I know Jellypaws, casualsims, leosims and sonyasims use AI for their previews/cc or wtv but I know there’s more people I just don’t know who. Does anyone have a list?
Okay, so I gathered some who either use AI for their previews/meshes. Also please note that this is just a list that I was making for myself so I could avoid these creators. I did not intend for this to be seen as a call out post, bc that was not my intention. If it were a callout post then I would @ these people. This list is only to inform you guys on who to avoid/be wary of!!
Jellypaws - AI previews and meshes
Casualsims - AI previews. Meshes idk
Sonyasims - AI previews. Meshes idk
Pixelvibes - AI previews and meshes
ddarkstonee - AI previews and meshes
Dustyrat - They used to use it for their previews, but no longer do. Mesh no ai usage there ❌
pastelpaws/xxxtigger/pasteltigger - uses AI for previews last I checked
ironvolt545 - I am going to assume their meshes use AI or they use AI to “help” them “create”
sims3melancholic - has used AI for those “highly realistic” skins they have recently made. They cut/used pieces from the ai image to make the skin with it ‼️
Cowbuild - AI previews and meshes
Leosims - AI previews. Meshes are directly from gumroad/other 3D model sites.
AggressiveKitty/Cluttercat (same person) - They use AI for their Meshes along with the artwork/picture cc they make.
Rubyred/casa dutti (same person) - AI previews. Mesh idk
Sims4life - AI previews. Mesh idk. They could be using AI to generate pictures for their paintings/artwork cc or downloading AI images off Pinterest!!
Daonworks - AI previews unknown. Meshes are AI
Syboulette - They used to use AI textures in the past but they no longer use it !!
Swimwearsprada - AI previews idk. Meshes are AI. You can read more HERE
Scodee Yodee - AI previews idk. Meshes are AI (older stuff is fine, only their newer stuff uses it) They have however stolen (never credited anyone) Cities: Skylines Steam Workshop assets from creators like Darf, Prosper, Boldly Building, Macwelshman, Modocero, and many others, but with pulled vertices and clipping textures, and without proper alpha transparency.
dumbburgergirl - uses Al for that bubble font in their previews. Could also be using AI for some of the furniture they make
Roxxysim - AI previews. Meshes idk
creamlattedream - AI previews no usage there ❌ Uses AI generated textures for meshes
Skinfolk - Just look at their patreon. It’s quite obvious they use AI….LMAO I would also like to say that LifeLike-Simz and Skinfolk are most definitely the same person !!
Plumbelle - suspicious “new creator” using the words “NOT AI” they have since deleted the post and changed it to where it does not say the words “NOT AI”This person is suspected to be Pixelvibes
s-club - AI previews (on newer cc) Mesh idk.
robertaplobo - still unsure if they use AI for their previews, but just to be safe I’ll put them on here!
jomsims - has used AI photos as swatches. Mesh idk.
mychqqq - AI previews (on newer cc). Mesh idk
abbypiggg - They use AI for their cc paintings/artwork
fatalrosecfeations - this person doesn’t seem to be active, but they have said HERE that they have used AI textures/images for their cc
Harrie - They have admitted to using AI for their artworks/painting cc. Meshes idk.
Snotra.92 - AI previews and Meshes
Schnuddl.CC - AI previews. Mesh idk
Felixandre - uses AI for their cc paintings/artwork
MalinDesigns - started using AI for their build previews
mhm if I have anything wrong or needs to be corrected please do let me know!!! I don’t want to be spreading misinformation 😭🙏
Edit: Forgot to mention that if anyone has more names let me know so that I can put them here!! Edit: Can you let me know if it’s previews or meshes or both that use AI? Please and thank you !! Edit: If you have any evidence/link to a post where the creator has admitted to using AI please link it in the comments or send me a DM, thank you!!!
i started playing the sims 4 again about 3 months ago maybe after not playing since cottage living came out
i’m. already. bored.
they added so many pop ups on the screen that it’s just way too overwhelming, there’s still glitches that i remember experiencing years ago, gallery still runs like shit, sims are a lot fucking dumber than i remember, and to have any fun at all you need to have a trillion mods, YOUR GAME SHOULD NOT BE LIKE THAT EA.
i used to think the sims 4 was only good for its build/buy and create a sim, but after playing paralives for only 47 hours so far, i’m once again, done with the sims 4 and hopefully won’t be touching it ever again.
Not surprised there is already paid cc for Paralives out and about, but I am disappointed. It's an indie game with a dev team that is committed to no paid DLC, so it just feels... extra gross.
