I painted my cat, cuz cat. Been a few years since I painted in oil so I made loads of mistakes but I don’t wanna overwork it to death. Good enough. My plan is to make up a portfolio and start doing commissions. But not until after the JLPT. I wanna do a mural next or a portrait of my sister.

Sometimes my emotions come up with a feeling that settles into a lacuna. I wanted to express a feeling of advanced regret, but not dread. There wasn’t fear, but a calming sort of sadness. So I ended up writing a poem bout it. Hadn’t written a poem all year.

Pregret

Possibles push me out on all fours and nipping tell lies shaped of clouded cotton-love are you well? are you well enough? are you enough? Dying back with rumbling doubt and there leaking over sky-sets I see Inevitable looming, breaking over, posturing, seeping through, just as a weeping sore such that creeps towards hope. Inevitable doesn’t rumble, yet booms inside. are you? are you? you? I look up and see Inevitable and as doubt rumbles back and I can’t trust the translation of those words anymore.

1. Relationship status: I just did a Freudian spelling slip and wrote relationshit....does that cover it? P and T aren’t even next to each other on the keyboard...

2. Lipstick or Chapstick: well my eczema is so problematic I can’t open my mouth without chapstick so...I guess I’m married now.

3. Three favorite foods: Soondubujjigae, Ginger candies, brussel sprouts

4. Song stuck in your head: My Dearest Dear, folk song.

5. Last Movie you watched: Ocean’s 8 awhile ago. Meh.

6. Top three shows: ugh don’t torture me! Mad About You, Steven Universe, Russel Howard’s Good News, but really I watch youtube comedy gold more than anything else. So top three there would be Jenna Marbles, RTGame, and Simon and Martina.

7. Books I’m currently reading: Well English language is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In Japanese I’m working my way through Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto. Also I’m writing a book and constantly re-reading that...does that count?

8. Last Thing I Googled: Pentel Brush Pen / Dick Blick website

9. Time: I can’t work under these conditions.

10. Dream Trip: To go to every single prefecture in Japan at a leisurely pace. None of this two day is a long trip crap.
