A lot of my friends don’t understand my love for Harry Potter anymore, they all tell me I should have grown out of it by now. But I’ve grown up with Harry Potter. My role model was Hermione Granger, and now its Emma Watson. When I was in a car crash, the first thing my Dad did was pull out some chocolate and go “Remember what Professor Lupin said.” Harry Potter wasn’t a phase for me, it was and is my life. It helped shape who I am today.

Waiting is hard
I am awaiting the email to see if I get the puppy! This is very hard to do because I just want to know if I get a puppy! I'm so excited to start this adventure I just wish I knew if I actually get to start it! Hopefully soon this week I'll know.
Introduction
Hello! This blog is all about my journey training a Paws with a Cause dog. I should first start with my name and then explain what Paws with a Cause is. I am Gretchen Pyscher and am currently a second-year student at Grand Valley State University. Paws with a Cause is a nonprofit Michigan based organization that trains and then gives dogs to people who may have special needs. They have volunteers train their dogs for the first year to sixteen months. Soon I will set up a way to donate money for this great organization but for now I’ll just attach the link for the website at the bottom of this post. The reason I am pursuing to get a puppy from Paws is to not only learn how to train a puppy to be a service dog but also help raise awareness and money for the organization in my school and community to fulfill my senior honors project. I think it is a great way for me to accomplish my project as well as love and prepare a puppy so that someone else can get the care they may need. I just applied for a puppy today so I will keep you all posted on how my application goes with Paws! -Gretchen https://www.pawswithacause.org/
