn’t have time to do it so finished this one! (full circle? Haha)

So I actually made my sister the classic look like 9 years ago? I thought it was way too heavy so this year I decided to take out the lining to make it more comfortable. Thankfully it worked and the fabric was thick enough to not be totally see through ~

I think this is like the 4th time I’ve made a Leia belt? I hope the glue doesn’t ruin these like it’s ruined the last few xD And thanks to Stev for 3D printing the doodads for me :) oh! And I managed to alter boots to fit my annoyingly wide calves, haazaaa (on $15 boots, more haazaaa)
