More Favorites â Add Custom Favorite Food, Music, and Colors by Destrospean
"This framework allows modders and CC creators to add their own foods, music genres, and colors to the list of selectable favorites. It supports music stations added by gamefreak130's Broadcaster and foods added by douglasveiga's CCLoader in addition to foods included with the unmodded game and its add-on content.
Hereinafter is information relevant to modders. To users simply wanting to install packages that include new favorites, you can stop reading.
In the vanilla game, there's a tiny 1% chance per day an NPC will ask your Sim to move into their household. I've only seen this a handful of times in years of playing the game because the chances are so low!
I made this tuning mod to increase the odds. Now, friends and partners will take the initiative to ask your sim to move in to their place more often!
Tuning Changes
Relationship Requirement: 50 -> 60 (have to be at least Good Friends)
Base Chance of NPC Asking Per Day: 1% -> 10%
Additional Chance if in Romantic Relationship: 2% -> 20%
If your sim says no, the NPC has to wait 7 days (instead of 2) before they can ask again to avoid unwanted repeated requests
Conflicts
This is a tuning mod and will conflict with any other mods that edit the MovingSituation XML
Depending on your play style, if your sims tend to have high skill in Charisma and lots of Good Friends, this could trigger a bit too often
So I made an additional version with half the chances of the original mod (but still 5x the EA default). Relationship requirement and cooldown are the same as the original
Base chance of an NPC asking per day has been changed to 5%, and additional chance if in romantic relationship has been changed to 10%
Yeah, I know I'm mostly posting writing-related ramblings, but since I have this profile anyway, might as well post modding stuff, too.
I've made this back in 2023 and kinda forgot about it until someone at the Creators Cave reminded me that I posted it for testing :D
Sure, there are other hospital mods by now, but I liked this one above others and wanted to see it work correctly again. So I decompiled it and fixed it up.
Note #1: as far as I can tell, most claims about this mod being "dangerous for your save" are myths. And all the broken interactions are now fully functional.
Make backups if you're worried and let me know if you encounter any bugs!
Since SimsMX hasn't been seen for... well over 12 years, as far as I can tell, I can't really know his feelings about updates to his mod, so I'm posting it here instead of more 'official channels'. If he ever comes back, he can... have my code changes or whatever he likes. Mod's still effectively his, my changes are moderate.
I would recommend following this guide that came out recently for the newest version of DXVK! The ReShade part is completely optional, but I would highly recommend setting up S3SS as well as it really makes the game perform better!
If you have an NVIDIA card, it's also recommended to restore your Nvidia Control Panel settings for TS3 to default if you have ever modified them, so they won't overlap with your DXVK graphics settings:
Once you get to the part of editing dxvk.conf, I have some slight differences in my own config file, but there isn't really a consensus yet on the best values for many of them, so you'll have to see what works best on your own hardware
For example the guide recommends setting samplerAnisotropy to 16, but it can cause hair speculars to look pixelated like in the below image taken from discord, and I personally had issues with rain looking really weird on water surfaces too
So instead I have it set to 8 like so:
d3d9.samplerAnisotropy = 8
I hope the guide I linked does the trick though, let me know if you run into any issues!!
By default in Sims 3, gambling is basically a free money cheat. I noticed there were no tuning mods available to make the odds closer to reality, so I went ahead and made one!
Gambling odds have been made far more realistic across the board. If you're winning, try to get out while you're ahead!
Tuning Changes
Most notably:
"Free money per hand" in Poker has been removed entirely
Roulette odds now approximate real European Roulette at 47.3% regardless of skill level
Slot machines have significantly reduced odds that do not scale with skill
Winning, losing, and tie odds in Blackjack have been made more realistic. Natural Blackjacks now occur at a flat 5% frequency regardless of Gambling skill
Sims will spend less time standing around blankly in between pulling the lever in slots
Sims won't be able to kick the slot machine as often to recoup losses
A complete list of tuning changes is available in the MTS description
Required Store Content
I made two versions: one for those who only have The Lucky Simoleon Casino venue, and one for those who have all of the store content
Slot Machines and Blackjack: The Lucky Simoleon Casino (psst)
Poker and Roulette: Double Down Poker and Roulette Bundle (psst)
If you have any of the store content in package format, place this mod in the Overrides folder
Conflicts
This mod will conflict with any other mod that edits the SlotMachine, BlackjackTable, PokerTable, and RouletteTable XMLs. But to my knowledge, none exist currently

This set includes 3 default replacements to what are IMO the worst-looking rodent pets in TS3: the rat, shrew, and chinchilla.
