I don't know if anyone else has thought of this before, but Kira's whining in EOH made me theorize-

I get that all of Kira's achievements in childhood were made to be glossed over on purpose so as to not draw attention with his personality, but it also makes me wonder if he's just... not the best at stuff LMAO. I wonder if he ever said "Hmph well I COULD have won that contest... I just chose not to so as not to draw attention, and I felt bad for everyone else!" Even Jotaro's first assumption when seeing his track trophy was "He's not much of an athlete" rather than the idea of him laying low since a young age lmao

I think it really ties in to how overconfident he is because of Killer Queen's ability that's perfect for covering his tracks and erasing anyone in his way.
