Sorry for lack of posts y'all, life's been cray with the holidays. If anyone wants to thread feel free to pm me!
Mr. Raymond, is this a bad time?
One Of Us KoF {OPEN}
âI am so sorryâŠâ He smiled gently knowing at how she felt. Not able to stay home after what happened.Â
Bones kept his gaze on her when she stood next to him.Â
âWell I havenât heard your reputation so it must not be that bad. Vampires is something I havenât heard off in a long time and Iâve been around for a while.â He chuckled a bit. Bones loved people talking to him, he liked that they trusted him and were willing to open up with him. It was part of being an elder dragon.
âThey do tend to stay low. Thatâs why they didnât believe me when IâŠâ she trailed off. âThe person I was protecting was killed by one and no one believed me.â she finally stated, pursing her lips.
He carefully placed his hand on her shoulder. âI am very sorry. Well I believe you know. Vampires used to be just stories that my father told me as I grew up. Spawns of darkness and fear.â He sighed. Up until now he really did think they were just stories then again he was a lot of a legend as well.
âWas that incident the first time you encountered them?â
She shook her head gingerly. âOnly whispers and myths. But when I found him, he wasâŠit was obvious those stories were true.â her voice broke lightly. âI dont know why they did what they did.â
âAll I know is that once they did I vowed Iâd kill anyone who had anything to do with it.â She chuckled bitterly and swallowed hard. âSeems Iâve got them hunting me more than Iâm hunting them nowadays.â
He kept his hand on her shoulder. âIâm sorry, Peggy. If this is too difficult for you then we donât have too. It is a tendency of the elder dragons to make people comfortable so they share, that way we can help more.â He tried to be comforting but he was a bit out of practice. âIf I could answer that then we wouldnât be here. I want to say itâs just in their nature, they donât understand.â
âRevenge doesnât fill the gap that is left or sedate the anger. Believe me I know. âLucky I was here then.â
âAside from what you did back there, I simply dont see how you can help me.âÂ
She cracked her knuckles, willing all emotions other than rage deep into her heart again, locked up tight with all her memories of Chris.Â
âIâm not after revenge to take away my anger. Iâm after revenge to kill the blood suckers that killed my...â she trailed off. âIâm after the bloodsuckers that did this or die trying. If I succeed then Iâll die every ounce as angry as when I began my quest, but Iâll die knowing I won.âÂ

âReally? Thatâs something we have in common then. What brought you here?â He leaned against a tree behind him, keeping the gentle and kind smile on his lips. âI understand that. It will only become easier.â
Bones let himself get attached because heâd be more dangerous if his friends and family were harmed then nothing would hold back the castle sized dragon.
She pursed her lips. âThere was an accident.â
She too leaned on a tree and began to wring her hands again. Bad habit. Nervous habit for a merciless killer.
âI had to leave and started vampire hunting. Got a bit of a reputation, hence the giant horse all attacking at once. Itâs not normally like that.â she shrugged nonchalant. Why was she saying this? Was she so deprived of company sheâd share everything? She already had a rep for being the guard gone rogue. Maybe she was just pleased to meet a non violent face who didnât know her story.
The Prince (KoF Drabble)
Margaret sighed one more time, unfurling her toes and tugging the sheets tightly to her bosom before rolling onto the princes chest and kissing his nose.
He reached up, stroking her curls gingerly. "I was wondering how long it would be before we'd end up here," he smiled, holding her snugly.
"Oh, have I been a terrible tease?" she giggled. "Everyone knows, you realize,"
"We were sneaky," he winked, his sandy blond hair was so beautiful in the moonlight...he was so light. An angel.
"You haven't been very sneaky with your flirting, prince," this she was worried about.
"Not to worry, my miss Margaret," his fingers playfully traveled up and bonked her nose. "No one will care once I make you a Mrs. Margaret.
Her brown eyes stared back at him. "Mrs.?"
