the idea that your friends won't like you if you're too weird is wrong for example one time I told a friend whenever I was losing my mind I laid down on the floor under my desk and stared at it until I was better and next time she visited me she taped a bag of salami snacks to the underside of my desk with a message saying "going insane all by yourself, handsome?" which I only saw months later when I had a breakdown. that's friendship.
My special talents include: jumping to the worst conclusion possible and worrying about that thing for hours.
I feel really sorry for goths who donāt live anywhere with an actual, in-person goth scene because that means all they get of other goths is Internet people being stupid. No one at in-person events is debating the precise definition of goth, quizzing you to see how many bands youāve heard of, or calling you a poser for wearing a Tom Waits shirt instead of a Bauhaus shirt. Thatās Internet nonsense right there. People just assume that, if youāre at a show, you probably like at least one of the bands performing and, even if you havenāt heard of any of them, youāre curious enough to support them, coming out to support little bands is good! And Iāve yet to come across a band say to someone, āsorry, you donāt like these specific bands or werenāt in the scene for more than x years, so Iām not going to let you buy any of my merch.ā Most of them are happy to have the support, no matter how involved you are. Another plus: because most shows have smaller, newer bands and most DJ nights play newer bands as well (well, depends on the DJ and usually itās a mix, but I digress), you wonāt run into people who think that bands who started after 1985 donāt count.
goth is when you put lip stuff on your eyes and eye stuff on your lips and leg things on your arms
How old are you tho?
men who communicate in a healthy way, who don't use mind games to get your attention. who don't actively choose to make you feel bad in order to commit to them. who don't use toxic behavior or manipulation. men who choose to feed their soul, not their ego. men who don't drain your energy but help you grow and heal. men worthy of your love and time.

No no you don't understand! I want to watch this show/movie, read this book, listen to this podcast, etc.! But I must be in the right mindset and the exact head space to begin, or I just can't!
