We finally got caught, and it's terrible. We were lifting about an hour or so away from home at an ulta we always go to and it was going to just be one easy stop and then we'd leave. No. While we were getting what we went there for, we failed to realize this very strange couple following us. Looking back on it now, they were so obvious and I'm beating myself up over it but whatever. So I'm freaking out and we go to leave and this couple runs after us and tells us we have to come back in with them. So our dumb asses went, since we didn't know what else to do. There was a huge crowd. So went into the back, they explained that they were LP and they proceeded to take the stuff out of our bags. They sat us down in chairs and the arrogant assholes were trying to make small talk with us and the main lady was literally laughing at me while I was having a panic attack. Anyways, they called the police and 2 cops came and talked to us. One was nice and was explaining that what we did was wrong but we could move on from it and use it as a learning experience and the other one just tried to intimidate us and make us feel terrible. After we were released, security guards from the mall came and took our picture for the store since we're banned for 3 years and we started talking with one of the guards. She explained that it wasn't that bad and that ulta wouldn't do anything since we were minors and it was "a first time thing" and she assured us nothing bad was going to happen. And nothing did for about 2 weeks. Now I'm sitting here with a letter in my hand from Ulta saying they're going to prosecute and both of us are going to have to go to these meetings and hope we don't go to court. There are so many fees and honestly it wasn't worth it. I'm scared to death. Please please please ALWAYS be cautious and be extremely paranoid about everyone. Better safe than sorry.
