A long voyage at sea
Starting a new expansion and the end of a 10-year storyline, I felt like going back to Chloe’s beach bum roots. This (OK, minus a couple jewelry pieces, sue me :P) was her newbie glamour from the moment she could actually afford glamours and bought the summer sandals. The rest is free or dirt cheap, lol.
Sure, I’ve got fancier ones now, but this one is still one of the most “her” to me. :)

I just finally sat down and fully read the story AP recently ran about a priest and have the heebie jeebies. After talking it over with my fellow Catholic school husband, here’s a lighter shared memory to cleanse my palate. I was that tomboy who wore the jumper uniform and did handstands with my undies showing and played tackle football. The nuns tried to explain to me a few times why this is not socially appropriate, but I remember my late bloomer self being puzzled over why I shouldn’t play football, and they clearly decided to let me figure out why you might not want to be showing your undershorts repeatedly for myself. Bonus is my husband with 5+ years on me — and I barely knew who he was then — remembering laughing at a kid doing those things. 🙃

Glint’s Lair with L’Ete Reshade`

L’Ete: “Watercolour” Reshade release
So it’s far from perfect and probably has very limited broad appeal, but I slapped V1 of my “watercolour” style Reshade preset for GW2 up here if anyone is interested in trying it.
Continuing to tweak this Reshade preset so probably doesn’t look exactly like these screenies anymore, but close. I liked ‘em anyways, so here they are :B
Trying to get the nights to be a bit darker within Reshade’s constraints. Then again, GW2 nights are so bright, it doesn’t bother me too much.
Derping around on a dummy account in GW2 (trying to recover old one, it’s lol) to have a go at doing a “watercolour” Reshade preset similar to the ENB preset I did for Fallout 4 based on PRC.
Still needs tweaking and this one is a lot warmer than the other; kinda liking that though. Maybe I’ll do two versions based on mood, that’s an easy adjustment.

Just had the urge to play with creating presets again. Can’t seem to get the UI mask function working but I think it’s still very playable.

Eh they can lie to you. I’m often glad they can. I want them to lie to the Unibomber or <insert evil here>.
Some of them, like all humanity, are total shit birds. But there’s also that guy who tolerated me lying to his face in college (underage drinking, house party, noise complaint, I legally could drink so answered the door) and he 100 percent knew I was lying, sighed, and politely asked me to ask everyone else to keep it down.
Pegging a whole group — be it based on profession, skin colour, religion, nation of origin or whatever else — is being part of exactly the thing this movement purports to oppose.
Don’t get me wrong. I 100 percent suppport people knowing their rights. I just ... this hate based on an easy label without analysis?
This is not who we are supposed to be.
Ugh, ok. I didn’t want to have to say this, but… I keep seeing those cheeky posts going around like “Tee hee, I sure hope no protesters know that-” or “It would be a shame if anyone were to-”
Guys, PLEASE STOP SPREADING THOSE. Those posts are going to get someone hurt.
You should NOT trust unverified advice from strangers on the internet. Honestly, some of the advice I’ve seen is so bad I almost have to wonder if it was created by plants to try to get people hurt. Speaking as someone who’s involved in multiple martial arts, improper self-defense techniques will get you hurt; Speaking as someone who is familiar with plywood, it ain’t going to do shit to block a heavy projectile and WILL fill you with horrible splinters. Unless you know for certain advice is trustworthy, you should be neither listening to nor spreading it.
If you see any attempt at combat or self-defense advice online, you should ask yourself:
Who is posting it?
What are their qualifications?
Where did they get this information?
Is it being explained in a clear, detailed, and easy-to-understand manner?
What are the precautions? How might this go wrong?
If you don’t have good answers to these questions, then it’s bad advice and should not be followed or spread. Sure, maybe some of it might be genuinely good advice- But it might not be, and unless you know for sure, then it’s far better to err on the side of caution than to risk getting hurt.
Be safe, be smart, and always check your sources.

Got to spend an evening with the aunt I love like a mom and the one I hadn’t seen since Christmas. Routinely squabble with the latter. No doubt still will. 🙂 She still asked to see me if I could make it out and I know I could still call her at 4 a.m. in an emergency.
And she’d come. And I love her very much.
We just talked and laughed for a couple of hours. Nothing fancy. And it cheered me up immeasurably.
Maybe I had forgotten what really matters.

Had the aunt who I don’t n’t get along with often due to personalities — we squabble often, but end of the one either of us would get up any hour for an SOS — She hadn’been in town since Christmas and asked me to visit if I could. Wonderful visit. Even if we argue next time :)
