It's ridiculous. Yoongi thinks. It's not like he's demanding.... Or expecting something grand. But he did hoped for something. Afterall, last year was so extra. The video was an overkill. Making their fans yell in excitement because, wow did Jungkook just said he wants Min yoongi?
To be honest, it was the highlight of yoongi's birthday last year. Not because it was made by his boyfriend but because it was so funny. Their memebers reactions, even Bang pdnim's reaction are all priceless. Namjoon's reaction was the best, yoongi would empty his bank account to see that again. Namjoon was in between of being proud of Jungkook for doing something bold like that for Yoongi, his two months boyfriend at that time after pining for years, but at the same time strangle him for being so bold for almost announcing to the world their supposedly secret relationship.
So you can't blame him if Yoongi was expecting something as loud as that.
But no. Instead, he received a couple of wacky pictures not even signed with Jungkook's name OR a single happy birthday posted in their shared twitter account. He's not disappointed. No. Maybe, sad, a little bit. But again, you can't blame.
He doesn't even want something like last year, he just wants maybe a simple kiss, or hug, or just a simple "happy birthday, hyung" from his birthday. Damn he would get a pat from him at this point. But no, he's here, in the studio, with someone who is not Jungkook.
"Hyung" Taehyung whined like the baby he is, and it looks so adorable even if Yoongi is thinking miles away he gave his attention to his donsaeng, because why not.
"You're not listening to me" He pouted and Yoongi sighed. He likes that Taehyung's here. Taehyung is like his baby brother, maybe closest to him after his boyfriend Jungkook and bestfriend of more than eights year Namjoon.
"I am, Tae. You were talking about how marshmallows feel when being burned for smores" Taehyung beamed at him then.
"But, it's late, Tae. You ready to go back to dorm?" He asked. He was supposed to be home before midnight. But Taehyung insisted to stay. He doesn't know why because the kid won't tell him but he still agreed anyway. Weak for all of his members easy requests. Taehyung frowned and looked at his phone as if expecting something before looking back at Yoongi with a puppy eyes.
Yoongi groaned. Everyone in BTS knows he's really weak for the maknae line's puppy eyes, it sometimes extends to Hobi at times.
"But hyuuuuuung" he wasn't able to continue his whining when they suddenly heard Hobi's and namjoon's laughter and suddent happy birthday outside the door.
Is that a cake? Yep, it's a cake. Yoongi sighed. No wonder his boyfriend is so extra, the people who raised him are too.
(if he was touched, and his cheeks are blushing when they eat the cake at the studio, no one has to know)
They returned to the dorm at almost 2 in the morning. Yoongi was honestly having fun then, even as he thinks of Jungkook at the dorm, he's happy joon and hobi and tae are in his studio having a mini celebration with him. But it ended when Taehyung abruptly stood up after checking his phone and loudly announcing that it's late and "come on, come on, hyung. Faster. Home". They all have no choice but to agree because he's not the only one who's weak for the maknae line.
What he didn't expect is Taehyung suddenly grabbing namjoon and Hoseok before they can even open the dorm to their big ass dorm and saying there are places they have to be. At 2 in the fucking am. And all Yoongi can think is, "what the fuck?". And it looked like Namjoon is thinking the same thing as they are dragged by outside.
For who knows how many time that night, or morning, Yoongi sighed. Honestly too tired to think of anything but sleep beside Jungkook and chide him tomorrow for his shitty tweet greeting.
What welcomed him though is in another level of extraness.
There, in their big ass living room, is Jungkook sitting on what looked like to be pulled out matresses, surrounded with a lot of pillows (Yoongi can see his), under the blanket fort with a variety of lavender (his favorite) scented candles lit around. The coffee table was pushed to the side, as well as the long couches so the blanket fort is HUGE.IT IS HUGE. Enough for the seven of them to have picnic inside.
"Kook?" he whispered. Not actually knowing what to say because he actually expected him to be asleep already.
"Happy birthday, hyung" And there it is. The wide bunny smile, stars in his eyes, and the soft, soft voice of Jungkook wishing him happy birthday. He suddenly feels full of love. From this boy, for this boy. He doesn't know. But his heart is over in his throat wanting to show itself to Jungkook. He was silent. Looking around, taking everything. From his beautiful boyfriend, to the beautiful fort his boyfriend probably built. Because when is he not so extra. He shouldn't have doubted.
"Hyung? Do you like it?" Jungkook's smile wavered, and he looked down shyly in his lap. And Yoongi wanted to laugh because not liking it would be a very hard thing to do.
"Baby...I love it" he breathed, wanting nothing but to go right there and hug the hell out of his boyfriend. And he can. So he did. Toeing off his shoes, throwing away his bag, and settling beside Jungkook. Who immediately crawled on his lap. Jungkook might be bigger than him, but somehow, Yoongi is heavier. Especially these fast few months where Jungkook seemed to be intent on not having big ass muscles anymore.
"You have been so stressed lately, hyung. And I want to take you somewhere where you can relax. But, we can't go out" jungkook frowned at that before continuing "so I just... Jin hyung and Jimin hyung helped me" He said, playing with the hem of his white shirt. Not looking at Yoongi even though they are just inches away. Yoongi took his hands and kissed each, before wrapping his arms around Jungkook.
"Thank you, baby. But you didn't have to do this" He said, kissing jungkook's cheeks which is really red. He's so adorable. Yoongi's heart hurts.
"I know. I just want to." Jungkook looked at him shyly and yoongi can't help but peck him on the lips.
"I love it. I love you. Thank you for your gift, baby" He whispered.
"It's not my gift though" Jungkook smiled at him, and oh god, Yoongi love this boy to the core.
Needless to say, Yoongi had a very beautiful night with a beautiful boy in his arms in their beautiful fort.
"wait... Is this the reason Taehyung won't let ne leave the studio earlier?" He asked, and Jungkook beamed at him.
"they're on a hotel now. And they'd be here tomorrow to properly celebrate with you, hyung. I just asked for this night" Jungkook said, his still naked body curling more into yoongi's. Yoongi chuckled. Heart and soul felt so full of fondness from all the effort his boyfriend went through just for his birthday.
"How am I gonna top this on your birthday?" Yoongi suddenly groaned and Jungkook let out a small, breathy laugh.
"You have months to think, hyung"
"brat" he muttered before kissing Jungkook senseless.
(and if they had round two, and three, and four, no one has to know).
