Finally getting to my Marisa HCs!! strap in, my lads:
- She comes off pretty strong and acts like a smug and snide jerk at first, but once you get to know her it’s pretty much a front she puts up. (quote: “Gotta show them that im no one to push around”)
-She’s cool, laid-back and gets excited when something piques her interest (ie: magic and strange knick-knacks), but most of the time she acts, mischievous, slightly reserved and uninterested (to the point she’ll get mad that nothing is happening)
-Although she might act like a punk who doesn't give a care about the world, deeply she’s very caring to Gensokyo and those around her.
-When conversating with her (especially if it’s about magic), she’ll slip in some quotes from books she’s read. She’ll only do this when you’re engaging in a long, meaningful convo though (quote: “only weirdos quote books at every given second”)
-Around friends, she likes to joke around, saying playful insults and pranking them a little. She can be very serious around them when she needs to.
-Around someone she likes, she’ll become protective over them (but will outright deny it when it’s brought up) but they’ll still treat them like how she treats her friends (she’ll even joke around more with them). She becomes cooler that usual around them though and it’s hilarious to watch her be greasy.
-She’s an ambivert!! She likes meeting new people but at the same time she much rather do her own thing in a secluded space. She surprisingly values her privacy alot.
-She struggles with self image (hence her carefree and cool front) and does alot of thinking to herself, hence sometimes she’ll need alone time to sort herself out. She can get easily overwhelmed and is not the best at sorting out her own emotions.
- She also holds alot of regret and resentment from her past and tries very hard to forget about it (especially her birth family)
[Sometimes, i’ll HC that Mima presumingly (or did) die during the events of MS, hence I’ll also HC that Marisa thinks it’s her fault that Mima didn't survive. Marisa calls herself weak for not being able to save her and is still very much affected by the event, no matter how much she tries to deny it.]
-DEFINATELY a lesbian (Although, she’s truly a demi-lesbian. She’ll flirt with girls but will keep herself reserved unless it’s “the one”)
-She short and she doesn't like that one bit. Her footwear is mostly made up of high-heeled boots or platformed shoes. She REFUSES to be the shortest one among the group.
-She’s a great big sister figure!!! Even though she says she rather not stick with the younger folk, she does a great job at playing around and taking care of them. (This has lead to her off-days being...…hectic, to say at the very least. Does she regret engaging with them? kinda)
-She’s absolutely a fashionista and will not admit it.
-Highly intelligent. She may not have an advantage over the enemy most of the time but gosh darn is she good at outsmarting them and using her burst of energy at the right moment.
-Speaking about energy.....she’s really good at concentrating her magic powers. (provided she’ll be super exhausted at the end of the fight)
-She use to be a thief but has since retired from being one. She’s still has a good chunk of books she hasn’t returned yet, though.
