Just saw the new Spider-Man movie trailer and here’s a list of things I put into MY Peter’s backstory that kind of matched

Peter knowing the Punisher

Peter bumping into ninjas (I was just referencing iron fist through them)

Peter being depressed, lonely, and broke (AND going through all kinds of shit)

Okay guys, I’ve taken my sweet time (4 months is crazy ngl) and honestly? I’m considering dropping ch14 and go into another hiatus (knowing me) but during this hiatus I will try to complete the rest of the chapters I was cooking up sooo let’s see if any of you can decide for yourselves!

I cannot make this up, I ALREADY MADE MY OWN VERSION FOR MY FIC!! It’s a bit of a different concept bc overwatch doesn’t exist in my universe BUT STILL

HELP WHAT DO I DO? Change the concept to better match DC Allies or keep it? OR REMOVE IT ENTIRELY

Tbf tho it’s only mentioned in passing but it’s still lowkey important???? ITS LITERALLY IN CH14 HELP

Oh and for the non gamers who don’t know, Overwatch and Marvel Rivals exist as hero themed player vs player games right? So someone ELSE had the splendid idea to make a fanon version for DC and make memes to pretend it exists and it’s called DC Allies

I made my version back in fall 2025 so…. It makes me sad bc I’ve been on writers block and unable to release ch14 until I finish the rest of the drafts, now it’ll look like I copied the meme fresh from the fandom

Let me break away from my own fic to get my two cents on Danny x Tim hear me out! I expect most of yall to recognise this is dpxdc short for Danny Phantom x Detective Comics moreso batfam crossover so if you’re not interested then scroll away.

Okay so I was reading The Gothic Haunting of Tim Drake-Wayne by EchoMikeMike22 (Emmalie22)

And I was listening to Halloween IV: Possess Me by Ashnikko

I cannot shake off the idea of Danny and Tim just matching the essence of this song sooooo much, dissect the lyrics with me okay?

“I hope you didn't see me, see me unhinging my jaw

Don't be scared, do not run

I need you to be patient with me, I'm no angel dove (dove)”

Danny being scared of being inhuman, (unhinged jaw) and wishes for Tim to not be scared of him. He’s no angel dove, he is the afterlife itself, the balance between living and death.

“Possess me, lightweight Lexapro, affect me

Exorcism sexy, wet leaves and fresh meat

Connecting wet swamp sex sounds to set scene

Hex me, dissect me, swords out, protect thee (possess)”

In this fic Tim is a switch, so he is seen topping and Danny finally have someone to take the lead, unafraid, and willing to use Danny. Or as I see it, he wants Tim to have power over him bc his entire being is sovereign over the balance. Literally NOTHING to check his power. So Tim is there, to be the influence that power checks him.

“Lick it, lock it, diva demonic

I might scheme and plot it, the veil is thinning tonight

Hedonic, okay, gossip (gossip, gossip, gossip...)

I want it, oh, my, you're the creature I like (ooh)”

This is Tim, he seeks the knowledge of the afterlife, he seeks to right the wrongs of the justice league. And he seeks to do right by Danny. To love him the right way.

“Labyrinthine libido

Find me peep show, teach me how to love like people

Pierce my ego, suck me in like mosquito

All black like Neo, is it magic or placebo?

Fill me up with it, anyways (possess me)”

Danny seeks humanity in Tim, he seeks to embrace his own humanity. He seeks to tether his entire being to Tim. Even if that also means embracing Tim’s love (the unknown) to fill it up anyways despite his fears.

“In this sleepy town, they speak to me in whispers

Say my name out loud

I dare you, free me now

I need you to see me now

I call you, draw you out”

This where the two meet halfway.

“I dare you, free me now” Tim also seeks a reprieve of his vigilante life, and CEO life, he wants to find himself in love. Allow Tim to have his own life outside of responsibilities. And Danny might be his tether to his own freedom.

