WHILE THE CLUB NEARED ITS CLOSING time, sophia busied herself with preparing her departure. it wasn’t often these days that she stayed till closing hours, but today was different due to many complications with guests who weren’t upholding the rules of the club and people not showing up. the busy day made her head ache and make her feel worn down. rubbing her temples softly, sophia could hear someone enter her office, a familair face popping in. “ christopher !! what are you doing here ?? ” surprise settled in her features, before getting her posture back in shape.
after his confrontation with isla, chris had been avoiding going home. but, this was unknowingly. he didn’t care to admit this aloud, or to himself. and it certainly showed in other ways. even if this club was now run in and out by his elder brother, that didn’t stop chris from showing up to what would always be seen as his father’s place. it also meant that he’d sure as hell enjoy the hell out of having his fun; within the place, and the people in it. a specific manager in particular. “yeah, good to see you too, babe-” he responded to her jokingly, taking that step inside her office without any further qualms.
Watching him she felt her face turn red as he clearly dismissed her. Was this some sort of test? “You know.. typically the waitresses and bartenders handle the whole.. getting a drink situation.” she said as she watching him curiously.
It was now apparent that she had no idea who he was, nor the fact that he’d been working here nearly 10 years ago. he knew the ropes, and she had no clue. not any at all. (well, from his point of view, anyway) christopher found it amusing, to say the least. “is that how it goes?” he remarked in a pretend-naive tone. “and you would be...” christopher pointed his index finger at her, narrowing his eyes playfully, “the... waitress?” he stated as if guessing.
angel couldn’t help but laugh softly when she saw the dirty look one of the other customers gave him. she knew full well who he was. she knew who both siblings were. not that she’d ever talked to them before. “i don’t think he was very happy about that,” she said, a tone of playfulness.
he looked up to match the face to the voice. he’d be lying if he’d said the first thing he noticed was that he liked what he said. but, chris had to remember that it wasn’t as easy as playing catnip to women in this scene. anywhere on the west coast, at least. of course, he surely knew how to play the game. “Some people’re too uptight-” he replied back with the same high spirits, smiling between her and the customer who had obviously overheard their open conversation. he kept the bottle in hand, raising it her way. “another round?”
Caught off guard as someone brushed past her to go behind the bar Tori looked around, no one else seemed to even notice him. Biting her lip she wondered if she should speak up, she was still new after all. “I uh.. did you need a hand sir?” she asked cautiously.
he could feel the woman’s eyes weighing heavy on him, but continued to pour a refill in his glass anyway. “nah.” chris said half dismissively, now looking up as he finished putting the bottle stopper cap back. ”appreciate the offer, though.”
the longer she stayed in the car the more awkward it would be to see him again. she knew that which is why she only hesitated for a few moments, but at least one moment too long. what was she supposed to say to her younger brother after all these years? did he have anything to say to her? she couldn’t have predicted chris’ reaction to her and mickey’s toxic affair, though she had expected a negative reaction. it was an incredibly complicated situation now so she couldn’t blame him if he was still mad at her. only one way to find out. she exits the car slowly, building up her courage in the time it takes her to make her way over to him. the last time they saw each other they’d left their relationship in ruins, but for some reason seeing him again made the corners of her lips twitch up a bit in a warm smile despite it all. it only lasted for a second, but still. ❝ hey chris. ❞ maybe speaking his name out loud made it real but she grew very nervous after that, her hands wringing as she tries to think of what to say. she’d like to hug him, honestly. it’s been years and she suddenly feels very guilty for having missed out on so much of his life. but how could she ever possibly put that into words? ❝ long time no see, ❞ she finishes lamely, unable to think of anything original to say to someone who she’d once been so close to and was now seemingly a stranger.
ever since returning to his family home, he’d been on edge - to say the least. it had only been 3 days and chris had already faced lola, but she was no doubt the easiest of them. mickey was surprisingly second, in term of easy to hard. he’d been merely passive aggressive towards his brother, not really confronting the situation, and would leave it that way, because he knew it was the only honest thing that they’d share mutually. a stubborn attitude. but, it was just then, when the headlights came into view that he’d looked up to see the one sibling that was hardest to face of them all; isla. he froze when realizing it was her, and even more so when their eyes locked. it had been 9 years, and he realized that he hadn’t gotten over what happened. not even a little. when she got out, he still stood there trying to compose himself. but deep down, part of him was shaken with fear. this was too weird. it was in that moment he’d realized the past 9 years on the east coast had been his attempt at avoiding the confrontation of witnessing what happened between mickey and isla. it was his escape from reality, and now, things just got very real.
