Finding things on anyone’s blog
Tumblr won’t tell you this (or maybe they do and it’s just really hard to find) so here’s how to find anything on anyone’s blog. I mostly use this on my own blog because I have over 150k posts. I realized this might not be common knowledge and decided to write up a guide.
Tags
You want to find a post on someone’s very active blog about, say, an analysis of a moment in your favorite show that you want to find a month later. Did they tag it? Go to
(url).tumblr.com/tagged/(tag-with-dashes-for-spaces)
and you’ll find every post where they used that tag.
Search
That gets you to their tag, but what if that’s still too much to comb through? Unfortunately you can’t use /tagged to search more than one tag at once. Here’s where search comes in.
(url).tumblr.com/search/put+words+here
(url).tumblr.com/search/put-words-here
Using “+” between the search parameters finds you posts that contain those three words anywhere in the content. (Eg you want to search their recipes tag for cheesecake? /search/recipe+cheesecake) This can also be used to search multiple tags or narrow down results within a tag. Note that search parameters will pick up on usernames as well.
Using “-” in the search parameters finds you posts with that exact phrase, those words in that order. Didn’t tag that creepy horse picture you want to show a friend but remember the caption was “valid to eat fingers”? /search/valid-to-eat-fingers
You CAN combine multiple phrase searches with +! For example
(url).tumblr.com/search/vox-machina+critical-role
will bring up all posts containing both the phrases “vox machina” and “critical role”.
At the moment I don’t know of any way to search untagged image or video posts with no text in them.

If anyone’s trying to learn a language I’ve recently discovered this company called the Language Pod Company and it is so much better than Rosetta Stone and it’s completely free (unless you’d like one-one-one teacher-student help then it’s like $25 a month which tbh you shouldn’t really need because they make it really clear in the lessons). It’s super easy to navigate and it even gives you a history of the language. There are audio and video lessons. Real-life situations and different speakers. They even write the letters for you because I know sometime it’s hard to learn to write in a language that doesn’t use the same alphabet that you’re used to. You’re welcome.

Personally I wouldn’t recommend their service to people looking to learn a language from the start for several reasons, I’ll outline them below:
1. They will consistently spam your e-mails, you’ll receive two or three marketing e-mails a day and I have so far not found a way to unsubscribe to them (even though I haven’t been on the service in close to a year now, they continue to send them to me in some vain hope that they will entice me into rejoining them);
2. They only offer this ‘free’ access to you for one week, after which you have to pay for an upgrade in order to access the previous lesson podcasts for your course*s (which I can guarantee you that you’ll need in order to actually follow the course), and you can only access ten of the materials that accompany the audio lessons whilst using your trial account (or, “Lifetime Free Account”, as they wish to call it);
3. Their lessons don’t actually help that much. For one, the language of instruction is English, which is not useful at all for non-native English speakers, and secondly, they speak English for the majority of the podcasts that I have listened to;
4. All of their related apps that they so helpfully recommend you to use are ridiculously expensive, and not worth the money - their vocabulary apps, for example, aren’t a patch on what you can get for free from Memrise or Anki (Memrise being my preferred SRS software, even though their iOS app is ugly as hell);
5. They sell their product in a way that leads you to believe that by giving them several hundred dollars, you will be able to pick up a language and master the ability to speak, write, read and listen to it, just by listening to their weekly podcasts - which, I can assure you, you can’t.
I mean there are some good things about their service - their late-intermediate/advanced listening-only podcasts are very good for building up listening comprehension, as they consist purely of dialogue in the target language (and thus are accessible to all, regardless of native language), and you can download as many of their podcasts as you want during your seven-day free trial, during which I downloaded all of their listening practice lessons for my target languages and have used them in preparation for listening exams (although in my opinion, you’re better off using the past paper listening tapes if you can find them).
To be brutally honest, I’d only recommend this to people who are already somewhat competent in their target language and looking for listening practice, and if you do choose to sign up, do not sign up with your primary e-mail address unless you really REALLY R E A L L Y love spam e-mails (many of which actually worm their way through Google/Hotmail’s spam detection software and into your primary inbox).

Charlie and Lola in many languages
Charlie and Lola is an actually very nice British kids program, with a unique art style and use of language. It has also been dubbed into several languages, some of which are available on YouTube, and it’s around A2 - B1 level. Note: in some languages there are very few episodes available, unfortunately

Miraculous Ladybug in different languages
Don’t like LazyTown? Why not try Miraculous Ladybug? It has goofy super hero adventures with a sprinkling of romance. It is also around 20 minutes per episode and around B1/B2 level. There isn’t as much available on YouTube, but still a fair amount, and there are a lot of compilations of the title song in different languages, or videos comparing the dub of a short clip between languages, which may be useful, idk.

There is also an Indonesian fandub and a Japanese fandub, but I can’t attest for quality