Danny seeks for his own freedom outside of it all, he wants Tim to see him for who he is as a human outside of being King. They call to each other to see each other as who they really are.

“I am a shadow in the shape of a girl

I'm a bad omen with malevolent urges

They warned you, you want me

Together, we can bring ruin to the kingdom”

Danny is the king of the afterlife in the shape of a human and even if Tim is warned of this, he would still want him. And so together they bring ruin to those who seek to harm ghosts and humankind alike.

Damn I was hoping I’d slow down in the fifth draft chapter not on the fourth

Alright! 3/5 chapters almost done! I just realized once all of these will be released l’ll hit 100k words omg

Also going through my fic to figure out plot holes and omg I just realised I have a bad habit of having a new character say, “To what do I owe the pleasure?” Thrice too many in my fine opinion!

Fighting against using my own vocabulary is harder than you’d think, but all in a days work this is a passion project after all

Might end up busy af on Halloween so I predict ch14 to be posted sometime after!

I’m working on ch14 and ch15 right now, both are 6-8k words each at the moment. This might increase the more I edit.

I’ve decided to make at least 5 chapters ahead of time and THEN start posting. So 2/5 rough chapters, I’m on a writing spree so hopefully it gets done soon!

When I do, I’ll be posting every Tuesday so I’ll let you know when I start polishing ch14 for its release.

Guys…. I might’ve written too much for one chapter again and I can’t find a good place to end without cutting too much so you’ll be stuck with 8k to 9k words! We might break another personal record haha

But yeah instead of 10 chapters ahead of time I’ll just stick to 5 at the most bc 6-8k words takes more time than I thought it would

Rlly sad I can’t tap into some magical motivational energy bc I knew I had a lot of it at the beginning

But yay! Ch13 is coming around (even after all the revision and addition) so I’ll give you the title!

Chapter 13: The Power of Gotham Woman

It’s going to be set at a different time than where we left off, bc the end teaser of ch 12 was a time skip!

Remember Dick barging into Jason’s apt screaming ITS WEDNESDAY MY DUDES?

So it’s Wednesday and remember it started last night with Peter getting picked up by Jason who witnessed a magical freak out that made him pass out and they all had breakfast the next day.

After an awkward unofficial father and son moment (they’re both pretending they don’t know) Jason invites Peter to do some volunteer work before he goes to Wayne Tower for actual work.

At the Soup Kitchen he meets Harper and Cullen the Row siblings and we reveal that Peter knows Harper from his own dimension! She worked for Stark industries and she became a close mentor/friend!

After that Peter goes to work hangs out with Tim, goes out in the rain and enjoy batburger together, meets Alfred, and tinker on a new project that uses the same holographic tech Tony used!

Then he clocked out and went to the library to charge his power bank but nobody was there so he left it to charge and went to start his patrol as the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man!

This went awesomely bc he discovered a secret society along the river that is also an information network in the criminal world/red hood and certain bats and birds. He was given a side quest to deal with scarecrow whom of which is sending goons to prepare smth on the riverside. But they don’t trust Spider-Man to go alone so he goes to Signal with the information and they make a plan together.

Then Spider-Man continued his patrol and investigates a suspicious van, but was caught by Robin? Who accuses him of being a thief and thus a chase ensues.

This ends with Robin tied up in webs but he negotiates his freedom by making a deal. If Nightwing can escape the same trap he fell for, the punishments is moved to Spoiler and both Robin and Nightwing are free! Robin wins of course but Spider-Man was proud of him for using his words unlike before.

Then of course we have a time skip teaser of Peter in his civilian form meeting with The Riddler in Arkham Asylum with a box of spaghetti bolognese!

Remember this all happened in the same day, Wednesday. BUT in ch13 I will be filling in the time he left Robin and Nightwing to continue his patrol to the time he meets with The Riddler in the same night. Don’t worry it’s not too long, we’ll get to Thursday in ch13 I promise!