That said, I hope people realize the culture around cc for The Sims isn't normal and vote with their wallets and attention instead. Reward (and tip!) creators that do things for the love of the game, hobby, and community. -- And ignore those out for profit.
I hope the Paralives Community becomes chronically unprofitable for them.
this is a revamp of asphodel moon's occult legacy challenge to be more compatiable for the sims 3.

After leaving home for the first time, you find yourself living on the outskirts of a desert town. You’re not there for very long before you start to notice strange things flying through the skies and the locals seem to act as if nothing is out of the ordinary especially the odd green ones. Hi all, this is my first Sims 3 legacy challenge I've made myself, it is a result of my boredom on a Saturday evening but it was a lot of fun, so I'll throw this at you ☺
This elemental legacy challenge is for The Sims 3 and spans 9 Generations. It is inspired by the Chinese Zodaic Elements and also inspiration from my favourite JRPG's which utlise a lot of elemental themed magic. It has guided ideas and generational requirements with story themes throughout. Feel free to tag me if you have a go at this ✨
Rules:
I have listed the intended requirements for each generation, move on to the next generation once the requirements are complete or the next heir becomes a young adult
I have listed some guidance on careers, lifetime wishes and traits. I recommend taking 2-3 of the traits listed but they aren't mandatory
You can use money cheats if you wish, I've tried to write the generational order to put you in the desired financial spot for storytelling, but please just have fun with it
Please do alter and play this how you wish & how your stories pan out, the guidance is just there for ideas and isn't meant to limit you

Generation 8 - Air
Child of air, your life so far has been turbulent and chaotic. Your parents death has scarred you and you have floated through life lost. You try to travel on the right path for your late parent, but you can't help but feel there is more to life than what meets the eye. There are sounds at night that wake you, unexplained foresight into future events and a pull to the paranormal. Your parents advocated for you to question the world, and question you did! You excelled in your studies and took a particular interest in space. Is it true you become a star if you die?
Have you seen this post about using DXVK by Criisolate? But felt intimidated by the sheer mass of facts and information?
@desiree-uk and I compiled a guide and the configuration file to make your life easier. It focuses on players not using the EA App, but it might work for those just the same. It’s definitely worth a try.
Adding this to your game installation will result in a better RAM usage. So your game is less likely to give you Error 12 or crash due to RAM issues. It does NOT give a huge performance boost, but more stability and allows for higher graphics settings in game.
The full guide behind the cut. Let me know if you also would like it as PDF.
Happy simming!
Disclaimer and Credits
Desiree and I are no tech experts and just wrote down how we did this. Our ability to help if you run into trouble is limited. So use at your own risk and back up your files!
We both are on Windows 10 and start the game via TS3W.exe, not the EA App. So your experience may differ.
This guide is based on our own experiments and of course criisolate’s post on tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/criisolate/749374223346286592/ill-explain-what-i-did-below-before-making-any
This guide is brought to you by Desiree-UK and Norn.
Compatibility
Note: This will conflict with other programs that “inject” functionality into your game so they may stop working. Notably
Reshade
GShade
Nvidia Experience/Nvidia Inspector/Nvidia Shaders
RivaTuner Statistics Server
It does work seamlessly with LazyDuchess’ Smooth Patch.
LazyDuchess’ Launcher: unknown
Alder Lake patch: does conflict. One user got it working by starting the game by launching TS3.exe (also with admin rights) instead of TS3W.exe. This seemed to create the cache file for DXVK. After that, the game could be started from TS3W.exe again. That might not work for everyone though.
A word on FPS and V-Sync
With such an old game it’s crucial to cap framerate (FPS). This is done in the DXVK.conf file. Same with V-Sync.
You need
a text editor (easiest to use is Windows Notepad)
to download DXVK, version 2.3.1 from here: https://github.com/doitsujin/DXVK/releases/tag/v2.3.1
Extract the archive, you are going to need the file d3d9.dll from the x32 folder
the configuration file DXVK.conf from here: https://github.com/doitsujin/DXVK/blob/master/DXVK.conf.
Optional: download the edited version with the required changes here.
administrator rights on your PC
to know your game’s installation path (bin folder) and where to find the user folder
a tiny bit of patience :)
First Step: Backup
Backup your original Bin folder in your Sims 3 installation path! The DXVK file may overwrite some files! The path should be something like this (for retail): \Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin (This is the folder where also GraphicsRule.sgr and the TS3W.exe and TS3.exe are located.)