As I never use these rodents as pets, I figured theyâd get way more attention from me if I turned them into rabbits, and so here we areâafter 10 years, the eyesores are finally gone.
(Credit to Mila for the TS2 rabbits!)
FLAWS: There is going to be mesh clipping, as these rabbits are larger than EAâs tiny AF default rodents.
That stupid log-tunnel thing is too small for the rabbits, but the hamster wheel still worksâsuccess, I say.
Work as a Film Extra (A New Rabbit Hole Interaction)
This mod adds a new interaction to the film studio, allowing your sims to work as film extras to earn some extra cash. Various events will also occur during the process.
Requirements
This mod requires Late Night and Showtime.
Main Features
Sims aged teen and older can work as film extras at any time of the day. Sims who already work in the Film Career or are celebrities cannot work as extras, but those working part-time at the film studio are allowed to.
The interaction lasts for 4 hours. Similar to prom, a pop-up triggering a random event will appear every half hour. Below are the details and probabilities of each event (rounded to two decimal places):
Praised by the director: Gets a positive moodlet (16.67%)
Meet a celebrity: Increases relationship (8.33%). The celebrity must meet one of the following two conditions: 1ïžâŁCelebrity level is at least 3. OR 2ïžâŁWorks in one of the following careers: Film, Music, Professional Sports, Singer, Magician, or Acrobat. This means you might meet Matthew Hamming, Pauline Wan, or even a 5-star celebrity cashier. If there are no sims in the current world meeting these conditions, this event will not trigger.
Obtain a Magic Gnome (12.5%)
Make a fool of themselves: Gets a negative moodlet (12.5%)
Get injured during filming: Gets a negative moodlet (8.33%)
Gain a little bit of the charisma skill (16.67%)
Conflict with another actor: Decreases relationship (8.33%). Preference will be given to sims in the following careers: Film, Music, Professional Sports, Singer, Magician, or Acrobat. If there are no sims meeting these conditions, your sim will randomly become enemies with a teen or older sim in the current world.
3 random filming work events: Purely text-based events (16.67%)
After the work is finished, your sim will receive payment (the amount is not fixed and fluctuates randomly based on traits and skills). There is a 24-hour cooldown before they can work as a film extra again.
Each event has a base trigger weight, which is further modified by the sim's traits. Sims with the Natural Born Performer, Star Quality, or Charismatic traits are more likely to trigger good events (being praised, meeting celebrities, etc.). Sims with the Clumsy, Loser, or Unlucky traits are more likely to encounter bad situations (making a fool of themselves, getting injured, etc.).
Tuning
You can adjust values for event weights, work hours, trigger intervals, celebrity relationships, etc. in the mod's XML file.
Conflicts & Known Issues
This is a pure script mod, so there shouldn't be any conflicts.
If a sim goes to work as an extra during their regular work or school hours, they might leave early or be reset by Overwatch, but they will still receive the corresponding payment. If your teen works as an extra during curfew, they will still be forcibly escorted home by the police.
If you place a new film studio in the world, you will need to save and reload the game for the interaction option to appear on the building.
Plumbots will not receive moodlets when triggering certain events, though it might depend on the chips they have.
Installation
Just place the package file in your Mods/Packages folder.

If youâve ever used the Sims 4 Tray Importer, youâre going to love this tool for The Sims 3!
It was created to make life easier for players who use custom content (CC) and want to keep everything organized or to share fully CC-included Sims in a quick and practical way!
(The first version was ready in October ffrom last year and I'm publishing it now lol)
đź What does this tool do?
â Automatically copies all .package custom content used by a Sim, Household or Lot into a specific folder.
