Next to hissing roaches, Dubia roaches are just my favourite little guys. And now the weather seems to have cooled a little in the uk it’s still wise just to keep an eye on your little ones for the next few days. With record temperatures hitting the uk yesterday, people and animals both suffered. With weather as hot as it was yesterday that being 39°C it quite possible is best to keep dogs and cats (if that’s possible) in your house or in a cool shaded area in the garden, be very cautious of taking your dogs for a walk when it gets this hot, prolonged exposure can lead to heatstroke and organ failure. Hot weather

Please remember during this hot weather, keep your animals cool, don’t leave animals in hot cars, even with the windows cracked temperatures can still reach a deadly level.

Make sure fresh water is always available.

Those of you with vivariums, please monitor the temperature inside the enclosure, as temperatures rise outside so does the temperatures inside vivariums.

Always make sure you use thermostat controls so heating will shut itself off if it gets to hot.
