Hubert Robert (May 22, 1733 – April 15, 1808)

Etheldreda Laing was around 38 years old when she first took pictures of her daughters using Autochrome, an early colour process. She would later become known for her work with color photography, and particularly for the series of pictures of her daughters.

Older daughter Janet was around 12 years old and Iris was roughly seven when Etheldreda first started photographing them.

These photos were taken in the garden of their Oxford home, in 1908.

shit ive been thinkin about with ‘youtube culture’

when jon left game grumps it was extremely obvious that it was something that he and arin wanted to keep private, likely for both professional and personal reasons, and despite how obvious that was people still took it upon themselves to make a fucking subreddit breaking down every single fucking interaction they’d had both before and after the breakup, speculate wildly in the comments section on any given video with jon in it, tweet accusations at both parties, and generally just be nosy assholes who invade people’s personal lives because they felt entitled to know the gory details

yet when a youtuber is accused of doing (OR ACTUALLY FILM THEMSELVES DOING) something actually terrible like abuse/sexual harrassment/rape/assualt I.E. Sam Pepper, Onison, Mike Lombardo (who was thankfully convicted), Tom Milsom, and most recently Tobuscus, suddenly that obsessive need-to-know devolves into a clusterfuck of slutshaming accusations and ‘innocent until proven guilty’ rhetoric and a general hesitance to believe anything, no matter how corroborated it is. You want the nitty gritty? ok, here they are. here’s 8 of them. and all of a sudden that proof’s not enough but they’re not gonna be the ones to examine it, oh no, that’s for the courts to decide