â Includes an option to compress the folder for easier sharing or storage.
â Works with both individual Sims and full Households (or Lots).
â Can also help you identify which .package files you no longer want in your game.
đFeatures:
â It copies the folder structure from your Mods folder, including only the necessary files, keeping the CCs organized.
â Compatible with three languages: Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
(If your system language is not one of these, the tool will default to English.)
P.s.: If youâd like your language included, just send me all the toolâs text already translated, and Iâll add it.
â Important â Please read before using!
đč Windows only, sorry. :(
đč You must use only .package files when creating your Sim or building your Lot.
đč You must convert the .sims3pack content exported from the game to .package format before scanning the custom content it uses.
đč If your converted .sims3pack files were separated into multiple packages, you need to merge those packages again to make it easier for the tool to correctly find and gather all custom content (or you select one by one to verify).
đč Right now, I'm also working on adding support for reading Sims3Pack files directly, which should make the process even easier in the future.
This ensures the tool can properly detect every file being used.
đ Credits and Thanks
Special thanks to Peter Jones for S3PI (package reading library), and to Kitilith for the idea and basis of their Find Merged CC tool used in this project (credits will be included with the readme file as requested on their GitHub).
Iâd also like to thank Ash (@cowplantcartel) for testing this tool in every build. đ

This mod requires Seasons Expansion Pack and Lazy Duchessâ Mono Patcher Library to work!
This is a script mod that improves the basic aspects of the Online Dating system from Seasons, aiming to make it more helpful overall for Sims searching for love on the net. đ
Wanna meet hot, actually single Sims in your area? Keep reading!
Finding Potential Matches
By default, the game has very loose filters when it comes to determining which Sims will populate the Online Dating interface. Most of the time it ends up overrun with Sims who are already in committed relationships or not even attracted to our Simâs gender in the first place. Add to that the amount of Sims from different age groups that our Sim might find a little too old (or too young!), and weâve got ourselves a very complete list full of Sims that we wonât be pursuing.
The mod makes the matchmaking process a little smarter by adding the following rules:
Sims within the same age group as our Sim are preferred. Sims of a different age group have a lower chance of being selected.
Homeless Sims are now eligible as potential matches, with a lower chance of being selected than resident Sims.
Gender preference is taken into consideration. Only Sims who are attracted to (or at least not opposed to romancing) our Simâs gender will be selected.
Sims in committed relationships will not be considered for possible matches unless they have Commitment Issues or a negative relationship with their partner.
- Sims who are Family Oriented or Hopeless Romantic will not be selected even if they have a negative relationship with their partner.
Note that in order for the new functionality to take place, the Online Dating system has to ârefreshâ. This can be done manually by deleting and re-creating the active Simâs profile, or by waiting roughly one Sim day for it to update automatically.
Body Type
The vanilla game allows Sims to describe their physique in their Online Dating profile as Slim, Athletic or More to Love.
For some reason, EAâs original code for this feature makes it so that any Sim whose weight is above 0 (i.e. dead center of the slider) is considered More to Love, leading to some Sims being unfairly accused of lying about their appearance after even the slightest weight change.
The mod corrects this issue and makes some general changes to the body type system to balance things out:
Sims can now choose an Average Figure body type from the drop-down list when creating an Online Dating profile.
Sims have a Slim body type if their body weight is under -0.5.
Sims have an Athletic body type if their fitness slider is over 0.5, unchanged from the vanilla game.
Sims have a More to Love body type if their body weight is over 0.5.
Extras
The Online Dating UI can now display each Simâs age:
If Batteryâs Real Age mod is installed, the Simâs age in years will be shown next to their name in the messages, profile grid and full profile.
Without Real Age, the Simâs life stage will only be shown in the full profile. Disabled by default.
Additionally, when a Sim is directed to Check Messages, the âNo new messagesâ dialog now shows as a much less disruptive notification in the top-right corner.
Tuning
As always, the mod comes with many tunable settings to help you adjust all of its features to your liking. Below is detailed information about each setting:
Possible Matches
Include Homeless Sims: Set to False to only consider resident Sims when populating Online Dating matches. Default: True.
