Inktober Collography: made with coffee beans!
Inktober 9 Two friends, drawn from a suggestion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Inktober 8 Just quick lines. Features drawn from pictures of Michelangelo's /David/
Inktober 6&7 Box head
Inktober day 5 Reductive process continues! Key block print, tonal, and finished print. I might try a different shape for the final layers of the warmer prints, but some of them are done at this point.
Inktober day 4? Brush markers are all I have time for today. Here are a couple of drawings of sleepy boy
Inktober day 3! Made a really bad print then a graphic based off the print! Using it as a cover for a birthday card tomorrow :)
Inktober day 2! Continuing with the reductive prints. Today I had to remove the lettering and tomorrow I'll have to remove the face. Learning a lot :)
Starting inktober strong with 15 preliminary prints, first time trying a reductive method so I'm excited to keep working on them tomorrow :)
portrait for rgd trying to emulate a Disney style of figure and lighting for the weekly theme the process is similar to what I normally do:
line / gesture
flats
form with dynamic lighting (direct, occluded, SSS, and bounce)
background, effects (just the leaves really), and finishing adjustment layers
portraits for rgd my focuses for these pieces in order:
limited value range, brush economy, lost edges
composition and atmosphere
shape and proportion
portraits for rgd
thumbnails of compositions through balance and rhythm
portraits and compositions for rgd
thumbnails of compositions through value-grouping
some original compositions, definitely over-relying on geometry