"Oh, don't look so afraid. We'll change your name, no one here actually cares, it's only for appearances. We'll make you the duchess of somewhere or another. Drop Carter, give some much more pretentious name," he laughed joyously. "I'll just be happy when I don't have to hide my affection for you any more,"
She watched as he dressed, her mind beginning to swim. They'd cared for each other since she'd arrived, they both knew that, but this had been the first time they'd gone beyond flirting, the first time she'd been in anyones bed. And the dear prince...as head of security she was constantly by his side and knew that he wasn't lying. The sweet, sweet prince. Her sweet prince. Sweet Chris.
"Chris, I don't..."
"Darling," he said. Her stomach fluttered. "You will be the most amazing queen."
This didn't help the swimming of her head. "Your father-"
"I'll deal with all that," he said. "Now please...Dont dwell on the details. For now, you are my miss Margaret, and that's all we need to know. That and I love you." he leaned over the bed and kissed her. "I had something made for you. It's in the drawer. I'm going to go for a walk."
Queen be damned, she had a job. "Not without your head of security."
He chucked again, such a sweet sound, like the ringing of a bell. "Just down the hall. I need to think, my love. Tomorrow, we'll the The Prince and his head of security. For now, you're my love and I'm your man, and we'll return to this state tomorrow night. Deal?"
She softened, her heart felt so warm. She felt so warm and full. "Deal."
Once he left, so nonchalant, his shirt still showing just the bare minimum of chest hair. she walked to the drawer as her mind chewed on the new turn of events.
Her be queen? She had come to the palace a peasant and worked her way to security because she earned it. She worked for it. She wouldn't be working to be queen, could she even agree to it?
She'd be a good queen. A good wife. She knew this.
Out of the drawer she pulled a lovely long white nightgown. She scoffed. Fit for any princess or queen. Chris would be the one to think of this. He'd likely had it hidden for weeks.
She slid the light silky material over her callous worn body and relished in it before diving back into the soft feather bed.
Whether she'd agree to wed him or not, she knew she loved him. And he loved her.
--
When Margaret opened her eyes, she heard running up and down the hall, a loud commotion and a scream.
She bolted upright and started towards the door.
"Oh my God! The prince!"
Margaret's stomach dropped lower than her knees and her eyes watered. She would not allow this. She bolted towards the noises, grabbing a weapon off the knight statue in the hall. A metal stake. It would due.
She skidded in bare feet across the rough rocky castle floor before she came upon the scene.
"Christopher," she murmured.
Immediately she was at the side of her lover, on top of him as she began to resuscitate him, blood staining her nightgown and lips. There was blood on his perfect pale lips, oh God...
Flesh from his throat was torn to shreds, no longer bleeding, his pale corpse seemed dry, empty of blood, but whoever did this wanted the job done, he was full of holes, full of wounds, mangled pieces of flesh... âDarling...â
Margaret couldn't bring herself to weep, she stood, stake bared, "How!?"
"Where were you!?"  screeched a  hen like woman. "Head of security, my a..." she trailed off as she looked Margaret over. Tousled hair, silken nightie she'd never have worn otherwise. her face smeared and obviously disheveled.
"You...Where were you?" she asked again, stepping closer. "Where were you!?" she demanded, taking hold of one of her ringlets and yanking it like a child.
She shoved the woman away. "That doesn't matter, who did this?"
"You weren't here!" another cried.
"In bed with the prince..." sneered another.
"Oh my god!" a young girl, a few years younger than herself screamed. "She was a distraction!"
More people were starting to show up, gathering around the princes shredded body and her bloody self, weapon in hand.
"The slut was a distraction!" a man yelled.
"I saw it coming!" squabbled the hen. "No wonder she'd 'the best'...she was behind the plot!"
"Guard!" someone finally cried out.
Margaret saw the armored men closing in on her, if only she had her own protection, not just some filmy shred of silk. She pulled up her excess material to prepare for an attack, wielding her stake. "I did not do this," she tried to pacify them. "I would never do this! Look at his throat!" her voice broke as she looked at Chris again. "A vampire did this! This must have been a planned attack!"