Use Gender Preference: Whether to consider gender preference when populating Online Dating matches. Default: True.
Different Age Weight: Weighted chance of matching Sims who are not in the same life stage. Default: 4.
Homeless Sim Weight: Percent chance of considering a Homeless Sim when populating Online Dating Matches. Default: 2.
Relationship Level Threshold: LTR threshold for Sims in committed relationships to be eligible to populate Online Dating matches. Default: 0.
Online Dating Profile
Show Age in Profile: Displays Simâs life stage next to their name in the Online Dating profile. Example: âBetty (Young Adult)â. Default: False.
Show Real Age in Profile: Displays Simâs age in years next to their name in the Online Dating profile. Requires Batteryâs Real Age mod, will simply do nothing if not installed. Example: âBetty, 25â. Default: True.
Slim Body Type Threshold: Negative weight slider threshold for a Simâs body type to be Slim. Default: -0.5.
Athletic Body Type Threshold: Fitness slider threshold for a Simâs body type to be Athletic.
More to Love Body Type Threshold: Weight slider threshold for a Simâs body type to be More to Love. Default: 0.5.
Compatibility & Issues
The main mod file uses Mono Patcher to replace the following EA code:
- Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.Electronics.Computer.CheckDatingMessages.Run()
- Sims3.Gameplay.Utilities.OnlineDatingManager.OnlineDatingRecord.PopulateMatches()
- Sims3.Gameplay.Utilities.OnlineDatingProfile.GetDefaultBodyType()
- Sims3.Gameplay.Utilities.OnlineDatingProfile.LieAboutBodyType()
- Sims3.UI.OnlineDating.BrowseDatingProfilesDialog.UpdateProfile()
- Sims3.UI.OnlineDating.CreateProfileDialog
The main mod file is compatible with Gamefreak130âs Smartphone Dating mod. The provided compatibility package simply replaces one method to maintain consistency with my edit of the original Check Messages interaction:
- Gamefreak130.SmartphoneDatingSpace.Interactions.CheckDatingMessagesPhone.Run()
The compatibility package for Batteryâs Real Age mod replaces the following EA code:
- Sims3.UI.OnlineDating.BrowseDatingProfilesDialog.PopulateGrid()
- Sims3.UI.OnlineDating.BrowseDatingProfilesDialog.UpdateProfile()
- Sims3.UI.OnlineDating.CheckMessagesDialog.PopulateGrid()
- Sims3.UI.OnlineDating.CreateProfileDialog
The mod is fully compatible with @nectar-cellarâs More Active Online Dating and Online Dating Inbox Messages, since they all modify different parts of the online dating system.
If a Sim is directed to edit their Online Dating profile, the traits section may show blank slots. This can be fixed by clicking one of the blank slots to bring up the traits picker, then hitting Accept.
Strings & Language Support
All languages are supported; the only new text added for the Average Figure body type is copied from an existing game string that hopefully fits the context well enough across all languages.
I made a small change to the Spanish text to grammatically match the other options in the body type picker. Any corrections to other languages are more than welcome.
Download: SFS / Patreon
This download contains three package files:
simbouquet_OnlineDatingSanity: Main mod file.
simbouquet_OnlineDatingSanity_COMPATIBILITY_RealAge: Only necessary if Batteryâs Real Age mod is installed.
simbouquet_OnlineDatingSanity_COMPATIBILITY_SmartphoneDating: Only necessary if Gamefreak130âs Smartphone Dating is installed.

Throughout the years, I saw many edits to this file, but I was never satisfied because it was never to my liking: like GPU-Addon, no-glow version, or high quality shadows, Phantom99 version; had to choose either one or another.
Another reason I am making this because in a Discord server, different blogs and social medias, there were many simmers who had problems making their game recognise GPU and GPU memory, game not opening etc.
One day, I got hold of the file from MacOS version 1.70, which had "improvements" in comparison to the version Steam/Discs/EA app had, then I also checked TS4 version of the file and made this ultimate one.
This replaces every other mod that edits this file and can't be used with them.
