My opinion on persona 5 royal is that the true ending does not matter. Even canonically it doesn’t. Some of the quality of life things and additions to out of palace activities are nice but the entire third semester, maruki and sumire add nothing and are just there to take up time. Same with fleshing out akechi and moving his confidant from an automatic story one to a regular one, it added little and just felt weird
