After an incident at school, you and your teammate, Saffron, find yourselves lost in the woods outside town. The creatures of the forest aren’t exactly welcoming, and they’re not the only ones out to get you.

RPG Maker Resources?

Really wanting to try out making small games in RPG Maker 2003 or VX, but finding good guides is… not easy. Does anyone have any guides for makin tiny games? The basics are stuff i can work out, but im looking for making sprites or doing more complex events and like, putting it all together into something playable.

Check out Lvl Up Design on YouTube. He only covers newer editions of RPG Maker, but I started with VX back in 2008 and use MZ now. Eventing (and even asset creation!*) hasn’t changed too much in the intervening years. I think you could probably still get something out of his videos.

*current-day RPG Maker assets are generally formatted the same as VX, but VX uses 32x32px as the base standard for tiles, rather than 48x48.

RPG Maker 2k3 is very different than VX or current editions, so you might have a harder time finding resources. Btw, have you gotten on the rpgmaker.net forums? Idk what the scene is like now, but back in the old days it was a great place to get help and connect.
