Hi.. I made an Orokin OC. His name is Markouris (kinda pronounced like Mercury)

He' s an attention whore and is a sculptor! He made ayatans alongside other sculpted pieces. He really loved the attention he got whenever he'd create some new piece. He's almost always smoking.

Markouris definitely made art pieces mocking Ballas' failures in assassinating him. They were pretty popular

ONE MORE THING: this man was not spared during the Tenno uprising. IF he survived the coup on the Night of Naga Drums it was not because the Tenno considered him an ally or took pity on him; it was because he was just clever enough to see the coup coming and had a secret Tenno-proof fallout shelter dug into the surface of one of Jupiter's moons so he could lay low for like five centuries, most likely frozen in cryo to avoid boredom.

he's definitely like not an overly violent orokin- just an attention whore who likes to enjoy the attention he and his art gets.

gotta keep living so he could make more art in the future. I'm sure he'd get a kick out of the obsession the corpus have over Orokin tech, etc- so he'd be like 'hey i can make u nerds things'

I desperately want to either read or write more lore about this faggy blue man. (Looks around) GUESS I'M WRITIN'.

He desperately wanted to possess the Citrine Warframe for his personal bodyguard but was not allowed. So he settled for a Tenno wielding a copy of the Gara Warframe which he jealously festooned with finery made from cut and polished Rubedo crystal, glittering and red. Since he successfully predicted the uprising of the Tenno he went out of his way to ensure that his Gara bodyguard - already dripping with sparkling blood red shards, beads, and droplets - was in attendance at the festival honoring the brave and powerful Tenno on the Night of Naga Drums while he himself watched from the safety of his Tower ship in high orbit. When the Night of Naga Drums changed from gold to grim there was only a scant few seconds of delay before he ordered his navigator to secret him away to his hideaway on the moon of Jupiter where he and his retinue of Dax and retainers would all enter cryo stasis to await the future.

For sure if you were one of his dax or retainers, it was noticeable at a glance- custom sculpted armor pieces with inlays of Rubedo. Or other ornate pieces of jewelry. He really does love rubedo.

New lore tidbits

Merkouris loves watching K-drive races. Partly for the sportsmanship but moreso because of all the hunky boys in dynamic poses. It is both sexually arousing and artistically inspiring. Dax on Kaitheback have a similar effect.

None of the permanently installed statues aboard the Zariman were Mercouris's, and he is absolutely salty about it. He so badly wanted his art to be the first ones placed on an alien world and was denied in a biblical act of blue-balling. You already know Ballas was the one who did it.

Merkouris avoids making art of flowers out of principle. He insists that it is the impermanence of a flower, it's tiny and fragile existence that makes them beautiful. Immortalizing them in painting or sculpture makes them permanent and thus destroys the beauty of that which is fleeting. When he starts going on one of these tirades everyone around him rolls their eyes and tries not to look bored.

His favorite bug is the dragonfly. Or whatever it has mutated and evolved into in the post-mass-exctinction, post-terraforming, post-genetic-modification world of the Orokin. He has made several different Ayatan sculptures based on dragonflies but due to their fragility almost none have survived to present day, save for the ones preserved within his fallout shelter.

In addition to his various 'normal' works of art Merkouris also designed a small number of weapons for Dax & Tenno. These were done in collaboration with an Archimedean weaponsmith to ensure that they were just as deadly as they were beautiful. The process was frequently interrupted by bouts of raucous sex.

During one of his continuities he decided to try out the One Long Arm that was fashionable for Orokin elites. He hated it. The lopsidedness left him constantly uncomfortable and off balance and the fine motor control that he had relied upon for his art for several centuries was completely shot. He ended up drinking kuva and inducing another continuity early to escape from it and swap to a more familiarly styled body

I love all these ideas! Also love how much you like him. You've definitely given me some good ideas for him and I've actually written a short thing that I'm also going to do art for soon.
