This year again, I’ve been taking part in the Senshi x Shitennou Mini Bang and was lucky to be paired with the extraordinary Cluckster who wrote a super fluffy story featuring Venus and Kunzite in the setting of I Dream of Jeannie. 

I Dream of Jeannie aired from the mid 60′s to early 70′s and the opening sequence was animated by the legend Friz Freleng. Although he’s known for his work for Warner Bros. and MGM, it carries an Hanna-Barbera-esque feel that I wanted to recreate with the colours, the retro style and lines, the 4:3 TV size and slightly blurry image.

I had much fun illustrating Clucks story, go read it and send her love too!

To me, the first nice day that everyone gets the memo to go out and soak up the sun is the first day of Spring (even if it probably snows the day after 😅

It only occurred to me after I was all done that our friends are shaded by, what appears to be, a fully leafed deciduous tree, which would probably not be so full at the very beginning of spring. Whoops 😂 🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔

🌕Full Moon Art!🌕 February is a moment to reflect and recover after an ambitious January. Our witch is taking some time for herself, in the wake of some controlled chaos 🛀🐍💖

I love drawing "stuff", but I forgot how long it takes to draw all the "stuff" 😂

I've always wanted to participate in #Inktober. I love seeing all my favorite artists just crank out beautiful and fun work, but I never participate because it frankly intimidates me too much! 😢 A common theme I saw last year was Witches, and boy, I felt like I was missing out /Big Time/ - So I made a different, attainable challenge for me: make art every month, theme Witches. No other parameters, just whatever strikes me. Just making art that makes me happy 🤗

Which brings to our first Witch - January. Filled with ambition and intention, she's off to an early start, looking bright-eyed towards wherever she's going. She may not be fully prepared, but maybe she doesn't have to be, she's just ready to go and will cross bridges as she gets to them.

Coming up with new little characters is so much fun to me, can't wait til next Full Moon! 🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔
