I’m actually trash but like.. cute trash u kno. Gay trash. (He/Him)
Before picture is pre-HRT (testosterone) and pre-weight loss surgery (vertical sleeve gastrectomy/VSG). I was unhappy and struggling with body image, trying and failing to love the body I was born with. Inside I knew I was a man but was too scared to let that show on the outside. I’d tried losing weight multiple times but every time I hit 20kg’s lost, the more of a man I felt like so in denial, I put that same 20kg’s back on plus some more.
During picture, I’m 1 year and 4 months on testosterone and 5 and a half months post sleeve. I’m feeling healthier and a lot more confident in myself. I’m more content with my body. I’m no longer afraid to be me.
Mean muggin’ since 97.

I think a year did good on me. 12 months and 30 lbs later :-)
I took my first shot on February 10th 2016, I skipped my classes and drove to Boystown, Chicago. Now today, being exactly one year later I am freer than ever before. I am currently a month and a few days post-top surgery as well. I shave weekly and I’m looking into undergoing bottom surgery once I finish paying my carecredit expenses. I never truly grasped confidence until now as I hear my voice and see the reflection of the individual I call myself.

Chase Strangio, a staff attorney for the ACLU, is speaking out against Trump’s plan to ban transgender people in the military. (Opinion)
“This is just a tweet. And if the defense department or the Pentagon takes steps to eliminate your rights or to threaten your security, whether in the military, in your employment, in school or elsewhere, we will continue to have your back and fight back with you.”
I know it’s not a comic but I thought that this was important to share with any of my followers, U.S.-based or otherwise, who are scared or concerned about the precedent something like a military ban could set in terms of transgender rights. Stay safe, kids, and know that you’re not alone.
London Gay Clubs: XXL
It was only a short walk from the tube station to the front entrance of the club; but torrential rain ensured I was soaked to the bone. The queue wasn't that long as I had made sure to arrive early. Doing so would give me enough time to map the place out and get comfortable. But not too early, as no one wants to be the guy stood alone by the sidelines as ten other guys wander around.
I had already been ID'd for cigarettes at the local Tesco ( I don't smoke, but I have long ago learned that cigs are good currency at any nightclub, gay or straight ) and even though the bored looking woman at the counter hadn't batted an eyelid at the male name, I still had the fear that I simply didn't look male.
And so I stood in the rain, shuffling forward as each man was checked and allowed in. My heart was pounding so hard I swore it was rattling my ribcage. Every single breath was laboured and borderline painful. I was going to be found out. I was going to be turned away.
It was my turn. I gave the security guard what I hoped was winning smile, but I probably looked like I was about to be sick. My hand shook as I handed over my ID and to my surprise... The security guard briefly looked at my ID, glanced at me and then....
He ushered me inside.

Left top to bottom right - pre t, 1 year on testosterone, 1.5 years on testosterone, 2 years on testosterone, 3 years on testosterone and now almost 3.5 years on testosterone. Honestly? i never thought i’d make it this far but i sure as hell am thankful every single day that i did. I continue to grow not only as man but as a person emotionally and in maturity and it’s the best thing i could of ever asked for. To the kid in the first photo: Thank you for believing in the man i am today.
