I finally got around to painting something on canvas(⓿_⓿).

The idea came to me after I saw videos on TikTok of people painting Minecraft screenshots with their inventory(❤´艸｀❤).

It was so beautiful that I decided to reinterpret the idea for Oblivion(ﾉ*ФωФ)ﾉ.

I had big plans for Mermay this year. Things happened and now I just have this one watercolour piece to show for it. OTL Maybe I can squeeze in one small digital work before the month is over? I really enjoyed trying to add in so much colour! <3 I wanted it to feel very magical! And so many things in the ocean are very colourful too.

A whale shark mermaid and her entourage of remora. These small mermaids form a symbiotic relationship with their large host, helping take care of her physical needs, like hygiene, organization, and navigation, and in return she provides travel and food. The arrangement is not just practical, but social as well. The "crew" of remora form close relationships with each other and with their host, some traveling together for years or even their entire lives. In a wide ocean where size peers are few and far between, this group operates as a complete and loving family unit.
