Bea Baggins
Bea Baggins of Bag End was not what legends are made of, with her slouching shoulders and smudged whiskey eyes, she should have been a footnote to the good folks of the Shire. She lived her days in the gardens, listening to the whispering gossip of the herbs and trying her best as the only hedge witch of the Shire with little magical knowledge at her disposal. Her nights are filled with blood, oozing, sticky black blood that seeps into her dreams and gets tangled inside of her. So much blood climbing up and choking her, she can barely gasp for air until she awakens to a house much too large and much too quiet for someone so small and afraid.
She lives arguing with flowers during the day and screaming at the moon during night, pleading and bargaining for some sort of measure of peace or at the very least control.
Mad Baggins, is her moniker around the village and this was before Gandalf, the bastard wizard came strolling into her life with chaos and peril interwoven in glimmering strands of his silver scarf. The no good old man still owed her quite a bit of money for that blasted dinner, one more pebble of debt to go into his road of empty promises.
Bea Baggins of Bag End with her nightmares and straw hair should have been sensible. But when a group of men with delicate tattoos that dances up their arms, with raspy voices that speaks a decaying language, and with eyes that gleam like fireflies, come and asks for her help with their mad quest, well what’s an incompetent hedge witch supposed to do?
She hops onto a bus full of rowdy men, to a country that the rest of the world has quite forgotten. A group of men led by a tarnished raven king, who’s hands are still outstretched for stolen brass crowns.
This is the story of how Bea Baggins gets mixed up in a biker gang’s quest for magical vengeance and dragon born ass kicking.
One of the things I resent most about being Animal Brain Apex Predator trapped in Maximum Productivity Society is that I have to work when the weather is gross, instead of following my natural instinct to burrow myself into something dry and soft and sleep until Optimal Foraging Conditions
It is dark and cold and wet and miserable and I have a warm dark quiet hideaway full of food and drinking water that is safe from interlopers and for some ungodly reason instead of holing up there to conserve my energy, I am standing up in a brightly lit beige room for several hours. A possum wouldn't put up with this shit. I'm going to bite someone
inspired by boop day, reblog this post if its ok for people to send you random asks and interact on your posts with no judgement. i want to talk to people.
I remember that I followed you years ago for your writing but had forgotten it as time flew by. Your recent reblog of your old au had me craving for more, just like it did back then. I wanted to know if you had a masterlist or something where I could read it all at once. Or if there was a link where I could devour everything you had. I loved the concept. It's been circling my head on loop for days.
Thank you! I remember you were one of my first followers! And as an socially awkward high school kid with not a lot of confidence in their writing, it always meant so so much to me knowing that somebody liked my silly writing lol. I want to finish my Alice /Peter pan stories cause I had so many ideas tumbling around and I always adored them! Two immortal children, one mad and one curious was always such a fun concept I want to explore. I semi had a master post for the support group concept but I’ll prob make another bigger one and pin it. I’ll add my AO3 link to my bio since that’s my main one I update first
Ok. I know I just sent you something, but I read a fic that was Alice x Peter Pan where Peter and the lost boys were more or less a gang where Peter had Wendy selling drugs and Wendy gets jealous of Alice when Tinkerbell brings her back. And I want to reread it but I can't find it.
Do you happen to know where it is? Unless you weren't the one who wrote it, in which case I have more digging to do.
No worries !! I’ll respond to your other question also, thank you so so much ! https://archiveofourown.org/works/3324236/chapters/7265942
It was me who did wrote it lol. I’m actually going to finish it also!