“I didn’t know you were still living here-” he assumed as much, being that he’d only been here for three days; two of which hadn’t been spent at the family house. needless to say, chris wasn’t too caught up on the family dynamics, and who lived where, or who spoke to who. it was all up in the air, and he was left to piece everything together. “i just got in a couple days ago.” he awkwardly participated along. chris had approached his siblings all very differently. lola, with an apologetic attitude, mickey, with passive aggressive-ness, and now isla? somewhat...timidly. he cared for his stepsister in a way that made it easier to completely dump all the anger out on mickey, but not her. as unfair as that was, it’s what came natural to him. but, it wasn’t like he was ready to be all hunky dory with her either.
seeing him was unexpected to say the least. filled with a rush of emotions she wasn’t quite sure how to decipher, his words prompted a bit of anger within the girl, her hand reaching out to shove his shoulder roughly. “ because you took off ! ” she shot back. “ fucking jerk, ” she muttered, unable to keep herself from wrapping her arms around him into a hug and resting her head against his chest. “ i fuckin’ missed you. ”
He knew that this wasn’t the best way to spark a reunion. But, it’d been 9 years since stepping foot in the family home, and he’d sort of just shown up at the club on a whim. Christopher never was the one that thought things through. Impulsive as ever. But, that’s what he and his family members all shared, wasn’t it? He was speechless for a moment, only to relax an ease into the hug that she had offered. “I know-” he admitted, wrapping either arm around her. This was nice. Though they had gone many years apart, being back in place had made him feel like himself again. In a way that he he obviously hadn’t felt since before their Father passed. “I missed you too, L...” Stepping back, he had taken quick notice of the year’s passing changes. “You’ve really grown up, huh?” Chris commented open endedly. “I’ll tell you all about it, but first-” he said, raising a finger. “What d’ya say to me buying you your first drink?” Chris offered with a loose shrug. He’d left at 20, before he or his sister had been legally old enough to actually go to a bar and celebrate the whole being 21 thing. “Just a couple years late on the party-”
Christopher hadn’t seen any of his siblings since their Father passed. He’d lived throughout his 20s on the east coast, out of sight, out of mind. Just as there were so many chapters his family had missed out on, there were bound to me just as many for him to catch up on in vice versa. So, needless to say - he’d been caught off guard completely, when turning to find that it was his sister whose eyes were weighing on him. Chris turned away from the girl he’d been engaging in pointless conversation with, speechless for just that moment. “Long time-” the elder brother began, now turning back to the girl, excusing himself as he stood up to greet his long estranged sister.
“`scuse me-” he said, cutting in on the other person to grab at the bottle behind the bar. there was a certain air to him, a confidence. some knew who he was, and others? well, they’d find out in due time.
marcy’s head breaks the surface of the water as she comes up for air, hair going behind her. when her eyes open and blink the blurriness away, she’s startled when she sees she’s not alone anymore. “oh sorry, I didn’t think—- nobody ever uses the pool this late.”
he looked up from the pool bar, blatantly helping himself to the top shelf stuff. “no, you’re fine-” he brushed it off, pouring the vodka directly into the glass; neat. “that’s kinda the point- for me, at least.” with that, he raised his glass to her. “want one?”
“you work for ME. got that? when I say something needs to be done, make sure it gets done.” as mad as he is, his facial features barely move. he very rarely snaps like this, but with a DEA threat, he can’t afford any mishaps.
chris had no qualms about showing back up into his family’s life. he especially had none about walking into hypnotic like he owned the place. or, chiming in at the wrong time. “trouble in paradise?” he added, just a moment after witnessing the encounter between his elder brother and an insubordinate.

HISTORY
For the greater part of his life, Christopher and his family have lived inside the glamorous walls of America’s favorite playground; Sin City. By the time Chris turned 16, he began reaping all the rewards of his Father’s work, without any of the busy, larger responsibilities. Meaning, that he became familiar with the perks of his Father’s lifestyle. It first started with his low level management at the sultry bar and lounge scene (not the after hours, late into the wee of the night) From management and bartending, his Father introduced him to the hidden gems that kept the club humming. Chris learned a lot about the business, and tricks of the trade, but mostly kept to himself about the innovative ideas he took from it.
Around the age of 19, it soon became apparent that no one was around. Mickey was nowhere to be found, Isla had gone off and done her own thing, and even Lola at that point had begun to slip into bad crowds. With no Mother either, his Father was all he had at this point in his life. A strange point.
When his Father passed at age 20, everything changed. Chris had gotten involved with a girl who had her own grandiose connections in Miami Beach. By the help of his trust fund inheritance, Chris had the means to split. Which is all he wanted to do at that point. He up and moved, impulsively, almost, and had gotten into his own new life for a couple years. He spent most of his 20s up and down the east coast, out of touch with family. It’s almost like he wanted to build a new sense of family through the friendships he made on the east coast. Chris definitely has been the type to float around, and has gone through several different chapters. He switches his friend group and main scene more often than the average person, and finds that he’s not likely to stay in one place. It’s one of the many things that separates him from his Father and elder brother. Also another reason he’s never had any interest in taking over the family business, despite what most would presume.
Unlike his Father and older brother, Chris had stayed out of the organized crime life. He is a free floater, and likes having the freedom to not stay grounded to one thing. Even the idea of marriage is a foreign concept for him. But, like his Father, he has engaged in more than enough of his share of under the table, unethical, questionably moral deals and investments. All of which has been built from his trust fund money. Now at age 29, in true to form, Chris has made the decision to return home, after almost a decade spent on the other side of the country. His reasons? Still yet to surface
It’s ironic that Christopher has returned to his family’s scene at age 29 - considering, 29 was the very age that his older brother Mickey had been when entering this lifestyle.
PERSONALITY
Chris quickly adapted to this life, inevitably showing he was easy, and natural in dark waters. His fierce and undying loyalty to his Father, and the people he cares about is the very core of what makes him, him. Despite that he isn’t all that morally conscious, his family is everything to him because it’s pretty much all he has that roots him to reality.
Of all the siblings, he is somewhat the most free spirited.