Gonna stop rambling and actually give you changelog of what I did:
MacOS base changes:
Updates CPU checks (INTEL ONLY) and adds a new CPU check.
Adds a check for Radeon cards with "555X" in the name (used in 2018 MacBook Pro 15" models).
Added a check for Intel Iris and removed RenderShadow mode 4 (probably outdated?).
Adds a new GPU check above GPU Uber. GPU memory check added for Uber Level cards.
If the GPU is not matched and found, it will default as found, matched, and supported.
Added RAM uber level.
Updates detection for High General Reflections.
Updates to AntiAliasing or Edge Smoothing, with new check logic.
Updates the detection check for the Tree Quality option on the Very High setting.
Updates the map view clip plane distance and replaces it with lower quality.
Disables Post-Processing completely. (in community known as no-glow mod)
Additional improvements:
Post-Processing can be enabled in Options.ini (recommended if you use, or plan to use, LazyDuchess shader tweaks, or if you use lighting mods that fix the in-game bloom effect).
postprocessing = 0 for disabled and postprocessing = 1 for enabled
Changed so that the maximum number of active slots is 4 on Windows, since the game is not 64-bit on Windows, and the default setting of 8 was left on the MacOS platform (the logic check on that was 'broken').
Telemetry, Store ads, interactive loading screens, tutorials, intro tutorials, and online notifications (aka constant notification pop-up), and pop-up asking to enable edge scrolling and to log in to an account are disabled by default, which can be enabled again in Options if you want it back.
Witches, horses, fairies, werewolves, vampires are turned off by default to help with performance, but can be checked again in Settings at any time.
I tweaked the map view clip plane, because the changes from macOS made it worse; I kept the better version on Medium and High.
Changed the OS overhead penalty from -400 MHz (dual-core HT only) to -200 MHz (all CPUs) on Windows Vista and later. Removed the outdated Pentium 4 HT bias.
Fixed the Animation Smoothing option (it never worked originally, as it was always forced to be true).
Texture memory fallback now scales with RAM level (256/512/768/896/1024 MB) instead of the fixed 32MB.
Made changes to draw distance so that they scale correctly at low, medium and high, hopefully improving performance. Each setting now properly adjusts exponent, zoom and culling values (low culls more aggressively and high renders more).
AMD GPUs now have better graphics (EA gave AMD users worse graphics), and fixing this also resolves issues that shader tweaks did to AMD users.
Disabled full-screen mode by default. Users with hiDPI monitors experienced a problem when they first ran the game, which caused it to be minimised and not open, this fixes it.
Shadow quality can now be adjusted in options.ini file (up to 8192).
Future plans: integrate PseudoResolution logic like TS4 does (it's available, but not used in GraphicsRules), think back on new texture memory fallback logic, add option for users to enable HQMod in Options.ini instead of manually editing GraphicsRules.sgr, give optional tuning that tweaks aging and seasons, making them in correlation to sim-pregnancy, which is basically 4 sim days â 1 year). â Yes, aging and season settings are also mentioned in this file, additional optional tweaks that one doesn't have to edit in Settings every time they update GPU drivers and Settings reset to default.
Download: SFS
To make this work correctly you have to delete Options.ini from your Documents/The Sims 3 folder. Make sure to back up your aging/seasons settings either by taking in-game settings screenshots of those or by copying values from Options.ini.
Works with all game versions, possibly The Sims Medieval too.
Your feedback is appreciated. Any changes that I should make? Any problems you encountered? Let me know in comments.
I posted this on Reddit yesterday, and it seemed like everyone loved it! So I wanted to put together a tutorial for anyone who wants to try it out!
I saw a reddit post last year that never left my mind. Someone had made the mouse lights sync with their Sims mood! I knew right away that I needed to do that, and after some digging, I found the same mouse (I think) from that post!
But no one seemed to know how or even if it would sync with a specific part of the screen. I even messaged the original redditor, but they haven't been active for some time now. So I wasn't sure if it would actually work or not.
But, one year later, I finally gave in and bought the mouse nonetheless! Whether it worked or not, I needed a new mouse, and I couldnât pass up this opportunity.
