Hi! I just started uploading my original comic called Mythic. If you like stories involving Irish mythical creatures and legends then I think you'll like this. It's more slow-paced and character driven but will have action later on.
webtoons.com/en/canvas/myth…
Page previews.
Life was never the same for Slaine Cassidy after she finds the Demon Lord of Pride Lucemon. Can she fully tame this digimon, or will destiny
I am restarting my Digimon Fancomic on webtoon. Done digitally with colour :D
A new AMV and it's another Reki/Langa. I had so much fun with this one!
Gija Appreciation Post
*deep breath* ok, let's go.
This has been bothering me for sometime now.
Why does almost no one love or appreciate Gija??
I asked my sister this and she said "cuz he's a spoiled rich boy".
*deeper breath and cracks knuckles*
Y'ALL don't understand.
*ahem*
He has been stuck in a room basically all his life. He's been put on this pedestal. Having people say he's destined for greatness -- that he's above everyone else in the village... But his destiny hadn't appeared for 20 years of his life. It's very stressful, and hard on you when you feel you must live up to these perceptions and expectations that have been placed on you, especially when 20 years has gone by with nothing to show for it.
Yes, he may have been "spoiled" with riches and whatnot. But his life was hard in other aspects -- think about it... Being kept to your room most the time and being above everyone else. I'm guessing it was almost like when Aang found out he was the Avatar, and so no one wanted to play with him anymore. It didn't seem like Gija knew anyone other than his Granny, it must've been so lonely.
And being kept to your room all your life? People go insane that way. It probably built up a lot of emotional struggles. Like Miketsukami Soushi from Inu x Boku SS -- his family saw the white 9 tailed fox genetic throwback as like, a good luck charm for their family's prosperity... And they caged him in a room most of his life like an animal at the zoo and he built up so so so much unfathomable mental damage and hurt from that. I know Gija's wasn't to that extreme, but it's still along the same lines... It must've been really hard on him emotionally and mentally. Sitting there all day, staring at the walls. Staring out the window, waiting for SOMETHING to happen.
Plus, no one in the village referred to him as a person. No one used his given name. They all just called him "White Dragon", which I think would be terrible on your mental health. You'd feel as if you had no identity other than that one trait or aspect of you. I personally HATE when people know what I do for a living and just assume that's all I am -- all I think about and care about -- people are so much more than their "jobs".
And now he's on his first journey... And he's falling head over heels for Yona, but doesn't understand that... And his heart constantly aches because she's never going to choose him 😩😣💔
We love you Gija 🙏💕 I would choose you 😉👍🏻
artist tips
don’t save as jpeg
as a former yearbook editor and designer, let me explain this further
if youre only planning on posting your art online, them please save it as .png ;this is also better for transparencies as well
BUT
please, if youre planning of printing your art, NEVER use png. it makes the quality of the image pretty shitty. use jpeg or pdf instead. and always set your work at 300dpi to get a better printing quality - this means, the images are crisper and sharper and theres no slight blurriness. i had a talk with my friend who is currently taking design, and pdf is much better to use when youre working with a bigger publishing company because it still has the layers intact, but if youre only planning on printing your stuff at staples or at some small publishing store, the jpeg is the way to go.
this has been a public service announcement
Want a good picture to save as? PNG
Want a good printed picture? JPEG

I'm enjoying this little project of mine!
reki is literally my perfect anime guy
Like his sense of style, his personality, his smile, the hair, the pretty eyes, attitude, it was love at first sight I tell you
I just finished this anime and off course I had to make an amv on it. Renga is such a sweet pairing!

I never got to watch YuYu Hakusho as a kid, so I started binging it last year and I'm OBSESSED. Botan is adorable and so fun to draw ♥♥♥
I believe Digimon got away with things because the monsters aren’t real and kinda poof into magic cloud dust when they die. Then again I saw WarGreymon torpedo up MetalSeadramons nose and rip him to shreds after Whamon got shot through his head. So could have just been a crazier time. Like I remember an episode of Megaman where Shademan gets his arm shot off in full view but he’s data so it’s ok.