The guard didn't seem to care, and three began to close in on her.
"Please, you're my friends...I don't want to hurt you!"
It didn't stop them, and her reflexes quickly had the first staked through the heart.
She stared at the hole in the guards chest. He fell off her stake, leaving it stained.
She was now an enemy of the crown.
She spun on her heel and ran, this is why she is- was- head of security. She had speed and agility. She ran hard and fast, listening to the metal clank of men pursuing her. A window at the end of the corridor beckoned her name.
Oh Christopher...
She lept through, the glass shattering around her and into her, breaking hr skin and leaving hopeless scars on her arms. She plunged towards the ocean and welcomed the deadly fate that lied beneath the waves.
The water was so cold when she went in, her nightgown twisted around her legs threatening to drown her when she realized she had one reason to live.
Christopher.
Those damned vampires would die for this.
They would all die, and she'd die and Chris would be avenged.
And she would be with him again.
She paddled towards the surface, following the bubbles. All this time in the kingdom by the sea, Chris promising her a trip to the beach where heâd teach her how to swim. She pushed her lungs to point of bursting, sure she would perish here in the icy depths.
But break through she did, the air pirecing even colder than the water.
She dragged herself onto the sandy shore, coughing and spluttering. She looked down at herself. She looked like a whore. A common bought whore. At least she wouldnât be recognized. There was always one safe place for a whore. Chilled the bone, she started a harried walk along the rocky shore, breaking and tearing her poor torn feet.
--
"heh," said the grubby man as she gave him what little currency she had on her. "He lecherously stared at her. "Looks liek you had a rough night,"
"Indeed," she said, donning the leather jacket. He pouted as she covered up.
"What name do I put on the ledger?" she grunted.
"Peggy," she said, tucking her handy stake into her belt loop. "Peggy Carter."

âYou donât own me anything, Peggy. I gladly help. Itâs what I do.â He took her hand gently and gave it a shake.
âI understand, being independent and fending for yourself but you should never be ashamed to ask for help. The is no shame in not being able to handle something.â He saw the blush in her cheeks and smiled/
Her face was rosy with embarrassment, but the manâŠdragonâŠpersonâŠthingâŠin front of her seemed very sincere. He was young, but seemed very nurturing. The type youâd want to share your whole story with.Â
âI guess Iâve just gotten a little too good at taking care of myself.â she shrugged lightly and wrung her dirty hands nervously.Â
Bones kept his arms folded but a kind smile while he watched the woman. âItâs a good thing to be good at, taking care of yourself I mean. Still donât worry about asking people for help. Just ask the right people.â He chuckled lightly and ran his brown fingers through his hair.
âWell, before I ended up here, it was my job to take care of people,â she started. âBeing alone has been a pretty rough transition.â
God, sheâd barely spoken this much in months, aside from from overly snarky banter with a vamp. She felt anxious talking friendly with someone. Getting attached was bad. Very bad.

Bones smiled, good answer. âClever girl.â He nodded his head in approval and when she said her name, he shifted. His scales becoming his clothes and he nodded. âThat was nothing. Itâs a pleasure to meet you. Iâm Bones.â His voice was gentler now, not as rumbling as when he was a dragon and there was warmth to it.
