I’ve been debating back and forth between responding to this, but I will.

I know I said I’d be starting them next and that I was excited to work on them, but I had things happen in my personal life that have thrown me off kilter. I have been working on them, I have two done, a third in the works. They are being worked on, just a lot slower than I would’ve liked. Again, stuff came up in my personal life making it hard for me to have the time and energy to draw in general. I’m not going to make any promises as to when they’ll be done, but they are being worked on.

This is a late response, you sent this days ago, but I don’t have one. I have not worked out all of the details differentiating and I don’t have any proper notes to share about them. I have been discussing the differences with friends on Discord, but much of the recent talk has been tied to a crossover I’ve been writing, so I don’t think it would be wise or proper to share what I’ve said.

Hopefully in the near future, I will be making a post about them, but as it stands right now, I do not have one.

I hate this stupid horse. And I say this as someone who loves horses and MLP. But Elas pisses me off. I want to get rid of him so bad, but I also don’t want to start making things unrecognizable. If that makes sense. I want to deviate, but I don’t want to deviate too hard.

Thinking about retouching Daphne to make her motif a heart(at least as Fairy of the Dragon’s Flame, not as Fairy of Divination) as I work through the lore for the Great Dragon and the Nymphs of the Dragon’s Flame.

I definitely want to post about them both soon, especially the lore about the Dragon as I alluded to it in my Fiorire post. But I’m not sure if I want to do it after I finish the all of the Winx’s redesigns? I still have four transformations left, but I do want to finish them before the new semester, which starts in mid-August.

Eh, we’ll see what happens in the next few months.

With Acheron unleashed upon the world once more, the Winx are in search of a way of a way to defeat him once again. The answer comes in the form of the ancient keys entrusted to Eldora, a magical historian.

Informally dubbed “Mythix” by the group, the form is the result of the keys bonding to their hearts and allowing them to use the magic sealed within them. The form itself mirrors the forms of the respective keys holder, yet due to the ancient nature of the magic and original forms, they became tied to each mage’s Enchantix and their shape was influenced by such.

Much to the group’s displeasure, the keys chose their new holder without considering for the group’s own magic. When they attempted to swap, the keys refused to respond to anyone but who they chose.

Bloom received Sadako’s key. Bloom had her concerns about it, due to who it had ties to. She already has a large target on her back, having the key of Icy’s ancestor surely only made it bigger. Yet, Bloom’s connection to Icy and Belladonna is why it’s tied to her. Both had their lives stolen in some regard by Belladonna, and Sadako’s soul holds a rage towards Icy that she plans to use Bloom to settle.

Stella received Upendo’s, and is one of the few who quickly handle the new magic. Fire magic isn’t that different from light, making it easy to grasp. Upendo’s key chose Stella due to their similar stance on their public image versus their duties. As important as their image as nobility is, their duties to their people as guardian fairies matter more. Stella refuses to take a backseat when her home is in danger, just as Upendo once did.

Flora received Euphoria’s key. Healing magic isn’t a new territory to her, but the extent to which Euphoria’s magic is centered around it is. Euphoria’s key chose her because of Flora's caring nature and her lack of desire for the spotlight. While Euphoria had some bitter feelings towards Domino’s refusal to acknowledge her feats in the fight against Acheron, she did not crave the attention or proper title as “Nymph”. Flora is similar in that regard, not wanting the popularity of being a Winx. Not to say she doesn’t enjoy the recognition, but she doesn’t do what she does for the attention.

Musa received Héliöse’s. It was particularly influenced by Héliöse’s pity, as Musa grew up poor, but was primarily influenced by Héliöse seeing a part of herself in Musa in the latter’s strive for self expression. Héliöse grew up in an age of Eraklyon’s history where magic was not widely practiced and she was often met with backlash when she began to learn. Many had concerns when she joined the fight against Acheron, her own mother insisting she shouldn’t as their own community was struggling to rebuild after his attacks. But for her, the safety of others meant more than her own. Tecna received Yurak’s, something she had more trouble wielding than she expected. The nature of Yurak’s magic relies on emotions more than Tecna’s used to, she was someone who was rather expressive and would feel certain emotions stronger than others. That alone made it confusing as to why Tecna received hers, but Yurak was very familiar with the social isolation Tecna experienced. Much like how Tecna was seen as a robot, Yurak was seen as a spirit more than anything. Both were seen as something unhuman by their communities, which made it hard to connect to those around them. Both were seen for who they truly are by their close friends and found community there.

Aisha received Pherenike’s. Both sought freedom from a life that left them caged, from engagements they had no say in. Pherenike fought for the freedom to make her own choices, to live a life she chose, rather than a life that would make her family rich. While Pherenike’s form of freedom was becoming a priestess, she still carries admiration for Aisha’s choices and the fact she got her parents to listen to her.

Roxy received Rong’s. While Roxy is more partial to animals than people, she’s still someone who puts a lot of care and effort into what she cares about. Even creepy looking insects are something she makes sure are taken care of. Like how Rong used to care for the people of her town, Roxy makes sure to help the wildlife of Gardenia and makes sure they can thrive.

Helia received Edeltraud’s. Edeltraud was someone headstrong and rather unskilled with magic, but after facing the loss of her comrades to Acheron, she cast her reservations to the side and started training her magic to get back at him. Helia is someone who’s more collected and while she is a skilled fighter, she’s a pacifist. She prefers to be on the defensive side, rather than the offensive, if she does have to fight. But, with the new threat Acheron’s presence now poses, she’s willing to aid in the fight against him. They’re opposite sides of the same coin, people forced out of their normal roles to fight against Acheron.