Oh I'm not talking about the cartoon violence. I can see why that was allowed, since it was so far from looking real.
I'm talking about how viscerally it addressed more serious and realistic issues, in Digimon Tamers specifically. I mean... Jeri blamed herself for her mother's death, her dad was borderline abusive towards her because he couldn't cope with his wife's passing, and her partner was murdered in front of her by a former frenemy who'd been beaten within an inch of his life while trying to take on a foe he couldn't possibly best. Which then caused him to agree to a power boost in exchange for trying to murder his sort-of friends... and then to only regret it after he'd killed Jeri's partner Leomon, and been saved from being killed in revenge BY Jeri, who was breaking down crying, begging for his life because she couldn't stand for anyone else to die because of him. And then for her to be kidnapped by an Eldritch Horror that fed off of her misery and pretended to be her, trapping her in her own nightmares, until the dude who murdered her partner tried to save her. And when her PTSD acted up and she couldn't take his hand in time, she blamed herself again and tried to strangle herself with her own hand because she believed she only caused pain and misery to everyone around her.
How I turned an idea into an outline
With NaNoWriMo around the corner, I thought I might show you how I plotted my novel.
This is the story structure I used:
0% inciting incident
0%-20% introduction in the world, ends with a point of no return
20% first plot point: the hero receives his marching orders
20%-50% response to the first plot point
35% first pinch point: reminder of the nature of the antagonistic force
50% midpoint: big fat plot twist that changes the hero’s AND reader’s experience
50%-80% attack: the stakes are higher now
65% second pinch point: again reminding the reader of the antagonistic forces at hand
80% second plot point: the final injection of new information into the story to give the hero everything she needs to become the primary catalyst in the story’s conclusion (no new information past this point)
80%-100% resolution + final conflict + return home
I didn’t make this up. I think it’s by Larry Brooks, if The Internet informs me correctly. Fun Fact: once you pay attention to it, you’ll see this structure everywhere. Just take a look at any Harry Potter book, for example.
These points are the “bones” of my story. Next, I decided what “flesh” to put on them.
I simply made a list of things I like to read about:
Books about books and libraries
Magic
Quirky characters
Intelligent, fast-paced and sometimes silly
So, I combined this list and the structure points into a story that makes sense. Because I don’t want to spoil my plot / I am still to shy about my wip, I will make up a new plot for this post, so I can show you.
0%: The hero does something magical without knowing how she did it. She discards it, because everybody knows it can’t have been real.
0%-20%: We see the daily life of the hero: she is unhappy because all she wants to do is read, but she is not allowed to. She reads in the dead of night and is punished for it by her evil stepcousin. She finds a book on magic.
20% It all clicks together: she can do magic!
20%-50% The daily life for the hero changes. Instead of reading all night, she practices magic. She now loves books even more. She has little victories over her evil stepcousin, but hasn’t won yet.
35% The evil stepcousin finds out that she can do magic and takes away the magic book.
50% She discovers she can do magic without the book.
50%-80% The hero is not the only one who is bullied by the evil stepcousin. Her younger cousin is a victim as well, and he doesn’t have magic to defend himself. The stakes are raised, this is bigger than herself now. The younger cousin also wants to read, so they have several bonding moments over reading.
65% The evil stepcousin hurts the younger cousin, he’s in a coma now.
80% The hero discovers the evil stepcousin could do all these evil things because he knows magic too.
80%-100% The hero confronts the evil stepcousin, fights him off, nearly loses but wins in the end. He gives up and releases his power over the younger cousin who wakes up from the coma.
It’s not the most genius plot ever, but I literally made this up in minutes. So can you! And imagine the genius plot you can come up with if you spend more than a few minutes on it.
