The ICD isn't just a billing code, it's used as criteria and information to diagnose people to then be used a billing code. /nbr

This is what they like to use to "validate" non-disordered plurality. But in cases of spiritual mediums, the dissociation and "possession" side of it is voluntary and temporary. Not "I have alters/parts and am a system."

Parts is literally short for "dissociated parts of self" and alters is short for "alternate states of identity" (from back when DID was called MPD). Neither can be claimed to be had by people who don't have DID/OSDD/P-DID.

Non-disordered plurality does not exist beyond the medically recognised experiences, such as mediums or spiritual practitioners.
