That bit, when Aziraphale tries to make out where the hell his yet another vessel happens to be and makes inquires in random foreign lingos and then there is Chinese
and this little angel just says 'I can't speak Chinese' in Chinese in lieu of asking if anybody around speaks said particular language?
It's legendary.
an: And yes, I do know, that it's Terry and Neil who were responsible for this typo and found out about it only after the book was published, but tbh that even makes it sound funnier to me :D
Why do you think it was a typo? I thought it was funny...
What edition is the âFranraisâ in? This is the correct text:
And âfranraisâ is definitely a typo. And the Chinese âI canât speak Chineseâ is definitely not.
The errant '7' looks like what happens when someone scans a book and the OCR doesn't work quite right which means....
OP sent a screenshot of a pirated copy of a book to the author.
@jessikast @neil-gaiman
Wow. Umm... I guess, there's a chance, that I accidentally might have. See, I couldn't quite afford the book myself (didn't find it on the shelves of local bookstores, and the principles of how online-shopping works are still a mystery for me), therefore asked if my friend with a digital copy could lend it to me (Can sharing an e-book with some really close friends truly be counted as such a violation of the law?). So they sent me this. I'm not saying, that this isn't my fault, but I think it could've happened to anyone, if I'm being honest. This doesn't help my embarassment, so I'm deeply sorry.
