Returning

In Fresno, flight delayed 30 min and counting. Previous flight left in limbo for 3 hours before cancelled. Trying to cram more people on overbooked flight, plus issuing new passes and seats at the gate door. Fuck this. It might be simpler to get my father to DRIVE to Sky Harbor and get me, because I'm going to miss my connecting flight home at this rate. Ugh. FML

Takeoff

Ugh. Have to get up at 4 to catch my flight to Reno. Well, okay, my flight to Phoenix and then my flight to Reno. Ugh ugh ugh, early mornings. At least I'll have my phone with me, so Tumblr is still possible.

Irrational Games is no more. I don't have the words to describe how gutted I feel. So I'll just let someone else speak for me:

Panic in India is at 5 bars. Council meeting’s in about 14 days. Not enough energy or funds to build an uplink to calm panic via satellite launch. Things looking grim.

Things got worse. The Council sent along the Site Recon mission (aka Chryssalid Hell). I really need the...

Unfortunately, I got the mission in early game. Like, "barely researched Carapace Armor" early. It... didn't end well. (And by that, I mean it was a Code Black/total squad wipe). Scrapped the play through after the next mission wound up with an Outsider killing the last remaining non-Rookie soldier I had left. That's what I get for jumping in on Classic right off the bat, I guess.

Sara, I trusted you. Oh sure, waaay the eff back in Season 1, I gave you all the side-eye for treating me suspiciously (and pointing a gun in my direction, I didn't forget about that) but my God, you were my best friend by the end of that season. You led the zombies away from me when Abel got blown sky high. You saved my life.

Only now... now you've put me in the hands of Van Ark. Van Ark. And because of you, everyone in Abel is now in real, serious danger. Ed. Molly. Rajit. Janine. Maxine. Jody. Simon. Eugene. Jack.

And Sam. Sam, who never did you  any harm. Sam, who kept the Runners safe. Who kept Runner 5 safe during that long night alone in the dark. And you'd kill him.

He mourned you, and you would see him dead.

You'd condemn us all to death.

If the final mission of Season 2 doesn't end with Runner 5 killing Sara Smith and Van Ark with nothing but bare hands, I will be sorely fucking disappointed.
