I moved. My two best friends and my partner got me packed, the house cleaned out, and here. I am eternally grateful - I could not have done it without them.

Me, former Catholic, family religious, brother a monk and Adam, former Catholic, born, raised, and still lives in a Chicago suburb, are having a field day with the new pope, sending memes and skeets back and forth lol

Life update:

My guy and I found a house to rent and our lease starts at the end of next this month (I forgot it's May already). I'm giving work my notice next week with the 30th being my last day. Then I have friends who will come here and help me pack and clean out the house (my chronic fatigue is DIRE, y'all).

It feels surreal, I keep waiting for something to happen and fuck it up, but I think it's actually happening!

I DID tell y'all that my brother became a Benedictine monk, right? I never really left Tumblr, I just quit posting and interacting, so I'm up to date on you all :P

In a few months (potentially sooner if I get fucked by an RTO mandate), I'll be moving to the Chicago area. I'm both super excited and terrified as shit, as I have never lived outside of Ohio or more than 2 hours from family. Adam is amazing and I love him dearly. I'm excited to get to know his kids better (10 year old girl who could honestly be MY kid, and a 16 year old boy who is a mini-Adam, except he's 6'2 and taller than Adam is lol). I would have moved a while ago, but I wanted to complete PSLF (which I got in riiiight before the end of 2024), and hit 25 years in the state retirement system (which I will in April)

Does anyone have an example of gentol totch? Like when people use it to mean gentle touch? I tried explaining it to my friends and they don't get it

Edit: I've looked everywhere, used every possible permutation of misspelling that I could think of, and I can't find it