Then I calculated how many scenes I need in which part of the story. My wip is a YA or 12+ book, so I want it to contain about 75,000 words in total. I want my scenes to be around 1,000 words long to keep it snappy, so I need 75 scenes.
Scene number 1 (0%) is the inciting incident, scene number 15 (20%) is the first plot point, scene number 26 (35%) is the first pinch point, scene number 37 (50%) is the midpoint, scene number 49 (65%) is the second pinch point, scene number 60 (80%) is the second plot point and scene 75 (100%) is the last scene.
Some sidenotes on the 1,000-word scenes:
That’s more of a vague rule of thumb than a strict rule. If your scene needs to be longer or shorter, make it longer or shorter of course. My wip has some 2,300-word scenes as well.
Having 1,000-word scenes does not mean I have 1,000-word chapters, that would be really short. I will divide my novel into chapters after I’m finished writing my first draft.
For NaNoWriMo, maybe you could write scenes of 1,667 words, so you do one scene per day. A 50,000-word novel has 30 scenes of 1,667 words. Inciting incident is at scene 1, first plot point at scene 6, first pinch point at scene 11, midpoint at scene 15, second pinch point at scene 20, second plot point at scene 24 and scene 30 is your last scene. That’s just an idea, you got to see what works for you.
Then I made up in one sentence what will happen in every scene. For example: “They meet the dragon and he sends them on a sidequest.” Now my outline consists of 75 one-sentence scenes. This way, I prevent the problem of the sagging middle and other pacing problems and I still get to surprise myself when writing.
From those one-sentence scenes, I flesh out every scene into a first draft, using the process I described in my post How I never have to face an empty page when I write.
And that’s my first draft! I hope everything is clear. Feel free to ask me questions if it isn’t.
I’m gonna tag a few people I admire, who I hope are interested. If you aren’t, feel free to ignore me, or message me to take you off my tag list. If you would like to be added to my writing advice tag list, let me know.

Restore Ouchmaster5000's Channel to Youtube
My name is Zach. I like to make AMVs (Anime Music Videos)
On May 27, 2022, my youtube channel where I upload these AMVs was deactivated, apparently for the following reasons:
“Your account has been terminated due to repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines on Nudity and Sexual content. Youtube is not the place for nudity, pornography and other sexually provocative content.”
However, Youtube’s community guidelines (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802002) states:
“If your content violates this policy, we’ll remove the content and send you an eMail to let you know. if this is your first time violating our community guidelines, you will likely get a warning with no strike to your channel. If it’s not, we may issue a strike against your channel. If you get three strikes within 90 days, your channel will be terminated.”
I HAVE NOT HAD A STRIKE ON MY CHANNEL SINCE 2020 - ALMOST 2 YEARS.
They claim they will sometimes delete a channel automatically in cases of “severe abuse” but I am highly skeptical my channel or any of my videos could count as “severe abuse” for several reasons:
1. Roughly 2/3 of the videos on my channel were completely safe for work. I had 9 AMVs, plus 5 other assorted videos. Between all of them, only 4 could be considered at all sexual in nature.
2. Those four videos are not at all uncommon on youtube. They were not pornography or hentai. and there was no full frontal nudity or gentalia, just music videos that took footage from anime with fanservice.
I’ve seen plenty of other AMVs of a similar nature on youtube. I will not link any, as I don’t want them taken down if youtube reads this, but I will link an example of an official music video by a popular artist that is way more sexual than any of the AMVs that I’ve made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsm4poTWjMs
Frankly, if “Wet Ass Pussy” is allowed on Youtube, then so should my videos. The only treason my channel got deactivated and their’s didn’t is because they are a popular musical artist. It’s completely hypocritical.
Furthermore, even the advertisements on youtube, especially mobile game ads, are often just as sexual. Here are some videos documenting these cases:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsKlfN9phAs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ1LwSjjvOc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCtl7z94joQ
Mind you I have no issues with these ads themselves, just youtube’s insane double standards regarding them.