Backup your options.ini in your game’s user folder! Making the game use the DXVK file will count as a change in GPU driver, so the options.ini will reset once you start your game after installation. The path should be something like this: \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 (This is the folder where your Mods folder is located).
Preparations
Make sure you run the game as administrator. You can check that by right-clicking on the icon that starts your game. Go to Properties > Advanced and check the box “Run as administrator”.
Note: This will result in a prompt each time you start your game, if you want to allow this application to make modifications to your system. Click “Yes” and the game will load.
2. Make sure you have the DEP settings from Windows applied to your game.
Open the Windows Control Panel.
Click System and Security > System > Advanced System Settings.
On the Advanced tab, next to the Performance heading, click Settings.
Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
Select 'Turn on DEP for all programs and services except these”:
Click the Add button, a window to the file explorer opens. Navigate to your Sims 3 installation folder (the bin folder once again) and add TS3W.exe and TS3.exe.
Click OK. Then you can close all those dialog windows again.
Setting up the DXVK.conf file
Open the file with a text editor and delete everything in it. Then add these values:
d3d9.textureMemory = 1
d3d9.presentInterval = 1
d3d9.maxFrameRate = 60
d3d9.presentInterval enables V-Sync,d3d9.maxFrameRate sets the FrameRate. You can edit those values, but never change the first line (d3d9.textureMemory)!
The original DXVK.conf contains many more options in case you would like to add more settings.
A. no Reshade/GShade
Setting up DXVK
Copy the two files d3d9.dll and DXVK.conf into the Bin folder in your Sims 3 installation path. This is the folder where also GraphicsRule.sgr and the TS3W.exe and TS3.exe are located. If you are prompted to overwrite files, please choose yes (you DID backup your folder, right?)
And that’s basically all that is required to install.
Start your game now and let it run for a short while. Click around, open Buy mode or CAS, move the camera.
Now quit without saving. Once the game is closed fully, open your bin folder again and double check if a file “TS3W.DXVK-cache” was generated. If so – congrats! All done!
Things to note
Heads up, the game options will reset! So it will give you a “vanilla” start screen and options.
Don’t worry if the game seems to be frozen during loading. It may take a few minutes longer to load but it will load eventually.
The TS3W.DXVK-cache file is the actual cache DXVK is using. So don’t delete this! Just ignore it and leave it alone. When someone tells to clear cache files – this is not one of them!
Update Options.ini
Go to your user folder and open the options.ini file with a text editor like Notepad.
Find the line “lastdevice = “. It will have several values, separated by semicolons. Copy the last one, after the last semicolon, the digits only. Close the file.
Now go to your backup version of the Options.ini file, open it and find that line “lastdevice” again. Replace the last value with the one you just copied. Make sure to only replace those digits!
Save and close the file.
Copy this version of the file into your user folder, replacing the one that is there.
Things to note:
If your GPU driver is updated, you might have to do these steps again as it might reset your device ID again. Though it seems that the DXVK ID overrides the GPU ID, so it might not happen.
How do I know it’s working?
Open the task manager and look at RAM usage. Remember the game can only use 4 GB of RAM at maximum and starts crashing when usage goes up to somewhere between 3.2 – 3.8 GB (it’s a bit different for everybody).
So if you see values like 2.1456 for RAM usage in a large world and an ongoing save, it’s working. Generally the lower the value, the better for stability.
Also, DXVK will have generated its cache file called TS3W.DXVK-cache in the bin folder. The file size will grow with time as DXVK is adding stuff to it, e.g. from different worlds or savegames. Initially it might be something like 46 KB or 58 KB, so it’s really small.
Optional: changing MemCacheBudgetValue
MemCacheBudgetValue determines the size of the game's VRAM Cache. You can edit those values but the difference might not be noticeable in game. It also depends on your computer’s hardware how much you can allow here.
The two lines of seti MemCacheBudgetValue correspond to the high RAM level and low RAM level situations. Therefore, theoretically, the first line MemCacheBudgetValue should be set to a larger value, while the second line should be set to a value less than or equal to the first line.
The original values represent 200MB (209715200) and 160MB (167772160) respectively. They are calculated as 200x1024x1024=209175200 and 160x1024x1024=167772160.
Back up your GraphicsRules.sgr file! If you make a mistake here, your game won’t work anymore.
Go to your bin folder and open your GraphicsRules.sgr with a text editor.
Search and find two lines that set the variables for MemCacheBudgetValue.
Modify these two values to larger numbers. Make sure the value in the first line is higher or equals the value in the second line. Examples for values:
1073741824, which means 1GB
2147483648 which means 2 GB.