After some trial and error... it syncs! It's not perfect (it turns slightly blue when the bar drops low, but not low enough to trigger yellow), but still, I'm so happy with it!
See how you can do it under the cut!
So, how can you make your mouse sync with your Sim mood?
I only know how this works with Logitech mouse, but I believe there might be other options out there! The key is having a mouse that supports LightSync and comes with a companion app.
This tutorial is specifically for Logitech devices, but if you're using a different brand, you might be able to adapt the steps to work with your setup!
I also have no idea if this can work on mac or linux.
This might also work for other sims games if they have a colored mood. I only play sims 3 so I don't know how it would work on them.

Open the Logitech app â it should automatically detect your mouse. But before you click on the device, make sure to click the "sun-like" icon.
You will have to disable Dynamic Lighting for Windows.
It will prompt you to access Windows settings, so click on the blue link in that message.
Once you're in Windows settings, just turn off "Use Dynamic Lighting on my devices."
Go back to the Logitech app and click on your mouse. On the left side of the app, click the sun-like icon again.
In the top right corner, click on "Desktop Default," then select "Manage Profiles."
In that new page, below "Games & Applications," click on "Add Game or Application."
This will open File Explorer, and youâll need to locate your TS3W.exe file. The exact folder depends on where you play the game (Steam, EA, đŽââ ïž), so the path may vary. You can search online for the correct Bin folder based on your version.
If you have a shortcut to the game anywhere, just right-click it and select "Open File Location". This will take you directly to the folder. Then, simply copy the path and paste it into the File Explorer pop-up of the Logitech app, and select TS3W.exe.
I already have TS3W configured, so for demonstration purposes, Iâm going to use TS3.exe instead.
Click on the profile to select it. The cursor will probably be very slow, so you'll need to adjust the DPI, either directly on your mouse or through the app.
Go back by clicking the upper left corner. Always make sure youâre on the correct profile (TS3W). The app can be a bit stubborn and will automatically switch to Desktop if you open anything outside the app.
So, always double-check the profile name in the upper left corner.
With the TS3W profile open, go to Presets > Effects and open the dropdown menu. From there, select âScreen Samplerâ and click on it.
Before reconfiguring anything, letâs open the game!
With the game running on a save file, press the Windows key to bring up the taskbar and open the Logitech app. It will probably have switched back to the Desktop profile, so be sure to change it back to TS3W.
Then, click on âEditâ below the Screen Sampler effect.
Now, a blue rectangle will appear in the app. This rectangle lets you select the part of the screen you want the mouse lighting to sync with. You can resize it and move it over to the mood bar of your Sim.
This part can be a bit tricky. Youâll need to go back and forth between the game and the app until you find the perfect position where the mouse lighting syncs perfectly with the color.
I recommend turning testingcheats on so you can lower your Simâs moodlets and check if all the colors display correctly on the mouse.
Every time you switch between the game and the Logitech app, it will ask if you want to keep using the TS3W profileâalways click Yes so you donât have to change it manually each time.
The position below works best for me right now. Thereâs a point where the mouse turns blue because the color isnât quite green or yellow yet, but it only happens with that very specific mood, so it doesnât bother me much.
Mess around with that little blue square until you find the perfect position. Unfortunately, it canât get any smaller, which would really help. But if you use Tiny UI Fix for The Sims 3, the target area will be much bigger, and I believe it will work even better!
You shouldnât place the blue square too high on the mood bar because once the green bar drops, the mouse will start picking up gray. It should be positioned so that, when the mood bar turns yellow, the green is low enough to avoid being detected.
The taskbar might be in the way, but donât worry, the mouse wonât pick up that color.
I've noticed that, with the default blue UI, it's much more difficult to make this work. The mood bar isn't straight, it gets thinner at the bottom, so I've noticed that it starts picking blue in a lot of points, specially when the mood bar is green. Since it picks the color from the whole square, it might be blending those colors and it doesn't stay green for long if the green area is small. I made it work once tho, so it isn't impossible!
So, now let's see it in action!
Itâs not perfect, but itâs such a cool effect that I donât mind the quirks. Hope this helps if youâre trying it out too!
