I cannot stomach the fact that some people actually believe that, though. It hurts me physically to know some people really think George should have died instead..

One of the biggest reasons why Fred's death is so sad is because he left his twin behind. What's the point of exchanging his life for George's? One of them would still be incomplete, still left with the reality of their best friend and other half being gone. Saying George should have died instead makes absolutely no sense. Fred would be just as hurt. 

Just the thought of this even being a suggestion is boggling.