At least with my AMVs, the person who clicks on them usually knows what they are getting into, provided they are familiar with the anime the footage is from, which usually in the title (unless I used too many anime to list) and clear from the thumbnail, and most people going to my channel would be familiar with anime in general. My most raunchy video even included a warning at the beginning. And yet youtube takes my channel down.
Meanwhile, these ads will just pop up without warning on any video, even completely non-sexual ones, which has the potential to catch people (posibly including children) off guard. But youtube is okay with them because they are paying youtube money to be there, which is all Youtube really cares about.
The hypocrisy is so obvious I shouldn’t even have to explain it.
3. The third reason I don’t think my channel qualifies as “severe abuse’ is the fact that by far the most raunchy of my AMVs "Touch Fluffy Tail (Monster Girl AMV)” was the very video that caused the aforementioned strike on my channel two years ago. - The ONLY one up to this point. Youtube took it down, and i re-uploaded it and attempted to age-restrict it this time (though I must have done something wrong since I later got an eMail from youtube they age restricted it themselves) And none of the other videos I’ve uploaded since then could be considered “worse” than that video (My kill la Kill and Senran Kagura AMVs have titilating moments, but not to the same extent.)
This is important because that means about 2 years ago moderators had already looked at my raunchiest video twice, and neither time did they feel it was worth taking down my whole channel. Basically, if my channel was not “severe” enough to be taken down 2 years ago, there is no reason it should suddenly be considered “severe” enough to be taken down now.
Even then, despite all this, when I contacted youtube I did not ask them to let me keep the video - in part because they have thus far resfused to even name which video(s) upset them - but simply asked that they not delete my entire channel. Assuming they did not flag one of my safe for work videos by accident, I said I would be willing to take down the video(s) if they simply restore my channel, even though I do not agree with their decision.
They have been thus far unwilling to do so, and have been completely inflexible and unhelpful in every way. They will not tell me video, so i don’t no for certain whether something fine got flagged by accident, their replies are so vague and identical i cant be certain my channel has even been reviewed by a real person, despite them claiming it has been, and for all I know my channel might have ben hacked by someone who uploaded actual porn or something (its highly unlikely, but since they won’t even tell me the name of the video, I technically can’t rule that out as a possibility)
Hence why I have decided to make this petition (One of my family members has also contacted a lawyer on my behalf, but that may prove fruitless if we are unable to find a way to get in contact with anyone from youtube’s legal department.)
Recently, i have uploaded my AMVs to a couple other platforms, but they are unlikely to get as much traffic or views as they would on youtube:
https://vimeo.com/user109379937
https://odysee.com/@Ouchmaster5000:2
(Vimeo currently has ALL my AMVs, while Odysee is missing a couple since it only uploads videos in widescreen format)
Now for a question you may be wondering:
Why Should People Care?
Because I am surely not the only person out there dealing with this sort of situation. Currently the only way someone can eMail youtube directly or live chat with Youtube Creator Support is if they are part of YouTube’s Partner Program, and one can only be a part of that program if they:
Follow all the YouTube channel monetization policies.
Live in a country region where the YouTube Partner Program is available.
have no active community guideline strikes on their channel.
Have more than 4,000 valid public watch hours in the last 12 months.
Have more than 1,000 subscribers.
Have a linked adsense account.
Without being part of the program, the only options available if your channel gets removed, or a video gets taken down are the appeal forms and the @TeamYoutube twitter page (neither of which have been willing to restore my channel.)
This puts smaller channels that have just started out at a HUGE disadvantage if their channel or videos get removed.
Obviously this one petition isn’t enough to change that, and is more focused on me getting my channel back, but if enough individual creators decide to protest youtube’s decisions and cause a huge stink about it, they may eventually relent and change their policies.
My plan is, if this petition gets enough signatures, to link it in replies to as many of youtube’s social media channels as possible (twitter, facebook, intagram etc.) repeatedly, for as long as it takes, until they at the very least have no choice but to aknowledge it.