-1 (minus 1) means no limit (but is highly experimental, use at own risk)
Save and close the file. It might prompt you to save the file to a different place and not allow you to save in the Bin folder. Just save it someplace else in this case and copy/paste it to the Bin folder afterwards. If asked to overwrite the existing file, click yes.
Now start your game and see if it makes a difference in smoothness or texture loading. Make sure to check RAM and VRAM usage to see how it works.
You might need to change the values back and forth to find the “sweet spot” for your game. Mine seems to work best with setting the first value to 2147483648 and the second to 1073741824.
Uninstallation
Delete these files from your bin folder (installation path):
d3d9.dll
DXVK.conf
TS3W.DXVK-cache
And if you have it, also TS3W_d3d9.log
if you changed the values in your GraphicsRule.sgr file, too, don’t forget to change them back or to replace the file with your backed up version.
OR
delete the bin folder and add it from your backup again.

Follow the steps from part A. no Reshade/Gshade to set up DXVK.
If you are already using Reshade (RS) or GShade (GS), you will be prompted to overwrite files, so choose YES. RS and GS may stop working, so you will need to reinstall them.
Whatever version you are using, the interface shows similar options of which API you can choose from (these screenshots are from the latest versions of RS and GS).
Please note:
Each time you install and uninstall DXVK, switching the game between Vulkan and d3d9, is essentially changing the graphics card ID again, which results in the settings in your options.ini file being repeatedly reset.
ReShade interface
Choose – Vulcan
Click next and choose your preferred shaders.
Hopefully this install method works and it won't install its own d3d9.dll file.
If it doesn't work, then choose DirectX9 in RS, but you must make sure to replace the d3d9.dll file with DXVK's d3d9.dll (the one from its 32bit folder, checking its size is 3.86mb.)
GShade interface
Choose –
Executable Architecture: 32bit
Graphics API: DXVK
Hooking: Normal Mode
GShade is very problematic, it won't work straight out of the box and the overlay doesn't show up, which defeats the purpose of using it if you can't add or edit the shaders you want to use.
Check the game's bin folder, making sure the d3d9.dll is still there and its size is 3.86mb - that is DXVK's dll file.
If installing using the DXVK method doesn't work, you can choose the DirectX method, but there is no guarantee it works either.
The game will not run with these files in the folder:
d3d10core.dll
d3d11.dll
dxgi.dll
If you delete them, the game will start but you can't access GShade! It might be better to use ReShade.
Some Vulcan and DirectX information, if you’re interested:
Vulcan is for rather high end graphic cards but is backward compatible with some older cards. Try this method with ReShade or GShade first.
DirectX is more stable and works best with older cards and systems. Try this method if Vulcan doesn't work with ReShade/GShade in your game – remember to replace the d3d9.dll with DXVK's d3d9.dll.

Whimsy Stories Legacy Challenge Converted from TS4 for TS3
I was looking at challenges again and saw this one and thought it was a pretty cool legacy challenge to play except it was for TS4. Well not anymore…
Whimsy Stories Legacy Challenge is a TS4 legacy challenge created by @kateraed where simmers who wish to be more involved in their sims lives with compelling storytelling as well as expand their gameplay through this challenge. Original rules can be found here.
I take no credit for this challenge except the conversion for TS3. Some of the stuff in TS4 is not applicable to TS3 (vice versa) so some changes were made to fit for TS3 gameplay.
How to remove all CC from Sims3Packs from the Exchange or TSR and convert them to packages!
Everyone knows Sims3Packs containing sims and lots from the Exchange or TSR can be unsafe because of their unknown (and possibly corrupt) CC content, and many just avoid them all together... But there IS a way to effectively clean them so they're CC free! And you can even convert them to packages for ease of use
How? Using the program Custard created by Delphy!
But... I noticed that there aren't many recent tutorials for using it, which resulted in me just using trial and error to figure it out. So I thought I would post my findings along with some info that wasn't explained in other tutorials (like converting them to .package files afterwards)!
How to use it
I'm working with the assumption that all custom content should be removed from the sim or lot. But if you find files inside that aren't corrupt, you can technically keep them. I'd recommend against it though, because if you install the resulting file as a Sims3Pack you won't be able to remove the CC without uninstalling the sim/lot. And if you convert it to a package, you'll get multiple CC files that are weirdly named in a way that's hard to identify. If you really want the CC that the sim or lot came with, it's best practice to download those items individually (if possible)
This program is also great for verifying that Sims3Packs don't have any undisclosed CC!
If you're downloading a sim from the Exchange, click Save File rather than Add to Game so you can clean it first!