âI owe you a great debt,â she said, still taken aback. She jutted out her hand to shake his.Â
âThis doesnât happen often, I assure you,â she blushed madly and looked away. âIâm not exactly one to ask for help.â

âWhat a good little fighter she is,â said the one in the front, with longing and lust in her eyes. âCanât I play with her a bit longer?â another female said, teeth bared. âI think Iâll make her my toy,â said a male voice behind the dark woman. Her hair stood on end and back straightened as she turned to face him. âNot if I make you mine first,â she half curtsied, then lunged, letting out a loud battle cry and coming down on him hard with her stake, already red and dripping. âFelix!â cried a female, then she was upon her too. Peggy grabbed her face and shaved it into the dead ones, letting her taste his blood before staking her as well. Feeling accomplished, she went to take on the one loner, but found the woods were swirling all around her, alive with movement. âItâs about time we tracked you down,â said a mysterious voice from the beyond. âYes, yesâŠâ whispered another. âWhat do they call you, Margaret? Oh yesâŠPegsâŠâ âPeggy Carter,â another said. âInfamous with a stake,â in a flash, her weapon was ripped from her hand and into the dark. She quickly wielded another one from under her coat. How many where there? 20, 30, more? All one attack. âSo infamous you have to get every vampire here at once to kill me? How terrifying,â she scoffed. âKill?â âNot kill,â âWhy would kill such a good fighter?â The fear that was already in the back of her throat was starting to spread.  "Iâll die before I become like you!â âWhy so hateful?â the voices were all together, like a drunken slur. âAll because of a prince? All because of one night with a prince?â it hissed as a whole. Peggy gripped her stake so tight the splinters were biting into her hand. âShut up.â âOne night, a security guard and a prince,â it taunted. âWe knewâŠwe knowâŠâ âShut up!â she screamed and lunged for the darkness, knowing she might not return. Until she heard a vampire give itâs death cry behind her. She whipped around to see what or who had caused it. She wasnât alone.
Bones had been flying in the area when he heard voices, remaining out of sight he circled the conversation. It sounded a bit dodgy so he felt he might have to join in and help protect the woman. Peggy Carter. He then heard her run, her heart pounding in her chest. Immediately he dropped from the sky and landed between her and the vampires with a thud.Â
Bones let out a roar and clawed the ground. âBack away now or I will burn you all with fire. Even vampires canât withstand such heat.â His voice was deep and made the ground shake. He looked back towards the woman. âAre you alright?â
His blood red scales looked black in the night
Peggy staggered back, eyes large as saucers. Out if all the things sheâd seen⊠This was a firstâŠ
She stumbled backwards, along with the horde, only realizing this after her back made contact with the chest of a cold vampire. Shaking off her awe and returning to survival mode, she quickly whipped her stake into his chest. He was too awestruck to scream and merely looked down at his bleeding chest.
âYou heard the beast,â she said, slowly withdrawing the weapon from his flesh. âFlee.â
When they took too long to flee he felt the fire in his chest before the flames flew from his mouth burning the leader alive, turning itâs body into ash. He roared and the others ran off. Â
He swung his head around to look at her before turning around completely. âBefore I change my face I need to know whoâs side you are on. The queens or against the queen.â
"I'm on my side," she said, trying to catch her breath and take in the whole magical creature in front of her. He was so beautiful... And terrifying.
"And I'm on the side of the man who just saved my life." She dropped her stake and dipped her head. "I'm Peggy Carter."

So rough, he was, with hard callous fingers that explored her every inch. This was not the soft love a prince had given, this was hard, rough, and selfish. Scratching the itches they couldnât reach themselves. She wriggled playfully under his pin, and struggled to escape, which seemed to give him much satisfaction so she dug her nails into his back, enjoying every bit of this night and the man about to enter her.
â-
Blake winced, but it turned into a smile as he traced kisses down her neck to her breasts. âWhatâre you thinking?â He asked, a hand teasing her inner thigh, but staying just shy of the prize, as his stubble simultaneously brushed her chest as he watched her. âWhat do you want?â He questioned quietly, but a smile tugged at his lips.
"I'm thinking it's time you shut up," she laughed, biting her lip with pure excitement in her eyes.
"What I want is to be fucked so hard I forget everything I've ever seen," the glint in her eye looked straight into his, and she squirmed under him playfully. "And scream louder than a maid whose just seen her first vampire,"
She entwined her fingers into his hair and roughly brought his fave to hers, kissing him long and hard, simultaneously wrapping her legs right to his waist and locking her ankles.