Nabu received Vaesna’s. Vaesna herself was a magical protege, much like Nabu. Though, Nabu is an outlier when it came to why he received a specific key. Vaesna’s magic is tied to her key and the Legendarium, something Nabu’s magic is more capable of handling and his magic’s properties are more similar to hers. Whoever wields her key will be the one to ultimately repair the lock and seal Acheron away. The key chose him because it believes he’ll be the most capable of mending the lock.

The Nine Nymphs of Magix

The Nine Nymphs of Magix are the nine fairies who saved the dimension from Acheron and sealed him away in the Legendarium. Each hailed from a different corner of the dimension and came together to save their homes from him. Many view them as “Psuedo Nymphs” as none had ever achieved the official title of “Nymph” during their lives, yet share a nymph-like appearance. Either way, though, they are still highly regarded by the people of Magix. Art and stories of them are still shared thousands of years after their death.

Veasna, Fairy of Reality

A citizen from the planet Ohm, specifically a resident of the capital city. She created the Legendarium, originally a record of past mythos and fantastical beings, but turned it into a pocket dimension to seal Acheron. Her magic allows her alter one’s perception of time and space, but creating an entire reality of her own to seal him caused her to drain all of her strength. As a result, it breathed life into the rest of the book’s entries. After it was discovered that it could summon anything and anyone from the entries, the book was entrusted to the Earth Fairies to keep far away from the rest of the Dimension.

Rong, Fairy of Gold

An artisan from the planet Melody, the city of Shanxiang. She forged things like jewelry to weaponry, often with her bare hands. She had a resistance to high heats due to the nature of her magic and would perform odd jobs for those in her hometown without question. Her magic made her adored and sought after in her kingdom, but her wealth and magic were to be kept within her hometown. After her death, her hometown flourished and became home to the Golden Auditorium.

Sadako, Fairy of the Winter Moon

An outsider from the northern pole of Dymond, unclaimed land of any kingdom and forsaken by the entire dimension as the birthplace of the witch Belladonna. Sadako herself is a descendant of her and worked to support her family. She wanted nothing more than to bring her family out of the shame her ancestor cast them into. Even after the defeat of Acheron and her magic was sealed away, she still chose to fight, defending her family when Belladonna returned to punish her.

Upendo, Fairy of Magma

A noblewoman from the planet of Hoggar, from the kingdom of Nyambe. A calm, yet proud woman. Her notoriety came from her controlling and redirecting the flow of lava after a volcanic eruption. She was the first to become an official guardian fairy in her kingdom. Many saw her as abandoning her kingdom in a time of chaos, when joining the fight against Acheron. In the end, she was exiled from the entire planet of Hoggar, but was given residence on Domino.

Edeltraud, Fairy of Glass

Originally from Zenith, but long before their current technical age. Rather, the planet was still called Vergolt. A planet best known for its precious metals. She was originally a soldier, often training new recruits. She was better skilled with a sword than magic, but was not afraid to back down from any fight. She was the first of the nine to face Acheron, losing most of her comrades in a fight against him when they attacked her hometown. After the final fight, she was considered a war hero, with many cities creating stained glass murals in her memory.

Pherenike, Fairy of Auroras

She was a citizen of Selenos, originally practicing to become a priestess of Effimene, but betrothed to a man in Avgistis. Discontent with the arrangement and the similar fate of other girls, she was the guiding light for many. She granted them freedom and protection, letting them choose fates of their own. In the modern day, she’s respected as a patron of women and hand of Effimene.

Euphoria, Fairy of Medicine

An apothecary from Semprerno, on Domino. She was the primary healer of the growing kingdom, cultivating roots and herbs that wouldn’t normally be able to survive their frigid climate. She taught several young mages. Many healers now follow her practices throughout the planet and several planets have picked up her techniques to grow plants that their landscapes wouldn’t normally allow. Following the fight, she and Upendo lived together in Domino, where Euphoria ran a hospital for all.

Héliöse, Fairy of Abundance

A fairy from Eraklyon. The savior of the kingdom when it fell to famine. She ensured the people would have enough crops to last them the year and taught them methods of preservation. She revitalized the land and taught the people how to keep disease away from their crops and livestock. She made the people flourish, allowing them to care for themselves and one another. Smaller towns often start communal farms in her honor, carrying on her will and helping people through hard times.

Yuraq, Fairy of Lullabies

Someone with little known information. Every kingdom claims her, though some people claim she was a spirit sent by the Luminous dragon to watch over the people and ward off nightmares. In truth, she was from the kingdom of Marigold and slept during the day, while teaching magic at night. She struggled to be around people, making her rather avoidant. When she would show herself, she taught people how to use their voice to summon magic and what plants had magic to dispel the negative magic that would cause night terrors.

The Nine Nymphs of Magix

The final fight took place on Magix. Vaesna led it and was the one to end it. She created the Legendarium and Rong created the keys to seal it. The keys themselves were made of different metals that resonated with each mages’ magic. Through a spell Rong crafted, they imbued each key with their own magic. Though, in turn, it meant their magic was no longer a part of them. Due to the nature of their creation and their purpose, some historians dubbed their forms “Yaoshix” in Rong’s honor. Some have dubbed it Asparix in honor of Vaesna and due to their nymph-like appearance. Though, no official name exists for it, due to the short lived appearance of the form. Unfortunately, all details of how to obtain in were lost after Rong’s passing, leaving others unable to replicate the form.

I hope them being sketches isn’t a big issue. Lots of stuff going on in my life rn, so I’m a bit busy and lacking energy. Maybe I’ll come back to them at a later date and finalize their appearances.

Winx will be out sometime soon. Either this afternoon or tomorrow, depending on how my illness treats, considering him still sick.