Step 1: Download Custard from MTS and run the program
Step 2: Open up your Sims3Pack inside Custard
Step 3: Uncheck ALL files except the very first one at the top of the list
The very first file is the sim base (or lot). All other files are custom content. You may see some files listed in deep red (like below) if they're actually corrupt
Step 4: Click File -> Save!
Step 5: If it's a Sim, check the resulting file size
Why? Because some sims have been packed with their CC skin attached to the sim base, and Custard isn't able to remove it. The main tell is if the resulting file is still very large in size. Normally, sims with zero CC should be around 300-450 KB
If the sim still has it's mystery skin attached, you can still use it, but I'd recommend going in game, loading the sim in the CAS bin, and saving a fresh copy with one of your own CC skins (or an EA one). Then later delete or uninstall the one cleaned with Custard just so you don't have the mystery CC skin floating in your game
Step 6 (Optional but recommended): Convert the cleaned Sims3Pack to a package with Delphy's Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter
I made two empty folders in my Downloads folder to make using this program quick and easy, one named "original" and one named "converted." I put the Sims3Pack in "original" and use that as the folder that contains Sims3Packs, and put "converted" as the destination folder. These paths will be saved for future use, which is nice because I use this all the time for other purposes!
Make sure to check the box "Rename files on Save"
Once it converts to a package, that's pretty much it!
If it's a sim, place the file in your Mods/Packages folder. You will find it in the CAS bin
If it's a lot, place the file in your The Sims 3/Library folder. You will find it in the Edit Town library
Any CC (like clothes, furniture) that was originally in the Sims3Pack will be automatically be replaced when you load up the file in game. Happy simming!
“Neapolitan” Gshade preset collection comes with 3 different presets, depending on what you want the vibe to be! (Click on the pics to enlarge the previews of them, I really strugglebus with formatting on tumblr, so bear with me! The pics are unfortunately not as sharp as they actually are, trust me, the presets look better in game) I named it Neapolitan because it reminded me of the trio of ice cream flavours I ate as a kid all the time. It also suits the vibe of each one, so that helps!
“Strawberry” Is the preset I use currently for my own gameplay. It is vibrant and pops the colours just enough so it doesn’t burn your eyes out, but retains a bright and cheerful vibe.
“Vanilla” Lives up to its name by being just the right amount of different from the original EA vibes but slightly brighter and adds a pop of more vibrancy and smoothness.
“Chocolate” has a moody, almost autumnal vibe. It leans more warm, mysterious and I’m surprised by how much I like it in-game; since I tend to go brighter and vibrant. I should’ve taken screenshots of it in a forested area, but this already took my whole afternoon so, the previews are what they are lol
I am VERY picky about Gshade presets, and so I made sure that the things that bother me the most I fixed when I made these presets. They are as follows:
1) Not heavily blue-green, like EA’s ugly lighting
2) Neutralizes the overly yellow tones in EA’s whites
3) Doesn’t make sims look basketball orange
4) Doesn’t make sims of colour (especially black sims!) look washed out
5) Are gameplay-friendly, and don’t bleach out the UI in game so it’s unreadable
6) Are the vibe
ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING before the download: If you go into your game and you’re like “???? why is this preset making my game a little slow?” PLEASE go and click on your MXAO settings and turn the quality down. My computer by some miracle can handle it on ultra, but it can make your computer slow if it can’t handle it. It is easily fixable by turning it to Medium or lower depending on what your computer can run.
Also, I used ADOF for the screenshots, which is a depth of field shader, I turned it off, so if you want it on in your game, just type it in the search bar and turn it on :)
TOU: Do whatever, just make sure you link back here and don’t claim as your own. You can edit them to your preference, but please don’t re-upload them without giving credit to the original.
All credits belong to thatonegreenleaf, I converted and reduced the polygons.
Thank you to the lovely @lalasimmer, for tutorial ♡
You can only have one version.
Conflicts with any other background of the CAS.
Does not replace the stylist's room, pet editor, or plumbot editor.
Some textures that have transparency can mess up the look of the hairstyles a bit, but that's okay.

Hello my sweeties, those who are reading my posts at the end. My friends have often asked me, how did I get such a beautiful CAS? And I was very surprised that many people haven't heard of the
lalasimmer tutorial. I realize that many people don't want to deal with a blender, so I thought I'd give you a whole ten backgrounds for every taste. I also carefully reduced polygons in each of them, as well as slightly corrected the size of some textures (no one doubted it). I will be very pleased if you click on the heart and use these backgrounds. Have a nice day!
