@patrochillesismyshit
He is half my soul, as the poets say.
the way nothing will ever make me feel the way reading the song of achilles made me feel-
Achilles: i am sorry we can't be roomies anymore
Patroclus: is it because i am gay?
Achilles: no its because i am gay
Achilles: and you are very distracting
Achilles took "if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself" a bit too far.
fuck all romances except whatever the fuck that aristos achaion demigod boy and that exiled prince dude in 2000bc Greece had going on
After reading tsoa I almost forgot that Patroclus was actually like this.
Achilles: *acts super gay around Patroclus*
Patroclus: *kisses him*
Achilles:
He is half of my soul, as the poets say.
Re-designing my favourite book covers, this time for a story that has stolen my heart a thousand times, The Song of Achilles.
hello!! i really really like learning about greek mythology but i dont know where to start. i want to know more about the myths and the greek gods and goddesses but im kinda finding it hard to navigate. can you suggest any place on the internet where i can (presumably) start learning? or anything you can suggest, really. thank you so much :)
Hey,
first of all i am so so so sorry since it was probably months ago that you send me this ask...
anyhow honestly, i think wikipedia is a really good source (don’t you believe all that oh it’s not reliable bullshit...), you can look up specific people from mythology and just follow the hyper links. also yt videos some of them are so fun (i would definitely suggest oversarcastic production they have amazing myth summaries)
otherwise Stephen Fry has two books Mythos and Heroes that are really good (and you can get them on zlibrary)
i hope it helps :)))
This and this and this
Have you seen PatroChilles in the Hades game?
what game are we talking about? im so sorry ive been so busy with school i haven’t had much time to look at games but as this probably answers you no i haven’t seen him. do you happen to have a screenshot?
hey! really sorry to bother u, but i have a burning question. i’ve recently read tsoa and my heart is still ✨broken✨ and achilles is great in that, but im just confused as to why people like Iliad Achilles. he seems like a jerk (which is expected) and didn’t he rape briseis? considering she was his slave and probably didn’t wanna sleep with him, im just puzzled as to why people stan him so much, if that even makes sense. sorry for the stupid ask !
no problem, never feel like u are bothering me! my asks are always open!
that’s a very good question that i have asked myself before. as someone that has read the iliad i can absolutely say that Achilles is very problematic in the story and so is the story itself so i think your frustration is very much in place and honestly i agree with you. but from my experience the people are very ignorant to things characters they like do in books and stories, they usually ignore the problematic things saying it was written in a different time but as my teacher always said this things were written in a different times which explains why they were written in the way they were but it does not excuse them and i think that is very important to remember.
i feel like this answer is pointless and i really didn’t answer anything but hopefully you find it helpful?
you know everyone thinks it's so cute when someone wears their Boyfriend's clothes, but the last time Patroclus did that, it didn't end well
