“Too fresh?” Kit repeated incredulously. “There’s no such thing! Breathe it all in. It’s refreshing. And despite all the people here, this place is massive. So it’s not like we’re even cramped. Isn’t it great?”

Her smile grew when the other told her that he did. Fenna’s fingers were itching for a moment where she could channel her thoughts and feelings in lines on a paper as she was on edge — most likely because of all the strangers constantly surrounding her. “A wide array? What’re you going to do with all those colours?,” she wondered, before adding, “Plain white will do, though. Or maybe a light blue, if you’ve got that.”
"I want to make banners for my school. For the tournament. I don’t know if there will even be the sort of tasks where we get to be spectators, but I still want to show my support,” Kit admitted, as he had no intentions of entering his name into the competition himself. Opening up his bag to glance through his colors, he said, “I do have a periwinkle color. Will that work for you?”

"I could be. Do you know a place around where we could even do it? The yacht was fun and all, but where was the sense of adventure?”

up bright and early—8am to be exact, jaxon found himself at kaleidoscope for a morning breakfast. he was as tired as ever, but he swore to himself that he would make the most out of this trip. and if that meant getting early on the weekends to explore, then that’s exactly what he would do. with a plate in hand, he stood at a stand-still, his eyes scanning all of the choices. “holy shit, that’s a lot of food,” he said out loud—mainly to himself. maybe a buffet for breakfast wasn’t the best decision for someone who was half-asleep.
Kit was purposely up with the sun, as he always was. Determined to get a headstart on the day, he was piling on the food onto his plate. He was overdoing it and he knew it, wanting to try and sneak out some scraps for the stray cats that he had seen earlier. “Isn’t it?” he said agreeably, glancing at the boy next to him before he continue to select his options. “Maladh certainly has a nice spread, both in ters of food and the entire resort itself.”

“godsamme,” cursed fenna — she had wished to do some sketching, but as her hands rummaged through her back ( rather aggressively ), she realised she had stupidly forgotten something crucial: paper. a sigh slipped past her lips and she was ready to curse again when her eyes fell on someone and she approached them with the smallest of polite smiles and asked, “weird question, but do you maybe have a spare piece of paper?”
Kit was attempting to make the most out of his free weekend time before classes started up. He had already found shops that he was sure he would frequent again in Dubai, and one of them had been a craft store. He was planning to make sure that Katnohk had the best banners in the crowd during the tournament. Thus, the girl who stopped him was in luck, Kit’s own smile bright as he reached into his bag. “I do, actually. I’ve got a whole array of colors for you to pick from, too, if you’d like. Or would you prefer a plain white piece?”

As Kit fell to the floor in a clatter and splay of limbs, bumping into a table of snacks and tipping over several bowls that were laid out, he was quick to jump back up and straighten himself out, cheeks tinged with embarrassment. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’ll clean it up.” He turned to the onlooking girl. “Were you wanting some of this?” He indicated to the taco bar. “I thankfully only managed to knock down some of the toppings...” He bent back down to begin picking up the mess he made.

"Do you mind if I sit here?” Kit gestured toward the empty space in the booth with his ice cream sundae in handy. He’d stopped by a local shop, daringly venturing out on his own. But he knew the girl could understand him, given the runic bracelet around her wrist. The charms came in handy in more than one way, making it easier to identify his fellow wixen who were sure to understand him no matter the language he was speaking in.

miles searched for a drink, quickly finding an unmanned bar and opting to make his own. he’d just finished mixing it up when someone else approached, looking at him expectantly. “i’m not much of a bartender,” patently false, “but i’ll do my best. what’ll you have?”
"Hmm,” Kit pondered the question, leaning against the counter. “How about you surprise me? But try not to make it something that will give me too bad of a headache in the morning, yeah?” He wanted to make the most out of the first weekend in Dubai, and nursing a hangover would put a damper on that.
