“never is. i’m trapped, spider- there’s just nothing i can do about it until it’s all over and done for. and i dunno about you but i kind of like staying alive. let’s face it, you’d be bored without me,” she coos, moving her hands up to roll his mask up enough to expose his lips to her. “you’re the friendly neighborhood spiderman, of course it’s squeaky clean.” felicia grins as she leans in close enough to brush her lips against his, just barely ghosting them. “but i can think of a few different ways we can get it a little dirty.” but before she can go in to kiss him, he’s rambling on about hurting people’s businesses. and then he’s bringing up it her store and felicia freezes for a moment, fingers dancing along his shoulders for a moment. she decides to roll his mask back down and lets out a soft sigh, taking a step back to put some space between them. “that’s where you always misunderstand me, spider. i don’t steal from normal, hardworking folk — i steal from the rich. all those prissy, arrogant, new york socialites who hoard wealth, who literally do nothing of use with everything they have. they can afford to have some valuable paintings go missing.” she’s turning away from him, making her way back towards the edge of the rooftop. it was always the same song and dance with him; her making her own way through the world and him trying to convince her to be a goody-two shoes. she needed to survive and their moralities didn’t necessarily always align. “i’ve gotta say, lover — sounding like an after-school special really kills the mood.”
“well then... what are we waiting for?” he watches the girl intently for a moment, smirking as her lips brush lightly against his own. it really was always a game of cat and mouse with felicia. his words clearly struck a nerve within black cat. the girl puts some decent space between them. a simple sigh crosses spidey’s lip, frustrated that the friendly neighborhood spider-man had to go and ruin the mood. “look fe-black cat. it doesn’t matter how you rationalize what you do, stealing is stealing.” while peter normally prided himself on living by his core set of values, it was really harshing tonight’s vibe. “i’m not trying make you watch a bunch of d.a.r.e videos. i’m just saying... maybe, doing the right thing for a change wouldn’t hurt?” he closed the space between them, hoping to gain back a little ground. “if you won’t do it for your friendly neighborhood spider-man, do it for yourself. ya know... we’d make one hell of a duo, you and i. we could be like the great value avengers or something.”