“I thought this city didn’t have any gods.”
The pigeon grinned a beak full of dog’s teeth. “Ha. They say there aren’t. They even kept most of them out for a while.”
“How did you make it?”
“By being smart. By hiding.”
She gave the one-legged, feral feathered thing a sideways look. “As a pigeon?”
“Sometimes,” said the pigeon. “Sometimes I’m graffiti on a wall. Sometimes I’m a coin dropped in a beggar’s hand. I am neon at night, the rain in the light. I am the song the busker sings. I listen to the prayers of those who come to the city with big dreams.”
“And in return?”
It grinned again. Steam rolled off its feathers, smelling of cigarettes. “I eat their despair.”
“That’s cruel.”
It moved its wings in something like a shrug. “That’s the big city for you.”
I honestly and truly believe all good AUs should be a little “”””ooc”””” in the sense that good characterisation involves understanding that changes a characters backstory and circumstances will have an effect on how they respond to the world around them
Good characterisation isn’t about creating a perfect 1:1 canon replica it’s about understanding why a character is different in your work and about grounding the changes you do deliberately choose to make in canon character traits
This is vital. It's very similar to canon divergent. If you change things bit everyone ends up at the same place, you've missed the mark.
Meet Alice
Alice Kingsleigh meets the support group when she’s ten. She’s small for her age, dressed in an oversize, frilly dress, her hair in golden ringlets. There’s nothing wrong with Alice, everyone is just jealous. She got to experience another world. She danced with jittery rabbits and had tea with the Red Queen. It was magical and impossible. Two of Alice’s favorite things.
But when she was found in those woods, covered in dirt and blood, well grownups don’t like to hear talk of crooning roses and grinning cats. Alice was missing for a month. Alice was put to bed while her parents had their annual gala but when her nanny went to check on her, she was gone. There was nothing, just an empty bed and open window.
For Alice, that month was Wonderland but to the rest of the world, she’s a little girl who’s mind is shattered. That’s where the support group comes in. A group of other broken kids. A place where they can share their madness in hopes that it will snap them out of their delusions. It does the opposite. It sets Alice free.
She’s quiet at first but then she hears Peter talk about Neverland and the fairies. He’s so confident about it, always grinning even as his nasty therapist, James, tries to belittle him, tries to make Peter grow up.
She sees the way that Calvin gingerly sets Hobbes besides him, the way that he trails off in mid-sentence, head cocked to the side as if he’s listening to someone.
She sees how shy Christopher Robin comes alive when he is talking about Pooh, that silly old bear. How he smiles more and laughs more when he’s hugging his beloved stuffed animals.
These boys are considered to be misfits, lost boys on the outskirts of polite society with their ravings but to Alice, they’re perfect. And they’re also hers. Her best friends and knights. She has tea parties with Christopher. Sword fights with Peter. Dance challenges with Calvin. They grow up together, each of them learning to conceal their true selves.

“People are inherently terrible” no!!! Have you ever seen a child wait for their friend while they tie their shoelaces? Have you ever known someone who would bring hurt squirrels and rabbits and mice to the nearest vet just so it doesn’t suffer? Have you seen someone grieve? Have you ever read something that hit your heart like a freight train? Have you looked at the stars and felt an unexplainable joy? Have you ever baked bread? Have you shared a meal with a friend? Have you not seen it? All the love? All the good? I know it’s hard to see sometimes, I know there’s pain everywhere. But look, there’s a child helping another up after a hard fall. Look, there’s someone giving their umbrella to a stranger. Look, there’s someone admiring the spring flowers. Look, there’s good, there’s good, there’s good. Look!!!!

I am writing a series of one shots featuring Louise and her friends as the arrival of pesky romantic feelings complicates things. Featuring the Pesto twins in all their chaotic glory. I will always credit @tallgirl14 for inspiring me with her incredible bobs burgers art !
Shipping is such a multilayered thing too.
You can ship characters for happily ever afters, sure, you can ship them for tragically-then-happily, you can ship two or three or four or more, you can ship endless combinations of personality types and relationship dynamics
but you can also ship characters under very specific circumstances, or for a certain period of their life but not for all of it, or only in a certain universe. You might say “I ship these characters” and what you mean is you think they are fascinating together and could have a story together. That story could be any kind of story.
Sometimes it means you want them together for the rest of their lives. Sometimes it means something different than that.
I don’t know about you, but for me, “I ship it” means “There is a story in this ship and I am interested in that story.”
for me, “I ship it” means “There is a story in this ship and I am interested in that story.”
Thank you for articulating this. Yes. Exactly.
gambling with angels is easy. they can't lie but they have addictive personalities; it's easy to clean them out then make them divulge secrets about the business of heaven to call your bets. my dad used to say "hey, watch this" and summon angels to play poker with him with a sort of bone flute he inherited from his grandpa, and they'd be holding horseshit and still want to call him. i'm talking "raise on a two pair" level bad at it, but they couldn't stop trying to win. my dad taught me all the secret names of God before i was out of grade school and i would use them to curse my enemies so they came down with leprosy. you can cure leprosy these days but it still sucks, especially for a child. but they had it coming for pissing me off
If any of my mutuals play overwatch hit me up 👀 I’m always looking for folks to play with ! I offer mediocre support play and dinosaur facts !
